  Here's what worked for me:

  If your screen is locked on the iPhone/iPad, and it has been locked so that you plugged into your computer, then the DCIM folder which usually contains all the pictures on your camera will be empty (security). Unlock and plug it back to USB.

  It is also normal, as Nathan described. You can 'move' a window behind the taskbar.

  What I was describing is the default when you open a new window maximized. It should extend from the top of the screen to the top of the taskbar and not behind the taskbar.

  If you have set on auto-hide the taskbar, this means a slightly larger magnified window, because it extends all the way to the bottom of the screen and if you appears the taskbar then it will cover the bottom of the open window.

  Since I bought this new computer with Windows 7 three months ago, I never post photos in folders "my images". I mean, for some pic I wanted to get an overview, I have to click on this photo file and individually amd choose a program to open it. I don't have a lot of options. I have now even can't use the picture display window program. Very frustrated. I need to be able to see all the photos to choose who I want to use / choose it for download, one sending anything, action. I can do this with Win Xp, Win Vista, but do not know why not with Windows 7. Please help me with kindness. I almost went crazy.

Then I moved to a new iMac running El Capitan / iTunes 12.3.3. Now iTunes shows apps on my iPhone (a very poor screen but they are there), but it is more so the more complete list showing all applications stored on my iMac. They are always there in my iTunes library (in fact, I have 3 different libraries) to:

  iTunes > iTunes Media > applications mobile but iTunes does not see them.
