How could I give priority to my network connections, (without turning off the strap attached, as it took), so that it uses the internet from my main network connection?

Prioritize network connections

OK, here's the situation.
I have a regular ethernet connection that provides me with a network and the internet.
I have also a tablet PC which I attach to my PC so I can use it as a controller. (Not that it is important, but it's for a DAW/Midi controller)

My problem is that whenever I place my tablet, PC starts by ignoring my normal connection and taking the internet from my Tablet (even when it is not connected to the internet). As a result, my internet is de-energized once I tie it, if I'm not as under the wifi on my tablet.

My question is, how could I give priority to my network connections, (without turning off the strap attached, as it took), so that it uses the internet from my main network connection?

Hello

As well as the troubleshooting provided by Boumediene steps, you can also try the steps in this link. Some screenshots are also available on the link for a better understanding.

  • How to disable/restrict personal hotspot without turning off the phone's data?

    Web restrictions work well for iphones for my kids.  We use the circle of disney at home, with the circle of disney GO! product to provide a filtering not at home.  (we also use restrictions to disable Safari and don't allow apps, we know to be installed, otherwise, the app store is disabled.)  We are quite draconian parents.  But it's not important right now)

    Turning on personal hotspot on a phone with the data actually bypasses * everything *.  If kid 2 has a phone with no data, but a browser.  Child 1 to an iphone that has locked the web browser of the restrictions on, and is allowed to have data that it can play Pokémon Go, read some wiki apps, and use the iMessage.

    Child 1 turn on personal hotspot, kid2 connects sound phone (or laptop or other) through it and volia! Unfettered internet access.

    IF, however, there is a way to disable the personal hotspot, the question is carefully disappears.  Yes, you can still play Pokémon Go and iMessage is always turned on, but you can't be sneaky.  (please, no comments about how I should trust my children.  I do, but I was once a male 14yo.  full stop.)

    I could disable data completely, but I want to leave some stuff.

    Web restrictions and the browser crashes are a very good start.  And I would have thought that cell parameters (with the personal hotspot OFF) lock would prevent changes.  Nope.  Allows still flipping the switch independently.

    Am I missing something stupid obvious?  (certainly wouldn't be the first time.)

    Cheers!

    -aaron

    Your cell carrier allows personal hotspot for each phone number. Ask them to turn it off for the iPhone you want to not use it.

  • How to turn off the 3 g 2g

    Help, please

    How to turn off the 3 g or 2g? I don't want my phone to be constantly pulling down or obtaining data when he feels like it and I can't find the setting. I don't want the wireless on except if I choose...

    Cheers for the help

    If you want to switch between 3G and 2G to save battery: settings | Wireless controls. Mobile networks | Select network.

    If you want to disable the data without the use of airplane mode which also disables your vocation (which looks like), search the market for APNdroid. Great app that will do it. It is light. Just make sure that you have disabled (i.e. to have access to the Internet) before uninstalling. It does nothing with the wifi.

    ' 4 ' most recently used ' list - how to disable file
    Previous

    The information in this article applies to:

    WinWay RESUME 9.0 and versions later

    Summary

    Like many other Windows applications, the menu 'File' of WinWay RESUME luxury offers easy access to read files recently. This article explains how to remove this list.
    More information

    Windows offers a system policy to disable the file 'most recently used' lists for applications in accordance with this particular policy standard.
    To turn off the "most recently used" list of files, download and run this file.
    To restore the list, download and run this file.

    Notes:

    This setting affects several applications, not only WinWay RESUME
    This setting applies only to the user currently logged on to the computer. You can repeat these steps for the other connections if necessary

    For advanced users

    The parameters above can be entered through the Publisher of the registry as well.

    Select Start, run, Reg Edit
    Navigate to this registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
    To disable the "recently used file list", adds the value:

    Name: NoRecentDocsHistory
    Type: DWORD
    Value: 1

    To activate the "recently used file list", right-click on the 'NoRecentDocsHistory' and select 'delete '.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Comdlg32 key. 2. create a REG_DWORD value called NoFileMru and set the value to 1.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
    HKEY_USERS\.default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

    In the right pane, look for a DWORD 'ClearRecentDocsOnExit '. Its value could be set to 1. Set its value to 0 or delete it completely.

    The recent documents menu can be disabled easily by editing the registry. To do this, go to the following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
    Now in the right pane, create a new DWORD with the name: NoRecentDocsMenu and set its value to 1. Restart the browser to save the changes.
    You can also clear the RUN MRU history. All ads are stored in the key:
    HKEY_USERS\. Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
    You can remove individual entries or the entire list. To remove history to find inscriptions date on:

  • How can I turn off the monitor (e.g., "standby") via the command line at the push of a button (or any other shortcut need not additional software)?

    Hello

    I don't like it when, after a break from work on my PC, the screen turns off as set up through "Power Options" in the control panel. That's why I put the relatively high threshold.
    However, when I know that I will not need the computer for a while, I want to save energy and wish the mode "sleep" could be activated immediately. Turn off the screen is not an option, because it has a USB hub built-in - off completely would be to unplug any connected device. Usually, if the computer has always works and might need the resources connected.

    Ideally, by pressing a button (or start a program or something), the screen would immediately go in mode 'sleep'.

    On systems prior to Vista and 7, IIRC, running a command in the sense of:
    Rundll32.exe user32.dll, SendMessage (HWND_BROADCAST, WM_SYSCOMMAND, SC_MONITORPOWER, 2);
    would do the trick. The dll should run the command to set the monitor to sleep. We could create a shortcut or even integrate the command in a batch file, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on Vista or 7.

    Does anyone have an idea on how to do it on Windows 7?

    I would strongly try to avoid having to install any additional software to help me. (There is quite a little all about, even free applications that promise to do exactly that, but I want to avoid them if possible.) "And I can't believe that this basic that could be done on XP cannot act more on 7!).

    Thank you for your help,
    NicApicella

    Hello

    Sleep is one thing and switching Off the Display is quite another.

    I found a way to turn off the screen in case you don't have a hardware switch or a keyboard shortcut as in my Dell Inspiron laptop (Windows 7).

    Create a batch with the following script file:

    echo off

    C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe-changer - monitor-timeout-dc 1
    C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe-changer - monitor-timeout-ac 1

    START/min/Wait C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr s

    C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe-changer - monitor-timeout-dc m1
    C:\Windows\System32\powercfg.exe-changer - monitor-timeout-ac m2

    with the idle time to turn off your screen set in the Control Panel, replace m1 and m2.

    Control Panel > Power Options > any 'Active' diet Plan > change Plan settings > disable the display setting (minutes).

    For example, in my computer laptop m1 = m2 = 30 and 10.

    Now create a shortcut to the batch file and optionally assign a keyboard shortcut and an icon.

    Explanation of the script:

    The first two commands sets the idle time Display Off for the minimum possible setting of 1 Minute for the AC and DC (battery) power. The third command put the system mode blank screen saver 'instantly' and / Wait for the screensaver to terminate application. After 1 minute of inactivity, the monitor turns off power completely.
    The Saver screen/Wait is over by the event of the reactivation of a movement of the mouse button, the last two lines of code will come back the idle time-out settings of origin defined in the Panel view. This to ensure that after waking up, the display does not Turn off all 1 minute of inactivity expire.

  • "How can I turn OFF the ' don't publish pictures previously uploaded ' function?

    I downloaded pictures from my camera to my computer and accidentally deleted photos from the folder.  Also emptied the Recycle Bin - photos gone.  Tried to download again from the camera and get an error message "no new pictures or videos not found on this device."  "How can I turn OFF the ' don't publish pictures previously uploaded ' function?

    Help!  I need to download these pictures again.

    It is easy to add a new user account. Go in Control Panel - user accounts - add or remove some... you will see your main account and beneath the box 'create a new ac' - you want to choose administrator rather standard - give it a name 'Second Ac' or similar - add if desired password - choose picture etc, and you go! Maybe it's that the new account will also allow you to download the photos that will not the other account. If not you can simply copy them to the main account then giving yourself (Administrator) access authorization of the second account. This goes for computer-OS (C) - users (see figure below) and by opening your second account folder.

    (The "guest" account is an account of alternative rapid implementation you can leave a visitor can access their emails etc but are better left "off" otherwise)

    More you! R

  • How can I turn off the shot of the gesture of my computer laptop windows 8?

    I am trying to turn off the gesture on my new laptop computer shot and nobody seems to have an answer. I go online to find an answer but it gives me some information to copy and use, but it doesn't seem to work. Can someone PLEASE give me EXACT instructions step by step on how to disable these gestures? It's EXTREMELY annoying that, although I am a game or do anything at all that the charm bar opens or opens the last bar app! Don't know how long I can take this! Thank you

    OK all you Sony Vaio users, you are absolutely right.  There is no way to disable the gestures of the mouse settings.  But... I figured out how to do without having to modify the registry.  Go to your applications screen and click on the form "VAIO Control Center" y go "Keyboard and mouse", at the top of the list below, you'll see "Turn it / off touchpad" with a power slider.  The right of the element is a button «Détails»  Until it clicks.  Who will open another box saying "Enable multi touch features" there you will see a selection of 'Show the charm' uncheck the box which, and you won't have to worry about those accidental shots again.  YAY!

  • How to turn in lots on / turn off the layers in a large group of files

    I lifted this code to another debate that is supposed to say it works, but it doesn't.

    I get the error message: object does not support the method or property 'length '.

    I looked at other scripts to batch process this line of code seems to be OK.

    I know it's a very simple script and that the Tower on / turn off the part of the layer of the script works perfectly well (on individuall pages), but for some reason I can't get this lot of process.

    I have a set of several version of files with layers like 'from' for the Germany, "us" for the United States, etc. that I need lots open until I can print.

    Here's what I have:

    myFolder var is Folder.selectDialog ("Select folder Indesign");.

    var myIndsnFiles = myFolder.getFiles ("*.indd");

    for (k = 0; k < myIndsnFiles.length; k ++)

    {

    var myIndsnFiles = app.open (myIndsnFiles [k]);

    var myIndsnFiles = app.documents [0];

    var answersLayer = myIndsnFiles.layers.item ("us");

    answersLayer.visible = false;

    app.activeDocument.close (SaveOptions.yes);

    }

    Can you correct/explain what I am doing wrong?

    I had the Sergey Version to work. See below. It is very different from my original. I understood why my original wasn't, but could not know how to solve this problem. I tried to insert Laubender code in it, but I got the same error as above "object does not support the property or method 'length.

    I made a few adjustments so that the script turns off all the layers that need to be turned off and then turns on the layer I need.

    Everything works perfectly except that I wonder if there is a way I can disable all warnings, such as missing links, so that it treats the whole batch without a break. Maybe that's what Laubender spoke.

    myFolder var is Folder.selectDialog ("Select folder Indesign");.

    If (myFolder! = null)

    {

    var myIndsnFiles = myFolder.getFiles ("*.indd");

    for (var k = myIndsnFiles.length - 1; k > = 0; k-)

    {

    Try

    {

    myDoc var = app.open (myIndsnFiles [k]);

    Marquetry var = myDoc.layers.item ('in');

    inLayer.visible = false;

    var itLayer = myDoc.layers.item ('it');

    itLayer.visible = false;

    deLayer var = myDoc.layers.item("de");

    deLayer.visible = false;

    var ukLayer = myDoc.layers.item ('uk');

    var usLayer = myDoc.layers.item ("us");

    usLayer.visible = false;

    var intLayer = myDoc.layers.item ("INT");
