  I managed to fix the problem for about 20 minutes by flattening my computer re - install the operating system and this resolved until all updates have been through, and then it disappeared again.  I tried many codecs packs and this still does not help.

  My system is running Windows 7 and Media Player version is 12.0.7601.18840, which tells me that Media Player is the most recent version.

  Open uninstall a program in windows and in the left click on the feature to turn on or off windows. Clear the check box of the window Media Player, and then click ok. This will uninstall the drive, and then restart.

  After restarting the same steps, now, check the box for the same and perform a restart and if all goes well it should solve the problem.

  Note: Make sure that Windows is up-to-date.

  The letter 'J' means that the photo is part of a pair of "GROSS" and "JPEG", and the JPEG file has been selected as the original image file.  If the RAW file is selected as the original, you would see an 'R' in the corner.

  Try to pass the original JPEG on the original RAW.  Open the image in EDIT mode, if you can and then use the command "Image > use RAW as the Original. This command is only available in edit mode.

  Finally got my HP 8500 a printer work with airprint and my ios8 devices all work on airprint with the same printer.  Here's how I did it:

  1. turn off the router

  2. turn off the printer

  3. computer turn off the power after I reset the print settings, turn off all devices (ipad, iphone) ios8

  4. wait 60 seconds and turn on router

  5. then wait 60 seconds and printer and reconnect to the wireless network, even though it says it is already connected (redo the wireless configuration wizard and replace the current value)

  6. then wait 60 seconds and turn on computer and Add (+) printer in the preferences system as you normally would with wireless and it will find and connect automatically using airprint.

  7. turn on ipad, iphone and "forget the existing network" and reconnect with the network printer is lit in the wifi settings

  Everything works as before.  Looks like ios8 and yosemite you have to disconnect all routers and settings wireless, and reconnect them with your devices, printers, ios8 devices and macs
