HDMI port no longer works on Mac Mini

Hello

I have a Mac Mini and I use usually 2 screens Dell. Everything worked fine until a couple of days, now the screen plugged into the HDMI port is no longer recognized. I changed monitors around and that did not help. Only the screen plugged on the stroke of lightning to the HDMI adapter works. I tried to use views to detect, but it still does not detect it. I unplugged and re plugged both monitors and restarted my computer. I don't know what else to do or if my Mac Mini is now a lost cause!

Help, please!

-Try resetting the SMC

MacIntel: Reset of the controller (SMC) system management

Then, connect a monitor to the HDMI port and see if the screen works when booting with the down Option. You should see drives bootable on the screen. This does not imply the OSX so if it works not that indicates a hardware problem

If it works try to start normally with only this screen connected to HDMI. If this does not work then:

Try resetting the NVRAM EXTRA memory

Subject of memory NVRAM and PRAM

-Try to start safe mode

OS x: what is Safe Boot, Safe Mode?

-Start to recovery and repair the startup disk

OS X: on OS X Recovery - Apple Support

-If it is repairable reinstall the OSX

How to reinstall OS X on your Mac - Apple Support

-If you do not have a backup using disk utility to restore the internal drive to an external drive, so that you can try to recover the data.

Format the boot disk and then do a fresh install of Mac OS x

    For the last few days I used the HDMI port to stream video and audio to two different TVs LG and Samsung monitor without problems. Directly into TVs or with an AV processor and even if sound was not always easy, I could run BB iPlayer and Netflixs without any problem.

    Then, from today I don't get the laptop to 'see' the fact that I inserted the HDMI in the laptop. Tried several cables and confirmed that the HDMI inputs on all these devices was still working.

    revised and updated

    Given that you upgraded to Windows 10

    You may have accepted a Windows 10 update the graphics driver, who stopped the discreet graphics card to function properly. Never install the Intel graphics driver separately on a switchable graphics capable laptop computer. Only the NVIDIA graphics driver HP sofpaq will allow him to work as expected. It's a proprietary driver that is not included in the driver store of the operating system and is not on Microsoft's servers.

    The best solution to solve this problem would be to use the system restore window to restore the operating system to the State prior to the change was made. You lose no and restore photos, or other personal data using the system. It is completely reversible.

  • Ethernet port no longer works

    Hello

    I have an iMac (21.5 inch, mid 2011) running OSX 10.11.3 and today my ethernet port no longer works.

    Things I've tried:

    • Put the cable on another computer. The cable works fine.
    • Several reboots of the imac.
    • Go to safemode (SHIFT key at startup), still does not see the ethernet port.
    • Past to recovery (command + R to start) mode, the ethernet port is functioning normally. (Now I'm confused)

    Thus, it works in recovery, but not in normal mode or safe mode.

    Thanks in advance for any advice.

    That is right. The requires iTunes 12.3.3 and in order to get it, you will need to update OS X to El Capitan. That's how Apple has created for better or worse, I'm sorry.

    Hello

    If possible, try to install the operating system with recovery media. On this way, you will have to factory settings. It's the best test you can do. If the problem persists, it may be a malfunction of the equipment. Sorry but on this path is not easy to tell what the problem may be.

  • TextInputProperties.onSubmitted no longer works on Mac OS 10.2

    I came across a strange problem like code in one of my apps stopped working on Mac OS 10.2 but works without problem on OS 10.0 and 10.1. I'm just trying to catch when the user presses ENTER in a TextField:

        TextField {
            id: myTextField
            horizontalAlignment: HorizontalAlignment.Left
            verticalAlignment: VerticalAlignment.Center
            input {
                submitKey: SubmitKey.Default

                onSubmitted: {
                    //code here....
                }

                flags: TextInputFlag.AutoCapitalization
            }
        }

    For some strange reason, this piece of code no longer works on Mac OS 10.2 (Z30) and events onSubmitted never gets fired. Anyone has an idea why this might happen?

    Interestingly, changing to

    submitKey: SubmitKey.DONE

    did onSumbitted get fired again. Ideally, I want to keep the default value of virtual keyboard look if possible and do not overwrite it with "DONE" just to make things work.

    Hi bbdevguy,

    From 10.2, onSubmitted signal fires events only when the button send text is set to 'Submit' or obviously "done." Prior to version 10.2, the signal "onSubmitted events" would have also fired on an ordinary 'Enter' (default), but it's supposed to do more fires on default, i.e. is not a bug.

    To this, to the property line of submitKey to SubmitKey.Submit of luck

    submitKey: SubmitKey.Submit

  • HDMI port does not work

    Original title: HDMI port stopped working after the update.

    This morning my laptop did an automatic restart to install updates and now my hdmi port does not work. I tried to restore the system to a previous point, but that has not helped. I have a HP Pavilion dv6.

    I worked with a team of online crash analysis and they had update me of the BIOS. That fixed the problem and the HDMI port is now working again. For those of you who have the same problem, go to http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48501-49000/sp48953.exe .

    Update your BIOS can help you too.

  • HDMI port does not work after you refresh the computer.

    Updated my computer and now my HDMI port does not work. I can not connect my labtop to TV.

    Are you sure that the additional monitor is turned on.  Try holding down the and then press P until it is selected to extend the screens.

    If this does not work, go to your computer manufacturer's website and download and install the latest version of your graphics drivers.

    I'm here for the first time. A little more last year, I bought a Mac mini end of 2014 with Core i5 clocked at 2.6 GHz, 8 GB RAM and 5400 RPM HARD drive. I replaced the HDD for an SSD, Samsung EVO 850 250 GB, to be correct. I also have an iPhone 6 Plus and does not AirDrop between my devices. They discover each other. Update both OS X and iOS on a regular basis, so that's not the problem. Check on this issue and finding a solution a have met this Airdrop is not my Mac mini 2012 and I have a few questions:

    I checked that TRIM Enabler Coulon, but later on my Mac I searched this Samsung EVO can't GARNISH. What it means? Download and install TRIM Enabler would be unnecessary, because the problem isn't here? Everything is fine with the Bluetooth, WiFi, my 6s more connects to the other MacBook Pro Retina early 2015, as the new MacBook 12 "iPads and iPhones, too. Please help me, thank you in advance.

    10.10.4 and later Apple does not allow that you caraa select TRIM and third part SSD. See:
