How can I manually remove a network adapter wireless, hidden and corrupt "Network connections" in Windows 7?

I need to locate and remove a network hidden in Windows 7 device manually.  The device is called "Wireless network connection" but does not appear in network connections.  The reason why I know that its there is when I try to rename "Wireless Network Connection 2" to "Wireless network connection" I get an error that the connection already exists, even if the device has been uninstalled and is not listed.  I have to remove this connection because it is completely corrupt and preventing any wireless with a red X in the system tray.  The adapter works fine on another machine.  I tried showing hidden devices in device but Manager that has not worked.

Open a command line window and type the following two lines:

Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1
Start devmgmt.msc

In this special Device Manager window. in the menu, click view and then Show hidden devices

Unwanted devices will appear dimmed. You right-click on them from there and uninstall them.

Then return to your network center and rename your adapters for what you want without the sign #.

You can download and run a full scan of the system using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if this helps to eliminate the Virus.

  • How can I manually remove Ubuntu on my PC in Windows 8?

Recently I've briefly toyed around with Ubuntu 12.04 for a bit, and after navigating my way through multiple errors, I finally found that I was unable to run Windows as a missing file or something in that sense. I then refreshed Windows followed to successfully remove the "Grub Loader", however I am now finding me impossible to remove "Ubuntu" in the list of the operating systems that display at startup. I have no program in my list of programs and features as a result of the update and no chance of finding an effective method to eliminate Ubunto elsewhere have had so far.

Could someone give me preference simple indications (as I am not too familiar with some of the more complicated aspects of Windows) as to how I would like to manually remove Ubuntu. Also what I read I was informed that Ubuntu change my partitions or something of the sort? (I'm not familiar with what they are). If this is the case, can someone help me to restore to their original state I'm naïve about how do it safely.

I'll also add that if this is the easiest option and I have confirmed that it will fix everything, I'm ready to completely restore my PC.

    Thank you.

  • How can I manually remove an update?

Windows installed a pair of optional of 3rd third-party updates. Problems and I want to delete them. How can I remove updates? I don't see them on the program Panel to install, or I don't see an option to delete, on the Panel to view the update history.

    Hello AlexaRaven,

A list of the installed updates is available, as said by Loulou, in the installed display updated programs and features.

Locate the update that you want to delete, and then right-click on it. You should then see an uninstall option that you have to click to uninstall the update.

It should be recalled, however, that once uninstalled, Windows Update will again offer to install. If you don't want to not re-installed, right-click on the update in Windows Update, and click the option "Hide update". The update will not be installed.

  • How can I load the classic games such as Solitaire and FreeCell on my new Windows Vista computer?

    joshuasmama,
Well, I'm not familiar with this games has on the Business edition.  However if the games are available and all simply not loaded then you can load the as follows:

Click Start > Control Panel > programs > "Turn Windows features on or off" (it is listed under the "programs and features")

A window opens with a list of all Windows components that are available.  If it has a check mark next to it, then he is responsible. Then go to the 'Games' folder, click on the + to open the folder.  If the games you want are listed and unverified, then put a check mark next to them and click OK.  They will then arrange.

If already, he has control and is not in your list of games, and then uncheck the box, click ok, restart, and then back in, check it out.

Try and let us know what happens.

Apparently the driver was not loaded when the server has been restarted

I can do to load the driver manually to see if the NETWORK card?

PS: don't worry about the stability, it is a laboratory

I am struggling to understand the appeal of running a 10 years old 10/100 NIC under the latest version of ESXi.

As a PCI card, the A5506B cannot be used in passthrough mode. Therefore, it will not be a problem.

The driver you are using has been a quick port intended for experimental running ESXi 5.1 under Hyper-V running on Windows 2012.

You can follow the discussion on this topic: Vmware ESXI in Hyper-v (2012 server) network problem

The NETWORK adapter inherited from Hyper-V emulates the DEC 21140 using the 'Tulip' driver I don't remember anyone using it on a physical network card.

The diffs for the linux sources are in the thread, as well as instructions on creating your own version of the driver.

One thing you need to do is to read the ID of PCI of the A5506B (as told by "lspci") in etc/vmware/driver.map.d/tulip.map.

You may be able to get at least one of the ports on the card to operate in this way.

To get them all turned on, you will probably have to play with the driver source.
