How can I convert a & quot; Chain & quot; for a & quot; variable & quot; the format?

Hi, I can't understand this at all. Is there a way to convert a value that is a string to be recognized in coldfusion as a variable?

Here is a simple example of what I want to do. My code is below. I want to output the variable ' #temp # ' match the value of the variable #myvar1 # which would be "var_value. But this code gives me "myvar1" as my output for "#temp # Thank you
