  I'm sorry, but it is not possible to move programs from one operating system to another.  You must reinstall the programs.

  Your data files must be in the Documents and Settings\ folder from the old hard drive and you can copy them to the folder on the Windows XP system.

  As DJ says, double-click the catalog on the external hard drive.

  Or, in the menu of LR, / file/open/and navigate on the external drive.

  Whatever it is, after the opening of the catalog, you will need to go to the library, Panel folders module and 'find missing' on each top-level to tell LR you folders, move the folders on the external drive.

  Sign in with your administrator account, go to C:\Documents and Settings and you will find all users. Copy the files/folder that you want from a user and paste to the other user.   Will need you a 2.5 "USB to SATA external enclosure. You can buy some fees at most computer stores, for example the selection to computers Canada. 2 USB works perfectly although you can spend a little more for the newer and more fast USB 3 which will be on your new computer.

  Once you have moved the disc again case simply plug into a USB port as if it were a USB flash drive. The operating system will recognize it, install the necessary drivers and allow you to access the help of Windows Explorer or similar.

  (Note that this assumes that you does not have a hard drive on the old disk T61p password.)

  1 how many partitions you have?

  Please follow the methods.

  Method 1

  If you have only one partition, in this case you will need to manually remove data that you don't want.

  Method 2:

  If you use multiple partitions, you can go ahead and format drives, except the partition where you installed OS.

  Hello!

  You will need to use a full copy of Windows XP.  Should be a sticker with the product key on the side of your desk or below if it is a laptop.

  Once you have this drive, you can reinstall Windows XP.  After you have installed all the software and drivers, you will be able to transfer all your data to the new HARD drive.

  If you don't have a copy of Windows XP, you can probably get a copy of the recovery from the manufacturing of computer media.  Just to provide the model and serial number and they should sent it.
