I have a computer on my list of "scan to" on my HP Envy 7640, which is no longer in use.  How can I remove the computer name in the list?

With the help of Apple / Mac OS X Yosemite

    Thank you!

    I can't help but wonder if the computer is still on the same network as the printer. Even if you have no more than the computer, you may give it to someone else who uses the same network as you? I think it's weird that the printer is always to see the computer. If this computer and the printer are not on the same network, perhaps to restore the printer to the factory settings would help. To do this test, please complete the following steps;

    1. On the front panel of the printer, scroll down to the second main menu screen by sliding your finger to the right of the screen to the left
    2. Choose settings, or Setup
    3. Select printer maintenance
    4. Go to restoration
    5. Choose both restore factory default settings

Once this operation is completed, you will need to reconfigure the printer to your wireless network. Please let me know if this is the case. Thank you.

Press and hold on the application until all applications start jiggling. Then press the x in the upper corner of the (s) you want to delete. Press the Home button to stop the jiggling. Notice that a lot of these pre-installed applications (clock, Messages, etc.) will not have an x when jiggling and they cannot be deleted.

  • How to remove an item from the start menu in Windows 7?

I tried to install a game written for an earlier version of Windows.  It did not work, but when I uninstalled the program, he left an icon in my Start menu.  I can't find a way to delete the item in my Start menu.

If I click on the link, I get a message that says that this is not a valid Win32 application.

If I right click on the link, I get options:
    Run as administrator
    More games from Microsoft
    PIN to the taskbar
    PIN to Start Menu
    Sort by name

I miss the opportunity, we usually need to change the Menu start manually!

I did all that, although I had to 'Show hidden files' in two different places, but the guarded program reappear, even after that I deleted everything that I could find that had "Lemmings" in there.  I had installed the program on the D drive and I could delete it, but the next time I saw the Start Menu, it would put a file on drive D named Lemmings Revolution.exe (with no data in this document, 0 bytes).

I tried the support link from Microsoft and the thought that should work, but alas, I didn't have the product code to enter the FixIt program when asked.

I finally took a huge risk Open regedit and then sought to any occurrence of the word "Lemmings".  I deleted everything in the registry that referenced "Lemmings", then returned to the D drive (in the command prompt) and deleted the above programme, after that I restarted my computer.

So far, it seems to have solved the problem...

(I knew after you remove some of the registry keys, one of the contained key code product I could entered the FixIt program, but by then I had already made changes.)

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me!

  • Yet once again, I ask. How can I put "recent documents" on the start menu in windows 7, I use Office 2003.

Just need a shortcut for 'recent documents' which has disappeared.  It had XP & Vista.

Cancan, probably not what you want, but is "Recent Articles" in the start menu of good?

It will contain recent documents, but also has other types of files like images.

  • How can I remove a shortcut from the dialog box 'Open with' in Windows 7?

Inadvertently, I added a few shortcuts to open with that are unnecessary (I chose .exe that are not supposed to work this way, as a few .exe 7zip), but I'm unable to remove from this menu.

I found a Microsoft article on this operation, but he says it's for Windows 8, tells me to click on the version for Windows 7, which brings me to a search page, and when I search for it, it shows links that take back me to the original page, so I'm going in circles.
