  Normally, a need only launch Photoshop and choose help - updates to the process began.

  Another alternative is to run the Adobe Application Manager where it was installed in the start menu (assuming Windows).  I guess it will be similar for Mac (for example, to run within Applications in the Finder).

  You need to update Lightroom for help > updates

  3. buy Lightroom 6 (stand-alone version).

  4 use the ViewNX software provided with your camera to do your raw processing and save TIF files that can be opened with Photoshop.

  None of these solutions will give you access to your pictures raw image data.

  You can not update because you have the app store version. Apple does not apps sold through the app store to update anyway, except through the app store, and adobe obviously think we should create a new version whenever there is an update of raw.   YYou want to save raw images, but not all? Is that what you mean? When you import into FVP you can select the songs you want and you can set the library in the Inspector to record the files on any player, anywhere.

  Normally, I shoot with the 7dmarki and have never had any problems.  After troubleshooting my error message 'cannot open IMG1111 because it's the wrong file type', only the options have been updated plugin raw from the camera, to buy the latest version or uninstall and reinstall.  First train to the plugin to update because it was a leased device.  Thanks again!

  Thanks MichelBParis!  I didn't see where he said to 12 items.  I downloaded the free DNG Converter last night and not had much luck.  It is not recognizing that I have all files in the folder at all.  Don't know what I'm doing wrong!

  Nothing worked until I managed to speak directly to Adobe support. They recommended to install the latest version of Camera Raw Installer 8.6.   Just got a Nikon d5500 has been added and download and install Adobe Camera Raw 8.8 (which seems to be called dng converter) but it does not appear.  This is supposed to be the whole dng converter and camera raw.  During the installation, he said 'clear old files' or something in this direction, but 8.3 appears always in/Library/Application Support / plugins...   Adobe has not consolidated the plugin raw dng converter and camera for quite awhile.

  I don't know why adobe is not clear, but they have not, which leads to confusion.

  So what you have downloaded and installed was just the 8.8 converter dng, which is in Applications > Adobe DNG Converter.app

  It is a separate application to convert camera raw in best dng, which can then be opened in adobe photoshop cs to cc 2015

  using the existing camera raw plugin.

  For photoshop cs6 go help > updates in photoshop cs6 to download the camera raw 9.1.1 update.

  Then your d5500 nikon has been added files should open directly in photoshop cs6.

  If your mac os x 10.6.8 help snow leopard, then unfortunately photoshop cs6 can only be updated camera raw 8.3

  And we can only use up to the converter 8.3 dng so.
