  You need not turn off the HP Support Assistant.

  To reuse commands already typed on the just command line use the arrow, not the F1 key key!

  Whenever you type it will travel the already typed commands. Stop at that you need.

  You have responded immediately after that I disconnected! I noticed a thread in the pane to the right of the posts (forget what it's called) asking the opposite question. Read it and went to led sync PIM in the Palm program file. I knew I had seen him before. I knew it was on the tip of my nose, because I was taking way too long to get him!  My Palm calendar entries are now in my Outlook calendar. Thanks for responding.
