So I installed Windows 7 ultimate the other day, and whenever I have many open windows icons startup flashes no appearant reason. Is there a setting somewhere to turn off blinking icon? I guess I need to clarify my post. Let me explain what I mean. When I'm working on something like this moment while in this forum in firefox windows media player is open behind her and yahoo Messenger behind this and my music open also. I have three illuminated programs (media player.yahoo, and my music folder) icons in my taskbar for no reason. I want to disable the flashing if possible. That's what I'm trying to do. I do not think that the best solution is just to try to not keep the window for applications or open applications. flashing icons are boring and annoying. None of these programs or folders need attention just because I'm going to another window... This is ridiculous.

I know it can be disabled in some way, as you say that it is a feature of windows. It is not a service of primary system or something that is necessary for windows to function properly. Don't worry if there is third party software that can do the job. I didn't have to go that route. I use tuneup utilities 2010 and I've not had a flash since.

  • How can I stop Firefox asking me over and over again (even on pages without Flash content) to install Flash? I don't want to not installed Flash and this stupid pop-up.

Then, even when I load Web sites (like those that we here at my work have created) with very simple HTML and absolutely nothing Flash related, I always get a pop-up asking me to install flash (pop down from the URL bar on the left.) How can I stop this without disable all updates of plug-in?

Also, why in the name of all that is good it wonder on Flash when I have no pages open with anything remotely Flash like on them?

Thanks to anyone who can answer.

my thought was that maybe an extension is inserting the flash code in each page visited...

    Hi Don,

What version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer?

You can still block the pop up that allows you to limit or block most pop-ups. You can choose the level of blocking you prefer, to block all pop-up windows to allow the pop-ups you want to see. When pop-up Blocker is enabled, the InfoBar displays a message saying "pop-up blocked. To display this pop - up or other options click this link:

  • This computer is old; How can I stop messages from "update of the plugin"?

This computer is running Mac OS 10.4.11 on a Power PC chip. I get a small window at the top of the screen that says: "some plugins used by this page are out of date. The problem is that this old computer won't accept any of the proposed new plugins (Flash, QuickTime, Java, etc.). How can I stop the message from popping up?

Enter ' subject: config "in the address bar of the browser, confirm the information dialog box, then find the preference named"plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin"and double click it to switch to 'true '.

Please note that firefox won't also support architecture ppc any longer, however if you want to use an updated firefox-based browser, you can switch to "tenfourfox" - Firefox no longer works with the processors in Mac OS X 10.4 or PowerPC

During the closure after a browsing session I find several windows behind the window of the main browser I have not opened and they must be closed individually. What is the cause and how can I stop it? Edit

These windows display ads? They could be 'pop-under' designed to show when you are finished with your main window. Orbitz has these, for example. Irritating. I'm not sure of the best solution, i.e., advertising blocker blocker vs.

If they are not ads, can you think anyway that they are related to the sites you visit?

In addition, to close a tab (or window, if there is only one tab), you can press Ctrl + w. could speed up the process of their release until you find a real solution.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of your modules is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
See the extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common troubleshooting Firefox problems and troubleshooting questions with plugins like Flash or Java to solve common Firefox problems

If this does not work in safe mode and then disable all your extensions and then try to find out who is causing by allowing both the problem reappears.
You can use 'Disable all add-ons' on the start safe mode window.
You will need to close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

    Here's the story:

My cell phone is not responding, so I stop and restart. Then when I enter my user account, it is empty, no icon on the desktop no taskbar, only the slider that appears. I'm frustrated and don't know what to do. Since my laptop already has a few problems (it's a bit slow) so I decided to use the system recovery and restore the "factory shipped condition."

Then I install any program that was previously in my laptop (firefox, software adobe reader, media player, flash player, player virtual clone, Utorrent, VLC player, WinRar, Internet Download Manager, Spyware doctor and NoAdware classic). But when I plug my laptop modem, I got a blue screen, and I am one of the software is not compatible with my modem. So I use the recovery system once more and intend to try the software one by one. I plug the modem first. then I got blue screen. So I try to uninstall norton internet security (he was there from the beginning) and try to connect the modem. He works so I thought that norton is the cause but I'm always worried, so I try the software one. Install software on my external hard drive, plug the hard drive, try plugging the modem, taken on the modem and try reinstalling other software). Until the latest software has been installed, there is no problem. Then I plug the external hard drive after installing the latest software and updated online using the modem (to open hotmail and send my homework) then I plug in the modem and plug my external hard drive to watch videos. Then, I suddenly remember to download something. So I plug the drive hard on and plug in the modem. Then I got a blue screen with this error:

    Stop: 0x00000007E (0XC0000005, 0X8EF5AC0D, 0X8b357BF8, 0X8B357F4)

    CDROM.sys: address 8F555C0D base at 8F14C000, stamp base 47918f7e

Then I try to restart the laptop and try to connect the modem, but I got a blue screen with the same error code

    What should I do?
    How can I stop it?

It would be helpful if someone can solve this
    Thanks :)

    Hi Patrick,

I suggest you follow the given method and check if it helps.

Method 1: Update your modem firmware.

You can check with the manufacturer or contact the Internet service provider to update your firmware.

Method 2: Alternatively, you can try to install service Pack 2 on your computer.

    Please follow the link below to install the Service Pack 2;

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how can I stop the vibrating alerts for every received email?

I went into my settings and I turned off the ringer, vibration, flashing of the LED, etc. for all my e-mail messages, however, whenever I get a new email from Yahoo!, the phone buzzes.

How can I stop this from happening?

    Hello and welcome!

So, just to be sure (I'm sure you did that... but please indulge me), you have devoted to the application of sounds (whether through the icon on the home screen or the "speaker" below the power indicator of battery in portrait screen mode button) and choose ' Set Ring Tones/alerts. You have selected 'Messages' and then selected the Email line associated with your Yahoo! mail account BIS. Then you define 'Volume' to 'Silent', 'LED' on 'Off' and 'Vibration' to 'Off '. And you did for each line item in the section "Messages" from this screen. Right?

If so, then it looks like you have what I like to call 'strange behaviour' of the storm. And the first normal cure is hard reboot battery-pop. With the power of the appliance, remove the back cover and pull the battery. Wait for about a minute then reinsert the battery and replace the cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long long long restart the process (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). See if the strange behavior ceases. Like all computers, the Storm has to reset... and there is a thread on this forum recommends to every four days.
