  • How can I prevent the "delete cookies" delete saved games to a flash based game?

    I'm in Firefox 4 on Windows 7.

I currently put to delete my story when I finish the session, including the cookies and temporary files. This is due to privacy.

However, I also have a (downloaded - does not work online or via a browser) based game of flash on my computer - recorded games like LSO.

Firefox so delete my saved games when I go out.

How can I set my privacy worries and still play this game?

I managed to solve it. I downloaded an add-on we called "BetterPrivacy" which was originally designed to remove LSO. It is possible to designate certain protected folders, if you can avoid deleting the LSO in them. The interface is quite intuitive, then I would backup any saved games, you want to keep before experimenting.

I also deleted my desired once LSO, I think during a cleaning procedure, but I don't know exactly what I did.

Depends on what mail program you use. Most have an items deleted/trash folder that keeps for several days, or until you empty the folder, and you can move them back to another folder. Once they are there, you can't get back them.

  • How can I prevent the Thunderbird goes directly to the next message after you delete that I read?

How can I prevent the Thunderbird goes directly to the next message after you delete that I read? I want to return to the list of all incoming mail, so I can choose what email I open then. I could see something that I don't want to open at all, but the way it is set up right now, it opens the following email automatically.

Thank you. I don't want to download an add-on, so I tried the messages pane, and I guess it will do. I used Thunderbird a few years ago and he used to have an option where it would go after deleting a message during the consultation in its own window. But I think I can live with this option. so thank you once again.

It will remove all of them at once, or it deletes any more than 1 day, 1 week or 1 month? We are talking about the trash, or a mailbox?

  • How can I prevent the download Thunderbird automatically emails?

I do not have thunderbird to automatically download my emails from my server. I want to manually click to receive email. How can I prevent automatic download?

The above method works for POP accounts, but if the IMAP account and the IMAP server supports the IDLE command, I think that you will receive notifications as soon as they arrive at the server level, regardless of the setting to check the mail.

  • How can I disable compacting of emails, I'm some lose every time I compact.

How can I disable compacting of emails, I'm some lose every time I compact.

You can't turn it off, and if you could, you would lose all your messages eventually. You can have a file corruption, and I would advise to create a new identity.

You may have a damaged identity especially if it's the default main identity. File | Identity | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

Note: Do not use the main word in the name of the new identity.

    About file Corruption:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/IE/community/columns/filecorruption.mspx

Compacting your folders periodically is a must to keep OE works fine and at some point, you may lose all your saved messages if you do not. When you delete or move messages, the space they used remains until you compact.

Never touch anything until the compression is finished.* *.

    See:
    www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

With SP2, Automatic compaction in the background has been removed because of problems he has caused. Now, you will get a prompt to compact after 100 closures of OE, you need to do, and do not touch anything until it's finished. If you compact manually, at your convenience, this will also set the counter to zero. See this for more information:
    http://www.insideoe.com/files/maintain.htm#compact

If you are fully patched, you will now see a copy of your dbx files copied to the Recycle Bin as BAK files. If something goes wrong when compacting, the messages can be easily restored from this backup. A compact manual resets also the counter in the back of the registry to zero now.

For more information, see the information framed in red here:
    www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

To keep things running smooth and harden faster:

Do not archive mail in default OE folders. It will eventually become corrupt and you may lose mail. Create your own folders defined by the user for mail storage and move your mail to them. Empty the deleted items folder regularly. Keep user created folders under 300 MB, and also empty as is possible to default folders.

    And backup often.
