  • Not have blackBerry smartphones to connect to BIS on my new Bold 9650

    Hello

I have problems activating BIS on my bold 9650.

    Info on the device:

    Carrier: Vodafone India

    Model: BB Bold 9650 OS5.0.0.975

I bought the power off of best sellers on ebay (a 99.7% feedback and has sold about 50 of the same features so far). It's only a Verizon unlocked BB Bold 9650.

I recorded on my carrier unit. Contacted the carrier several times and they say that my BIS has been activated. But it says "edge" in the small and BIS status as not connected.

    Things I've tried so far:

    (1) tried my SIM on a friend BB and BIS very well

    (2) tried several times battery pull... no use

    (3) recorded from the host routing table... said "The registration message sent" but no response

    (4) my HRT and Service books are empty

    (5) have parameters of GSM/UMTS network, automatic, 2 G

    (6) data services are turned on

    (7) firewall disabled and no IT strategy

    (8) wiping device I tried twice

    (9) tried to create a new account on my Service proider BIS registration site... He says that my device is not registered with the service provider

Some1 can help me solve this problem? I am badly in need of service BIS :-(

    Thanks in advance

Hey this problem is only with Vodafone... some work of BB to vodafone and some do not work... I tried everything until the guy from the page in vodafone... highest level they cannot do anything... I tried for over 2 months... and the care of close to 200 calls to cust... its useless

    It is not device problem...

Changes of Airtel BIS and it works in a minute...

I like Vodafone.  but I prefer the BB... So I chose to change to airtel

  • How blackBerry Smartphones are registered with RIM bugs?

I've seen several messages reminding people that it is a place of community support.

Fine - then, how a long time BlackBerry user in fact save bug with RIM?

If this forum is monitored and RIM take notes comments here?

My main bug is - as I already posted NO supported applications.

Said is unable to contact the update server... Sorry - but the turf - I want to manage my local applications - you assume I want to upgrade the operating system.

    Then...

How to raise a bug and ask questions

    (1) is it because I'm in the United Kingdom?

    (2) is it because my BB is on O2 to the United Kingdom

    (3) is it because I use a 8900?

    (4) is it because I'm connected wireless to the Internet?

It's the standard validation issues that I would task any Quality Assurance team with answering and use in investigating the issue.

How can so - someone - I raise a bug with RIM?

Because - to be honest - BusySync gave the facilities that I currently have with the DTM for Mac - sync contacts, better synchronization of calendar that I have seen with this DTM (why don't I still choose the mail on the BB calendar - I can choose that on the Mac!)

I will try to update my OS - O2 do not seem to make the updates their forwarding sites for RIM and air...

So - unless I'm using Windows (no thanks!) - I'm totally scuppered re: update of the OS...

It's hard to be a citizen of class 3rd in this world of the 21st century!

Thank you very much. I'll see if I can find more information on this... You have my email, so feel free to bug me anytime if you have any other problems.

But for now, a weird to manage your applications is to disconnect from the Internet, so that BlackBerry Desktop Manager cannot detect the update for your 8900.

  • How blackBerry smartphones to synchronize with outlook business contact mgr

have the 9530 model was buying and using the service from verizon.   synchs well with Outlook 2007 contacts.   However, I added Bishop contact Business Outlook because it fits my needs better.    But I can't figure out how to get the 9530 to synchronize with BCM instead.  I want the 'soft contacts on the blackberry to display account information, as well as the list of individual contacts who work there.   It's the way it is displayed in Outlook BCM.    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

From my understanding, Desktop Manager will be synchronized to Outlook, not BCM.

  • Not have blackBerry smartphones to connect to internet

I realized that my phone is unable to connect to the internet, even if I am able to send and receive emails from my phone and my wifi connection is fine. I tried to take the battery, return service directories to my phone and I also went to the registry option in the host routing table but does not change every time that I try to use the Web browser. It loads for a while and then the message "unable to connect to the internet, try again later appears. Is there anything else I should do? Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

From your post, I can't tell if you do them in the order required... or know if every successful step as they should before moving on to the next step. So, with a strong carrier signal AND your WiFi radio OFF, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support... After all, it's their network with which your BB is to have trouble communicating.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones 'there is a problem with Blackberry App World. Please try again. »

Whenever I try to download whatever app world or click on my world, he always says 'there is a problem with the Blackberry App World. Please try again. "I can't download apps because of this, and I have consulted with my carrier in this respect. They said I should be able to access the universe of the app by wifi since I'm subscribed to a data plan Blackberry (BBM). They don't know what to do with my problem anymore. Everything else works except the app world. Help, please. BTW, I'm trying to access the app through a mobile internet captive universe. That this has something to do with it?

    Hi trishthestranger

Please uninstall AppWorld options > device > application management.

Scroll down to BlackBerry AppWorld > delete.

or KB10040 : how to view or delete the application installed on a blackberry smartphone

Perform a restart on the BlackBerry this way: with the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, remove the battery for a min. and then reinsert the battery of waiting until it reboot.

Now, since your browser BB go to thewww.blackberry.com/appworld and install again.

After installation go to app world and see if you are able to download on a PC, you can also try to scan the barcode of this application, it will request a download link on your device. Please try it and let us know. But like I said try to download Over the Air.

    • KB10040 How to view or delete applications on a BlackBerry smartphone

In my case, I can't so BBM to complete all steps of the installation (in my case, it has to do with the fact that I don't have any active data plan from my mobile provider... This is a sine qua non for BBM, so I do not think that it actually works on my device). But in your case, withdrawal (per above) and try again may be cautious.

He request and update the application identity BB as well? If that failed, then you have to force that.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones - for the first time with a Blackberry help!

BlackBerry Desktop Software is the new name for BlackBerry Desktop Manager. The reason why the photos to the different internet search is because they show the old version (Desktop Manager) and you use the new version (Desktop Software).
If you encounter problems connecting to BlackBerry services, it is probably because you don't have a good data plan BlackBerry (BIS) on your account. A generic will work with all phones, but not with your BlackBerry. If you have BIS on your account, then your phone works on different frequencies used by your carrier.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones is this a problem with my Bold 9700 flash memory?

A few annoying problems recently with my Bold 9700.

First, my Blackberry has suddenly started to massively delete recent appointments in my calendar, which will attempt to remove them from my Outlook calendar when I synchronize the device to my laptop.  This has not happened before, and I checked to make sure that the schedule is set to never delete nominations, and it is set correctly.

Second, my Blackberry App World application (both on the device and online) does not display one of my installed applications, except one, but they are all still on the device and working properly.  I'm 18 apps installed from BB App World, beyond the pre-installed applications on the device, which are less than 10 MB in total size.

The reason I think that the problem could be linked to the internal flash memory is that whenever I want to install an application, I usually get a message indicating there is enough memory and I have to uninstall some other applications to free up space.  When I checked my memory earlier, he said that had less than 1 MB.  I restarted the machine and now it tells me there is 12.2 MB of available space, which always seems incredibly low for me since I installed only about 10 MB of my own applications.  So, I delete the file all attachments of the device and do not keep e-mail on the device beyond 30 days, and all media is stored on flash cards, not in the device memory.

The most important question I have to solve is how to prevent the device to delete data from calendar (it keeps recurring appointments, but has been deleted and everything before about two weeks ago).

    Hello

It's an automatic protection mechanism with BBs. During the AppMemory (not the device, no media memory card memory) get low, the BB must start deleting things to preserve its ability to operate. Unfortunately, he really can't go after data... it can't really go after installed applications. Here are some tips to use:

    • KB02843 What is the function of low memory manager on the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB14320 How to maximize space and power battery life on the BlackBerry smartphone
      • KB14213 Call logs, SMS text and email messages are deleted from the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB10183 E-mail messages are removed from the BlackBerry device until the messages expire

In addition, it is always important to correctly close applications when you are finished with them. Using the back or on the red button won't do that - those leave the app to decide what to do... and some let themselves memory-resident, consumes resources on your BB, slowing down the overall performance. On the contrary, to close an application, tap on and select 'Close' or 'Quit'... which force the application to be closed, freeing resources for your new use it consumed. Some applications will always be running (in general - BBMessenger, browser, homescreen, phone and Messages)... but, you should always close them properly - especially the browser... If we leave on a web page, it will not consume only additional resources, but the power of the battery as well.

Now, AppMemory is not just for the apps... the real BB operating system is here as well. Depending on the options you have included, which might be things bloating as well.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones why MAC different BT with MAC?

Hi, I was wondering my "BOLD" has the same IMEI and PIN code as that printed on the box, but the MAC does not match the MAC(which also provide on the box right side) BT. What is the difference between BT MAC and MAC? or how to sound different with my "BOLD", if they are the same?

    Thank you!!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I think BT (Bluetooth) MAC and the MAC (WIFI) to make the difference. The BlackBerry smartphone is not a

  • How blackBerry Smartphones wipe a backup and security for Blackberry Curve.

Hi all, first time poster, second spectator of time... If that makes sense!

New jobs and support of BlackBerry devices for the first time (mainly because I have one, ergo;) I'm an expert!). No problem it's always good to learn new things...

Well, that's my problem - I have a user who cannot respond to emails - I have read some posts that were all on the money as to why and how to solve them. My problem is I have to perform a back up and wipe security, but do not know how and was hoping someone could guide my way. What is a professional user I won't spoil and lose\delete his email and addresses, etc.

It is important that we use Notes and Domino (Boo!) instead of Outlook and Exchange? And it is an easy process?
