  • CAVEAT! Hoax page Web and messages "found iPhone."

I tried to find a way to notify Apple, but they seem to do their "support" pages a maze of options. In this regard, let me warn customers about a text message hoax I just receive notifying me that my 'lost' iPhone was recovered in London. • 'Apple ID is locked' authentic email or hoax?

I received an email claiming to be from Apple asking me to click on a link to verify my email address. After seeing the messages in discussion referring to the previous hoaxes I'm now paranoid about this type of email, true however it may appear ([email protected] address, etc.). Please notify. Copy of the email below:

    Dear customer,

We just need to verify that this address belongs to you.

Just click on the link below and sign in with your Apple ID and password.

    Check now > > >

Ask yourself why you got this email?

It is sent when someone adds or modifies a contact for an Apple ID account email address

If you don't do this, don't worry. Your email address cannot be used as a contact address for a

    Apple ID without your control.

It's a scam. If you want to check your ID Apple go directly to http://appleid.apple.com . If your ID has been blocked for security reasons that you would not get an email on this subject, you would like to know when you tried to connect and will then need to contact Support. There are different variations of this type of email (and scams "you have a virus"): never to clock on a link or a telephone number in email or pop-ups in this type of follow-up. And although Apple have apple.co.uk they always send emails of apple.com - it's very easy to simulate the address 'From' on an email.

    2. second question: I received the message by a friend of emails confidence that a new virus is released which is sent to the user from Aol, hotmail and g-mail titled "now that you got it" by a hacker, that opening his deletions and destroyed all your files, microsoft is aware of this?  This can be confirmed?

    Hello

You can't stop someone didn't send an email you no more than you can stop someone who knows your address sends you a letter. This is not what 'blocking' is on about. Blocking in this sense is the same as you just throw junk mail in the tray without the opening based on what you see on the envelope.

In response to your second question, this looks like one of the many hoax/chain emails I've seen. I suggest "Googling" a part of the text correct to confirm my suspicions, place your exact quotes text so that google is looking for an exact match.

Please mark this as useful or response if applicable.

  • How hoax calls centres to access my phone from my computer number, even though I have security on my system?

I had problems with my computer and found that my system was attacked.  However my Norton security blocked.  I logged the Microsoft Support page to perform various diagnostic tools to see if there was a problem with my software.  The next minute, I received a phone call from a hoax call center claiming they were Microsoft, which I knew was not the case.  What is interesting is that the appellant pretends to be a... automated phone call which it wasn't when I talked back.  Especially when I asked "are you an automated service?  I then realized actually, I was talking to a person.  In the background, I could hear other people who speak with a tone of voice "computing."  Crook change their methods of attack to access personal data?  Everyone should be aware of the tact, that these people are adopting?
