• How to select text on several pages of the PDF document

  I really could use your expertise.  I know that some people will say it is not a question of Acrobat, but I think it might be.  I scanned the 3 pages and saved in PDF format.  When I open the file it opens in Microsoft Document Imaging.  I have ocr and then I save it to PDF and open it in Acrobat 8 Pro.  I need to select text in the 3 pages and can only find a way to select the text on the first page?  I don't want to retype this information if any suggestion would be great.  I tried to save to tiff, but that no longer works.  I have a lot of reports I have to scan and then select text and cut and paste to word.  Is there a better product to achieve?  Remember that documents will be scanned.

  Since you have OCR has analysis and the PDF file contains text, the easiest way is to use Save as and select DOC. Don't expect formatting and others to be preserved, but typing must be intact. The other option is to a continuous page view and highlight the entire document, then copy and paste the word. Yet once, you won't have to preserve formatting and others. Other than that (which, from what I've read, what you asked), I'm not clear on what you are after.

Have tried to place a text field and also tried a text in a fluid subform, assigning several lines, keep later, but is not only of course how to set up properly.  I see the sign at the bottom of the text box, but when I saw it, it does not flow to the other pages.  Hoped to avoid setting up 10 + pages in the form, from the time these terms are updated, and it would be much faster to just be able to copy and paste from Word in a correctly set text field or subform.  Hope that makes sense and to appreciate all the advice, thank you.

  1. Get your text in Word (or anywhere where you want to change the text so that it looks right).
  2. Open a document in LiveCycle (a new one if you are starting from scratch, in any case)
  3. Select your subform page1, set the content to be Flowed (allow page breaks automatically).
  4. Add a text field (make sure it is listed under this subform page1).
  5. Change the position of the legend to zero text box and make sure allow multiple lines is verified (as well as allow page breaks). Expand a height fixed auto
  6. Click the default value for the text field. Paste this 9 page document inside.
  7. Wait a few seconds (or minutes) for LiveCycle catch up.
  8. Listen to samples and enjoy your new document with several pages paged automatically for you.

  I understand that you are unable to scan multiple documents in a single file. I'll do my best to help you and to solve this problem. First of all, I need to know what your operating system on your computer? Click here to discover: Windows or Mac?

  I would recommend performing this step of your computer, the HP software. It is much easier to achieve. Please follow this document HP How to digitize. Click on your appropriate operating system, and then click "how to scan multiple pages into a single file. You will notice indicates: (digitization of additional pages is supported at 300 dpi or less.)

  1. Place a document on the scanner glass, and then click Scan your computer.
  2. When the preview scan appears, click the Plus sign ( ) on the left side of the window to scan additional pages. If you do not use an ADF, you must load the next page of the document on the glass of the scanner to add to each additional page.

  You can use the redacting tools to remove throughout the document. In the case of a date that is the living text (which is not part of an image), I think you can find it under the tools > Protection > search for and remove text.

  Hi, I had several subforms placed in 4 or 5 pages, what I would do is to show them in a way that if a subform are not visible on a single page (there is no chance a subform takes more height 1 page) then this subform to be located at the beginning of the next page, isntead of cut and split in the previous and the next.

  Click the subform in the hierarchy. Under object > subform uncheck "allow Page Breaks in the content.

  I was tasked to create a very large project.  Since the total slides will be in the thousands, I want to handle everything that goes into this project with the styles.  For the text, I decided I want the text in the Captivate, images of the imported PowerPoint presentation text.  Appliances, I'm going to copy all the text in the text caption boxes (I guess the legend text boxes are the only option for text boxes, but please correct me if I'm wrong). I created a new style of legend in the Style of the object manager, but I don't see anywhere to set the location of the grid of the text caption so it appears in the same place on each slide.  How to adjust the alignment of the caption text (alignment of the grid of the slide, no alignment of the text in the box)?

  Apparently, the change that you're talking about is happening because of spacing. It is the spacing is added to the right of the 'g', causing the light displacement.

  Try pointing out the last letter of the text ('g') and letter spacing setting to 0.

  I have the text on top a rectangle with a shape layer. Now I want to align the text to the center of the rectangle shape. I select the two layers, although the option to align the text sometimes shows and sometimes does not. When it shows the horizontal option is grayed out. How this is done?

  -TopRight
  -TopAndBottomRight
  -TopAndBottomLeft

  The problem is that I manually set the columns so they look aligned on my system, but when I send the form to someone else, the numbers are out of alignment on their system.

  One thing you can do is to create a button and its value icon what is layout you want and control the visibility of the button in the events of mouse input/output, either using JavaScript or show/hide the actions field. It seems that is what you did, but you also need to set the tab order so that the button (or a text field) is after the fields that appear through. (Aka stacking order) order for the fields is identical to the tab order.

  I'm building a 300 more catalog pages and installing it, I created Masters with text boxes that flow from one page to the next. It has been very helpful at the beginning, when I would realize that I had to add something to the page 30 and I was on page 150.  But now that I'm basically done, and I'm just change - if I add the line on page 30 - all my titles and text from there on bumps out if I remember deleting a line offset.  I tried to turn off patterns, but instead of leaving things on the page I, he wants excess all text in there and I end up with a loaded cursor want me to tell him where to drop all of this text.

  One of the scripts that comes pre-installed with InDesign is called 'SplitStory.jsx '.

  It seems that all your blocks of text are threaded to one another throughout your 300-page catalogue. If this is the case and you want to break the thread between all these text frames, select one of them and run the SplitStory script.

  Once you have done this, you should find that your page layout is maintained if you add lines. Instead, if you add too many lines to fit a frame, it will become in excess, but won't push the lines in the next section.

  I would recommend a backup of your document in its current state before running the script, just in case later, you find that it is actually not so convenient that all the blocks of text are separated!
