    This is why last week, I took the plunge and decided to reinstall Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using my UPGRADE disc (the disc is not FULL version)

    I selected CUSTOM

    I saw, I had two partitions:

    Disk 0 Partition 1: Win_RE

    Disk 0 Partition 2: CDrive (c :))

    I couldn't find an option to delete my partitions and perform a new installation.

    I ran this and finished installing fine but did not format my drive and it change named my windows to windows.old. Things seem to be ok on my PC, now that I've done this, and I don't take BSoD right now.

    However, I was told that I should be able to achieve a COMPLETE clean install delete partitions to force the OS to reformat and recreate the C: partition.

    The menu:

    Discount

    Load the driver (I have no idea what is this option)

    To make changes to partitions, restart Windows from the installation disc

    I could not click on an option to delete/reformat my partitions and thus abandoned the process.

    I then let the disc (forgive my ignorance) and restarted the PC. I dropped in the BIOS and set to boot from the DVD drive.

    This did not do anything to bring up the WINDOWS SETUP option. It would simply start Windows after that, I suspect, he couldn't find the exe file to start.

    Thus, while everything seems to work fine, I'm frustrated that I can't run a clean full install like what I'm doing doesn't work.

    If someone is able to give me advice on how I can get the installation routine to show this option which would be more useful.

    Accept the license agreement

    Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

    Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

    Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

    When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

    Scroll down to the Windows Activation

    Click the link x days before activation.

    Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

    Select the Activation of the phone

    Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

    Click Next, call the number listed

    Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

    Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

    However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

    What is the exact model of your computer number?  Is there a partition recovery or service?  Or you have your restore Dell CD?  Also make sure you have your product key, probably don't need to a Dell SLP (System Locked Pre-installation) but better be sure than sorry.  If you have the recovery CD to start the computer with the CD and follow the instructions on the screen.  If you have a food/service partition then press, mentioned for restoration when the computer starts.

    Reformatting a hard drive should be considered a last resort to solve a problem with a computer system. The hard drive can be reformatted and reinstalled the operating system, using the system PC Suite hard disk recovery. Reformatting the hard drive will overwrite all data on the disk.     I'm sorry while shouting did not mean too.  Well I use to be able to watch videos and burn and watch TV on internet, now it used to me let burn, and it won't let me watch my DVDs on the pc and internet tv stops constantly.  I had a problem about six months ago, and the computor guy deleted all my files that he said so he could install a new thank you windows

    I know you didn't want to scream... Not to be too critical, but it really looks like you need a new 'computer' man as it is inexcusable to erase data files when you install a new operating system, especially if it does not create a backup disk or files.   Having to reinstall programs is normal, but the data must never be lost.
     
    You apparently have different issues that might be related to malicious software and drivers a bad or hardware problems for your computer.  I recommend that you take a small reputation of the computer "mom & pop" type computer store to have your repairs.  Big box stores, such as Staples, Best Buy, etc. are NOT reputable in computer repair.  Take installation discs you have for the computer, and a good description of what is happening.

    The PC comes with Windows 7 the plant?  If so there should be a COA sticker on the outside, or under the battery with a product key used to activate.  Also on the label is printed the licensed version.  Now look at control panel > system to confirm page which is the version that has been installed.  If so, scroll down to the activation link to "Change product key" and insert the key to the sticker.

    It is easy to mistake the 25 digit key characters.  What I do is take a picture of the phone and huge blow up, so check each character before submitting the key.

    If Windows 10 had activated, you can also get a facility much better to do a Clean install Windows 10 improvement will be paid to questions of lower upgrade installation, which should reactivate with the permanent right granted once did you the upgrade.

    You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

    Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

    Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.
