HOW CAN I KNOW IF I HAD WINDOWS 7 PRO. (32-BIT OR 64-BIT.) ???

MY COMPUTER CRASHED, BAD. HE IS 8 YEARS OLD!   IT HAD WINDOWS 7 HOME, THEN I UPGRADED (WINDOWS

PROFESSIONAL 7) TWO YEARS AGO, I THINK IT WAS 64 BIT, NO WAY OF KNOWING? PRO OF THE DOSE. KEY # SAY SOMETHING?

I'LL CLEAN HARD DRIVE AND INSTALL NEW - OLD WINDOWS IS NEED TO KNOW, WAS IT 64 OR 32?

THANKS, 53 TAXI DRIVER

If you have access to the old computer, you can tell.  If you have a folder named Program files (x 86) yours is 64-bit.  If this isn't the case, 32.

If you do not have access to the old operating system you can just install 32-bit (except if you had 4 gigabytes of ram or more) for the sake of compatibility

How can I determine if I am running XP Pro 32-bit or 64-bit?

In general, with Windows XP, if you have to ask what architecture you are running: you are running Windows XP 32-bit.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

    1. Click Start.
    2. Do right click my computer and then click Properties.
If you don't see "x 64 Edition" in the list, then you are running 32-bit Windows XP.
If "x 64 Edition" is listed under system, you are running the 64 bit version of Windows XP.

Another surefire Tip: If your system is fully patched and you have SP3 - you run 32-bit.  64-bit has only until a SP2.

  • Aurora running, but can not be played on Desktop Windows 7 pro 64-bit

I've been using Aurora for several years with Windows 7 pro 64-bit with the two latest major 28/29 Auroa just missing from my desk after clicking on the icon on the desktop, I tried to uninstall, but the system told me I had still Aroura running uninstall so I had to reboot my PC, I could uninstall I then reinstalled Aurora and a pinned icon appeared in the taskbar, but when I clicked on the icon on the desktop the hourglass turned but no Aroura started on the desktop, so I went through the whole thing again and uninstalled Aurora and installed Firefox V26 and now it has progressed to the last version that has disappeared as exactly the same way.

What can I do if I use Aroura again because it is very good and safe to use?

I can't use the troubleshooting info as I can't see Aurora/Firefox to view or copy/paste the info shown.

    Pete

Thank you solved the problem, I restarted the PC and now Aurora works again thanks.

  • Pro Media Center of Windows 8 license is not triggered. How can I make it back to Windows 8 Pro license

I received a free upgrade license for Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, at the time where they offered.

I have not noticed that the license is good if active before a date which has since long (a few times in February). The license has been accepted at the entrance and the Media Center software installed, when I went to add new features to Windows 8 (I had already updated the machine to Windows 8 Pro.

In fact, I don't want to buy the upgrade at this point. How can I make the license back to the old key... which of course, now I can't see.  I bought several upgrades, and you have not installed all, so I don't know how many of those I've not used on other machines upgrade is the one I used on this one.

    Thank you

  • How do tell you the difference between windows XP pro 32-bit & 64-bit

I have 2 windows XP pro os. one is green with white writing the other is color gold and seems to change it to move into the light.
I need to know if it is 64-bit.
    Thank you
    Joe

The title of the disc should include "64" somewhere, as in

    • Microsoft Windows XP Professional x 64 Edition (most common)
    • Microsoft Windows XP 64 - bit Edition (for computers with Itanium processors only)

'Gold' that sounds as if it had a hologram - which suggests that it is a real Microsoft CD or at least a very good forgery.

"Green with white writing" sounds like "recovery" CD to a computer manufacturer.

  • How can I know what that found Windows memory diagnostic?

There is a small box that says.

"your computer has a memory problem" "memory problems can cause the computer lose information or stop working." To identify and fix the problem contact the manufacturer of the computer "."

Y at - it somewhere I can look and see what she got?

I had all kinds of problems such as, blue screen memory dump, google chrome aw snap crash a lot, I was playing a game and it crashed to the desktop, so I couldn't run all the programs with reformulating them the computer, the computer no longer meets the Middle Windows up to date.

When these problems started I thought ok I have this Windows 7-64 bit running for 3 years so I have re installed every thing and the same thing happened, I did it again but this time I used my XP disk to do the long format, it took 6 hours to do the 2 to hard drive if there are viruses that should have killed them and the reader should be as close to new as I can get it, but I still have the same problems.

I ran scan disk, no problem, right now my CPU usage is 6%, RAM is 1.78 GB used out of 8 GB on the Task Manager.

    My computer performance scores are

    Processor 7.2

    7.4 RAM memory

    Chart 7.4

    7.4 games graphics

    Hard disk 5.9

It says I have a memory problem, but I've never seen more than about 2.8 GB of RAM being used I think that my motherboard is wrong something to do with the LAN of the jury party because all the problems seem to have something to do with the internet, but I would like to know what she has in case it's the hard drive and not the Mo before as I have spend a lot of money on the bad parts.

I have try ed out the RAM and put back in, run the test, but did not so bad yet lucky, so I took the RAM on another PC and TA-DA! She has passed the test and everything works now no more of accidents.

It would have been nice if she was 'Diagnostic memory Windows (RAM)' instead of memory diagnostic Windows user so first like me knows just what memory it is testing, I found by chance and didn't know what it was.

So if your browser blocks a lot especially google chrome "AW snap" crash and accident of programs on desktop to run this tool, it could be your RAM.

I hope this may help others.

I bought a laptop with a windows xp pro, I have the serial number, but I don't have the installation disc. How can I know which version I need? SP3 has not worked... at the moment I am testing SP1

The serial number of the computer has nothing to do with the product key for Windows.

What happened when you tried to install Xp with sp3? If you do not have the original for the computer that you use to install Windows?

You can try to contact the manufacturer of the computer who may be able to provide the recovery disc. The disks are usually under $ 20.

    Hello

This is not an indication of malware. Could be those are placed on the
computer by the manufacturer of the system and that was the date that firstly, they prepared their
for massive installation, or if they did not set a date and be used arbitrarily.

    =============================================================

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
