  What you can do is to go on the media and the area of drivers from the Hp site by following the link http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

  -Just type in the Version of the Photosmart you have and who follow a Version of MAC OS that you use

  -you want to do from the computer that you are wanting to install the printer on.

  Just download the driver and install and that should help you to get this printer set up on this computer as if it was the drive itself

  This problem occurs because Windows Vista does not support the installation of kernel-mode printer drivers. Windows Vista only supports installing user mode printer drivers.

  To work around this problem, try to get and install a printer driver as a user on the Windows NT 4.0 computer. If you can not get the particular user mode printer driver, try to get a driver printer in user mode compatible with the kernel mode printer driver which is hosted on the Windows NT 4.0 computer. To get a printer driver updated for the print device, contact the manufacturer of the printer.

  Dell is not a Windows 7 driver for this printer.  The closest thing they have is a driver for Vista 32 bit.  So your options are to (1) Download 32-bit Vista driver and try to install in compatibility mode, (2) use XP Mode if you have the professional or Enterprise version of Windows 7 Ultimate, (3) buy another printer.

  I do it all the time.  The devices folder and printer stacks multiple instances on the same device on top of the first unit (since it's the same device).  If you have Pro or Ultimate, you can use the UI created by the spooler, printmanagement.msc team, to manage your local printers.  The former team of spooler printers folder is also around, but it's really hidden.

  I assume that you have a wireless printer. If so, the software is different from each manufacturer, but it is similar to this.
