How can I move junk mail I need to keep my Inbox in

When I type move down it greys out I do not have to find another way to achieve the goal

Mail app after having selected the move, in the middle and gray glass straight out, but the left pane should remain available. It is normal that the app focuses your mind on your next step which is to select the destination folder in the left pane.

  • How can I move e-mail addresses of 'personal' to 'work '?

When I import contacts from a Windows Live Mail account to another Windows Live e-mail account, he always puts the email address into the slot in the "personal e-mail" rather than the "work email" slot he was supposed to be in. I went through and changed all 600 of my contacts so that personnel were in the slot of the "personal e-mail", and working contacts in the slot "work email". Then I exported the list and saved. I imported into a new Windows Live e-mail account, and they all came through as only "personal e-mail".  How can I change this without having to go through all contacts individually and change it?

  • How can I move the mail from my Outbox.

I'm done with 6 emails I sent to regain my Outbox.  I'm unable to move them to another location or send them.  Any ideas on what happened or how I can get my emails back?

Try resetting your e-mail account. This will probably not recover your emails, but should remove them from the Outbox.

First close your Mail application completely from the window of the selector app by double clicking the Home button and drag the email preview pane up until it disappears from the display. Then go to settings > Mail, Contacts, calendar > find your e-mail provider, click the account, and the blow to remove. Then restart the unit. Then go to settings > mail... and to add the account.

  • How can I move E-mail worm 0.7 version?

Time for a new computer and I guess it was a serious case of «if it is not broken...» »

Ten years of a value in the history of email (company) on the old machine. Need to move to the new 8.1 Win box. The old machine (P4, XP Pro) is up and running, there is no problem get/copy/move files, but I see that the new Tbird will not open the boxes to the old mailbox.

Their transmission to the course is not a good option because of the loss of the date.

Is there a simple way to convert the files?

Could I try find older versions and upgrade however several times up until XP is not taken in charge more? The file is converted at some point? If it is possible, what are the 'key' versions that I would use?

    Thank you very much.

I guess from a U.S. version of Thunderbird.

It was before my time with Thunderbird but I think he was so conversions between 1 and 2
    http://FTP.Mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/Thunderbird/releases/2.0.0.24/Win32/en-us/

    Most certainly Version 3
    http://FTP.Mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/Thunderbird/releases/3.1.20/Win32/en-us/

I think that remember me Version 12. but it was the abolition of conversion tools, in my opinion. So, 3, you can go directly to the current version.

Strongly, I suggest you save the profile and open and run the program between updates. Each change has had its share of failures and it is always handy to be able to "do it again".

Note that XP is still supported, so there is no end to the problem of life with Thunderbird (but still)

  • How can I get junk mail to go to junk automatically

On my iMac on the mail rules will send spam directly to the Junk Inbox.  How do I do this on the iPhone?

You do not have. IOS on iPhone mail has no possibility to the rules or the automatic filtering. If your e-mail account supports server-side and filtering rules, then go to your account settings and it change them.

  • How can I move the mail to an external drive or a similar place of ediscovery?

I have a summons for my emails to a certain company. How to separate my their email inbox and put them on an external support to provide for the lawyers?

You should check with the lawyers, what types of files, they are satisfied. They may prefer something like PDF.

File | Register under allows you to specify the file type. I would say .eml because it gives a copy verbatim.

Drag / move to a folder on your computer normally gives the same result.

If you have a lot of messages to export like that, I would use the ImportExportTools add-on - we.

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/ImportExportTools/

It also gives you a PDF option if appropriate.

But you do, you may find that it's cleaner to do a specific folder in Thunderbird and copy all relevant messages in this folder. Then you can export this folder as a procedure for blocking simple file copy/transfer, having already separated and organized. This folder will also remind you what you have sent to them and help you spot any omissions.

How can I move the outlook express emails from an XP PC to an another XP PC that has the same e-mail address without overwriting existing messages on this second PC?

I need to group together all messages from e-mail in a PC and to retire the first PC.

This could be problematic. I guess or OE is over? This would make it easy.

One thing you could do requires some manual work, but much less removal of dupes. For example, the Inbox. In the machine, you are going to scrap, create a new folder and move all messages in your Inbox to it. After you import on the other machine, you can drag the messages you need this folder in the Inbox, and then remove the user created the folder.

And then there are tools to remove the dupes. This one for example.

  • How can I move all the folders in Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail?

Bought a new computer with Windows Home, how can I move the folders of Outlook Express in Windows XP SP3 in Windows Live Mail? Thanks for your help.

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For Messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

    For the account settings:

In OE: Tools | Accounts, select the account and export it to the desktop. This will be an .iaf file. Copy it to the new computer and WLMail desktop: tools | Accounts and import the settings from the location you saved the.
