• moving an object vertically using a horizontal slider

  So, I was struggling with this for hours.  I have a button, a slider (yellow triangle) that moves horizontally within a range.  At the top of the slide is a vertical meter which should move up/down based on the horizontal movement of the cursor, i.e. If the cursor moves to the left, the counter should be; If the cursor moves to the right, the meter should fall.  Both objects start at the center of their axis, as shown in the provided image.

  

  This is what I have so far for the hidden counter display correctly and restrict the cursor to the range of the horizontal axis.  I can't figure out the rest to the counter to move accordingly.  Anyone out there for whom it is really easy, please help me through this; talk me through your logic about how to make this work.  Thank you!

  A site that I use on a regular basis has recently been renovated, and the new page is wider than my widescreen. There is no horizontal cursor to activate the overall analysis.   As noted above, the cursor (& corresponding labels) aren't on the same 'line horizontal/position' as the mx Text (e.g. "Track time interval" but a little higher?

  I tried to put alignmentbaseline to all possible values but whithout success.

  Maybe put the two HGroup form and form elements will have a height and can use verticalAlign set to medium or low, depending on what works.

• Controls horizontal volumen in macOs Sierra

  With the new volume control available under macOs Sierra (horizontal slider) now you can't click and drag the volume control that I used to do! Was perhaps than me, but I used this technique (click and drag) a lot of time for speed and simplicity.

  If it's a matter of UI design, I think it's pretty easy to keep the cursor in the vertical volume with a list of outputs available on the right side like this:

• Satellite C660 - browser slider slide down of internet pages

  Hi people,

  I have a problem with a Toshiba Satellite C660 I on the temporary loan out of warranty.

  Win 7 Home 64 bit. SP1. 4 MB of ram.
  Recently, the original HARD drive failed and it was replaced with a Samsung HP - M 160MBB with a new Win 7 full reload from scratch.

  The old HDD has been completely destroyed and there was no available recovery disk.

  The problem is that the slider will not slide down of internet pages - sound of intermittent problems.

  I go on the internet and open any long page (for example, google news, a newspaper or even the site of Microsoft Troubleshooting).

  When I want to read further down the page I would usually put the trackpad pointer or the mouse pointer over the vertical slider on the right left click and hold and drag the slider to the bottom of the page.

  * Sometimes, that works well, but more often the picture vibrates and the cursor jitters and refuses to leave his post or pops up after a short trip down *, so that you can not read any further down than the original bottom of the screen.

  Sometimes it clears itself.
  Sometimes he might work ok for a while but then returned to this problem, it is not really usable as it is.

  It doesn't seem to be any obvious reason or because of this behavior, and sometimes I use the trackpad or usb mouse.

  I swapped mouse without success.
  The Device Manager said that all affected devices are working OK.

  I tried the MS recommended routine clean boot without success, I suspect mainly because wireless internet becomes invalid if the fault would become unclear.

  Any ideas please?

  I can say s material certainly NO problem.
  You take on internet browsers so I guess that the same issue does not happen using Word or other applications where the bar scroll right is available.

  Maybe the problem is caused by some add-ons installed for internet browsers
  Who knows what applications have been installed on the systems

  Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, the forums are currently read-only, so had the chance to ask the Q it. I tried the the form "contact us" a few days ago, no answer yet.

  But fortunately, I was able to fall on the answer by myself. Will write the answer here, for the benefit of third parties who need to understand this point and to throw off by all the dishes google obfuscation upward:

  • Come on in "settings > developer Options"
  • Notice in the upper right of the screen there is a switch small horizontal slider
    (it is in the 'Settings' title aligned to the right bar)
  • The slider is currently set to the left, then drag it to the correct position
  • A popup appears saying:

    "Authorize the parameters of development?
    These settings are only for development purposes. They can cause your device and applications on it to break or misbehave.

  • Click on 'OK'.
  • You can then enable options such as "USB debugging" in this menu

  I'm a happy chappy now

  I found that the DPI setting custom 130% a happy compromise and compensate with Zoom to 150%
