  The problem could be that the print settings could be changed to landscape. Change the setting to portrait and then try to print again.

  To change the settings:

  Right click on the printer > Printer preferences > Layout > select the Portrait Orientation > Apply

  If it is Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system, then select and double-click Printers & peripherals.

  Double-click the icon for your printer.

  With my operating system Windows 7 and PhotoSmart C310, I see the following picture.   First of all, restart your router by pulling its plug momentarily.

  Then, on the printer: Setup > Wireless > restore default values.

  On your Mac, click the wifi icon in the menu bar and search for a wireless network 'network' starting with "hp".  Connect you to it.

  Turn on the printer: Setup > Wireless > wireless network Test.  Print it to get (self assigned) IP address of the printer.

  Type the address in the browser address bar to reveal the built-in Web server (EWS of the printer).  Go to the network tab and look for the wireless configuration wizard.  Run it to connect the printer to your wireless network.

  Back on the Mac, return to the wifi icon and reselect your regular wireless network.

  Finally, restore the print system:
  
  -Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
  -Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
  WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
  -Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
