  Shut down the laptop by holding down the key SHIFT left click Shutdown to temporarily prevent a hybrid boot.

  Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to see if it will launch the Start Menu.  If this is the case, select f10 to open the bios menu.

  Depends on the brand and model of your system. When the initial screen, you should see similar instructions to "Press F1 to enter setup". F1 is just one example. It might be F2 or DEL or any other key. You disable and then boot from a usb device. The problem should be solved.

  There is no available tools to save it... and I doubt that they flashed the BIOS of your laptop with the bad because the software will not Flash the BIOS, if it does not.  As well, it probably doesn't work very well if it was the wrong version.  HP site is sometimes behind the posting of updates... service centers probably have the latest versions.

  Hello! I'm really looking forward to overclock my RAM speeds up and to do this, I have to enter the BIOS. I searched some tutorials but without success. I have a PC HP Pavilion b034-23 (all-in-One) and here are my specs PC (according to CPU - Z):

  • AMD A6 - 5400K APU (overclocked to 4.3 GHz)
  • Pegatron Corp. 2AEE motherboard (Chipset: AMD K15 BMI)
  • Slot #1 RAM: DDR3 2 GB PC3 - 12800 (800 MHz)
  • Slot #2 of RAM: 4 GB DDR3 PC3-12800 (800 MHz)

  I want to overclock my RAM to 1 000 + MHz, but I tried to get into the BIOS by:

  Start-> settings-> update & Security-> restore-> Advanced Start (restart now)-> troubleshooting-> Advanced options-> settings firmware UEFI-> restart-> Computer Configuration->?

  I don't know where to go from here, I have 5 tabs, file, storage, security, power and advanced. I checked under Advanced and there Options market, the BIOS, Bus Options and Device Options. I'm stuck and I don't really know if this even IS BIOS. Here are the photos of all the tabs and where I am:

  I understand that you have a problem with the entrance to the BIOS.  I see that you do not want you overclock the memory Modules.

  The photos you provided, quite show you are in the BIOS.  It is much safer and easier to replace the memory Modules with a larger memory, then overclocking them.  However, you can view the resource here for more information about memory overclocking:

  Overclock your CPU, GPU and RAM (Not a HP website supported).

  It could very well be that there not your optical drive.  If you do not have a choice of boot to the optical drive then the bios is probably not recognize the optical equipment.

  Open the PC and make sure that the connections (data and power) are in place in the optical drive.

  Then try to clear the CMOS memory.

  Start and press F9 to get a selection of the boot device.  If you do not see the optical drive, then it is probably defective. There is a low probability that the drive is not powered.
