House Win7 Ultimate upgrade

I just bought a new laptop which has Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit installed on it.  I already bought a Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade (designed for Windows Vista).  Can I switch from the Windows 7 Home Premium on my new computer laptop to ultimate using the 64-bit version of my Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade?

If the license for Windows 7 Ultimate, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade to Windows 7 Edition Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Ultimate edition at the request, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate files the stored settings and programs.

Go to your laptop manufacturer's website and check if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

  • Windows Anytime Upgrade is no longer available - upgrade to Win7 Ultimate

I want to switch to Win7 Ultimate Win7 professional so I can use BitLocker and be able to share a drive locked with my computers Win8.1.  Unfortunately, the normal method of the upgrade through Windows Anytime Upgrade is no longer available.  There is a link to Windows online, but that only allows upgrade to Win8.  I already Win8 on another computer, but this OS is not appropriate for this computer.  Is this yet another example of Microsoft without end of quest for boring and confusing users?  I heard something about an upgrade key which must be purchased, but my search for the Microsoft Web site for such a key failed.  Anyone know how I can switch to Win7 Ultimate?  Thank you.

    Success!

I went online with the upgraded level Express and properly classified and put a laptop Windows 7 Professional to Windows 7 Ultimate.

  • upgrade to win7 ultimate (win7 home pro) I have to disable MSE?

Upgrade to win7 ultimate MSDN Version (OEM win7 home pro) I have to disable MSE?

I expected to get a Yes or no answer (e.g. YES, they are all three from MicroSoft product, that's why they work perfectly without disable MicroSoft Security Essentials; or NOT, they are all three EM produsts then, of course, you must disable MSE!)

It shouldn't be a problem when you upgrade.

In case you are facing any problem after upgrade, uninstall MSE and restart your PC and download and reinstall. However in the case of normal use, it shouldn't be a problem.

  • Windows 7 Ultimate upgrade will allow an upgrade from Vista Home Premium x 64 to Windows 7 Ultimate x 64?

I bought a HP laptop with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium x 64 in April 08.  If I buy a Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade, SKU: GLC-00184, I'll be able to upgrade to windows 7 Home Premium x 64 or Windows 7 Ultimate x 64?

The http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/help/upgrading-from-windows-vista-to-windows-7?T1=tab02 table seems to indicate that would be the case.  On the other hand, it does not seem logical that we could move from Vista Ultimate or vVsta HP to Win7 Ultimate for the same price.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Yes, you can make a place in Windows Vista Edition upgrade Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate.

When important changes to your computer, for example an upgrade, it is always recommended that you back up your system before installing a new version of Windows. In your case, you can upgrade to Windows 7 depending on the edition and the architecture of Windows Vista, you have installed. If you are running a 32-bit version of Vista and upgrade to a 64-bit (Windows 7 edition) version, you'll have a pure make install, it is the opposite case.

If you are using Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium consumer editions, you can only upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate. In addition, you can make downgrades, which means, if you are running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition now, you cannot downgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. You perform logical upgrades:

Windows Vista Home Basic > Windows 7 Home Basic, Premium or Ultimate

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium > Windows 7 Home Premium or Ultimate

Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or ultimate edition

Windows Vista Business > Windows 7 Enterprise

Windows Vista Ultimate > Windows 7 Ultimate.

Code GFC symbolizes the product depending on the location in most cases and in some cases, this has to do with the versions.

The GFC-00019 is a commercial container 32 and 64-bit disk operating system version. TheGFC-00564 is a 32 bit OEM version. A commercial version can be installed on any computer. But always alone at the same time. But if you install on a computer (and then he got damaged without repair possible) and then I bought another you can install it on the new computer.

An OEM copy can only be installed on computers. If this computer got far beyond repair that you can not use it again as with the retail version. You can install the OEM as many times as you like on the original computer.

  • Updated by Satellite P750 win7 Win7 ultimate home

I just bought a Satellite P750 (I think 2R) and made the auto install and win 7 Home 64-bit edition has been installed. I use the laptop in a need to join their domain and working network environment. I bought windows 7 ultimate upgrade (64-bit) and I'd like to run it. Will it have upgraded drivers after installation is finished? If yes I would like to have only the downloaded and ready to go.

    > Will it have upgraded drivers after installation is finished?

If you just want to install the Windows 7 home Ultimate version, then you will not need to install the drivers and other software, once again because this upgrade only formats the HARD drive and installs a new copy of windows 7.
You upgrades the Win 7, which means that the data will always be available.

But if you do a clean install of Win 7 ultimate, then you will need to install the drivers and other things (tools and additional software)

  • Satellite M100 - 165 PSMA1E - XP Pro updated to Win7 Ultimate problem

When installing Win7 Ultimate (Eng) with current XP Pro en shows system error (something like could not find a certain file) and the installation will stop.

At the beginning of the installation, I delete all partitions and create new ones.

At the same time Win7 creates, it's own partition with the size of 100 MB.

Using the same disk I installed Win7 on Compaq Presario CQ60 no problem. Also instead of XP Pro.

    What could be a problem?
I have to download and use a special software from Toshiba?

Currently I just get XP Pro using from an external drive USB Acronis Universal Restore.

I'd really appreciate for your help.

    Stand by?
First I would like to know which version are you trying to install?
I checked the Toshiba download page and saw that this old notebook is supported for Win7 32 bit only so I hope you are using the 32-bit version.

Are you using the original installation disc for Microsoft?
Usually clean Win7 installation should work without problems, especially if you make clean OS install. I ve tested on several old notebooks and didn't note any problem.

Set the BIOS to the default settings and try again.

  • Satellite A300 (PSAG8E) - hardware problems after I installed win7 ultimate

    Hello and good day,

I installed win7 ultimate a few days ago, windows was able to recognize most of my material accepts my build of microphone and camera and another component, I'm not sure what it is (Windows Update automatically downloaded the driver of sound and graphics for me).

My questions are - where you can find the remaining drivers and where can I get the preinstalled Toshiba tools and software? (The site pilot in the support page Toshiba does not include drivers and software)

    Thank you very much
    King Ben Simon

    Hello

I have the Satellite A300 (PSAG8E) too and installed Win7 Home premium and everything works perfectly.

Initially, I must say that I do not know where you are looking for the drivers and tools of Toshiba and that all things because utilities are downloadable on support Toshiba & download page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com

It is logical that MIC will not work if you have not installed the appropriate driver. Installing drivers only and not using Microsoft update. What you need are the real and tested and not some free drivers of the internet.

Go to the Toshiba download page and install all the stuff following this order of installations:
    -Win7
    -chipset driver
    -Storage Manager
    -display driver
    -driver sound
    -modem driver
    -utility supervisor
    -infrared
    -patches
    -configfree
    -VAP
    Hardware - toshiba
    Control - HDMI
    -WLAN driver

Everything works well but lacks some drivers

    Added Vista tips:
Toshiba - help - working properly
    -Card reader - installed correctly
-Webcam driver for A500 - tested with Skype - works correctly.
    Driver - Synaptics

  • Win7 Ultimate 32 bit drivers for VPCCW21FX

    Hello
    I have a VAIO VPCCW21FX.
Could you please help me find Win7 ultimate 32 Bit drivers for this?
    TNX

The VPCCW21FX is only supported by Sony for Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (this is the original operating system) and XP. However you may find that much of the software/drivers on the support site can work properly on your system (try the XP version if version 7 does not work because it will be 32-bit). All other drivers are on different sites of the manufacturer (Nvidia, Marvell), but yet again, they will not be supported by Sony.
