  Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

  Acer definiterly only reinstall to factory settings, new condition.

  If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

  My acer laptop does not start correctly. It loads after windows bar loads and then it stops quickly. the pointer will appear on the screen and when it is left idle, screensaver maker runs. the same thing happens when I try to start in safe mode. What should I do? any help much appreciated.

  I try to put my fully functional level but slow Acer 5515 to use for video capture (use of astronomy)

  I bought a WD 320 GB Black HD that has been initialized, partitioned, formatted, & using the MBR & NTFS option.

  When you attempt to load Win XP laptop an error indicating that, if a new disc or disk drivers have been installed to remove and search for errors or viruses. The player is reported by tools like healthy WD drive and go the SMART controls on my desktop system. The drive is reported when the BIOS loading but does not seem to work after that. Is this a common problem? are there tricks to get the loaded operating system?

  Try these 2 things:

  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  If the above does not work, try to make a Bootable ERD to do a Startup Repair:

  As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

  As your grave in the category above, download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

  Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

  There is not a disk of resettlement.

  And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • What you have already tried to solve the problem
  you're not giving us enough information. When did it stop working? If it worked
  previously, I would recommend first trying to run Windows Media Player AND Windows
  Media Center, and then again. Control Panel, programs and features, tour
  Windows feature turn on or off. Uncheck the two programs, restart. Go back and turn them
  both on reboot. This solve your problem? Otherwise, you should try a system
  Restore to a point where everything worked normally, maybe early August? By
  wait, you have only made it more difficult to triage and solve your problem.

  Unfortunately I have damaged my X 34 and the Group of experts should probably be replaced - it isn't a warranty repair and I expect it to be expensive repairs, but because the alternative throw it away, I'm happy to pay - accidents happen so pay the money and get it fixed. It seems that ACER will not repair - they tell me that because the screen is larger than 22 "they do not replace the Panel because they have no parts available. It's very disappointing for such a new and expensive product.

  First of all, sorry to hear of your monitor... I don't know who has been a frustrating experience to say the least.

  I understand the desire to have it repaired and I can't speak directly to the service of African Union team, I know that in the United States, the service team is essentially in the same boat. The monitor is on sale for all about US $ 1250-1300 and the Panel itself is more than $ 1,000. Between the tools, labor and other factors, there is not much if any room to save more than just buying a new.

  I know this isn't the answer you're looking for right now, but it is not a case of Acer attempts to leave your high and dry, there is probably not a cost-effective solution, giving rise to a net lose for a part or another.

  Problem with the cord/charge plug unit... is very loose and since I bought it. It takes an extraordinary amount of time to load. Is it defective?

  According to the description of the connection of the power supply or you have a problem with the power outlet (perhaps folded ut of shape enough to cause free adjustment) or Charger (connection flashing in-house, exit misfeed or simply that bad). If I was in your position I would take back and get one without load problems. You can send it through Acer support and they will fix it for you, but back to the seller will be faster.

  Just bought this laptop, original thought it was a big improvement on my Aspire 3 year!   Last problem after doing a full scan with McAfee is the touch pad or remote control will move the cursor but will not open other than McAfee programs.   The Windows (bottom left) symbol does not illuminate when the cursor is over it and I am unable to use the windows key + C to get the bar of charms.

  For the background, I couldn't install windows updates since I got this computer, two days, so do a scan to look for the reasons.

  Thanks for your suggestion Acer-Justin.   Sorted by switching off / reset the keyboard.   Problem sorted update using Microsoft who has found a problem with the update system and then installed Windows 10 - everything looks ok at the moment.
