  Web restrictions work well for iphones for my kids.  We use the circle of disney at home, with the circle of disney GO! product to provide a filtering not at home.  (we also use restrictions to disable Safari and don't allow apps, we know to be installed, otherwise, the app store is disabled.)  We are quite draconian parents.  But it's not important right now)

  Turning on personal hotspot on a phone with the data actually bypasses * everything *.  If kid 2 has a phone with no data, but a browser.  Child 1 to an iphone that has locked the web browser of the restrictions on, and is allowed to have data that it can play Pokémon Go, read some wiki apps, and use the iMessage.

  Child 1 turn on personal hotspot, kid2 connects sound phone (or laptop or other) through it and volia! Unfettered internet access.

  IF, however, there is a way to disable the personal hotspot, the question is carefully disappears.  Yes, you can still play Pokémon Go and iMessage is always turned on, but you can't be sneaky.  (please, no comments about how I should trust my children.  I do, but I was once a male 14yo.  full stop.)

  I could disable data completely, but I want to leave some stuff.

  Web restrictions and the browser crashes are a very good start.  And I would have thought that cell parameters (with the personal hotspot OFF) lock would prevent changes.  Nope.  Allows still flipping the switch independently.

  Am I missing something stupid obvious?  (certainly wouldn't be the first time.)

  Your cell carrier allows personal hotspot for each phone number. Ask them to turn it off for the iPhone you want to not use it.

  In s manuals document is clearly described when you use the FN + F5 key combination and has nothing to do with it turn off the LCD screen.

  If you need not display and it should be OFF while you listen to music please change the display settings in power options. In the power settings, there is option turn off the screen. Set it to 1 minute and everything will be OK.

  If you want to switch between 3G and 2G to save battery: settings | Wireless controls. Mobile networks | Select network.

  If you want to disable the data without the use of airplane mode which also disables your vocation (which looks like), search the market for APNdroid. Great app that will do it. It is light. Just make sure that you have disabled (i.e. to have access to the Internet) before uninstalling. It does nothing with the wifi.

  I don't like it when, after a break from work on my PC, the screen turns off as set up through "Power Options" in the control panel. That's why I put the relatively high threshold.
  However, when I know that I will not need the computer for a while, I want to save energy and wish the mode "sleep" could be activated immediately. Turn off the screen is not an option, because it has a USB hub built-in - off completely would be to unplug any connected device.   I would strongly try to avoid having to install any additional software to help me. (There is quite a little all about, even free applications that promise to do exactly that, but I want to avoid them if possible.)   Sleep is one thing and switching Off the Display is quite another.

  I found a way to turn off the screen in case you don't have a hardware switch or a keyboard shortcut as in my Dell Inspiron laptop (Windows 7).

  Create a batch with the following script file:

  with the idle time to turn off your screen set in the Control Panel, replace m1 and m2.

  Control Panel > Power Options > any 'Active' diet Plan > change Plan settings > disable the display setting (minutes).

  For example, in my computer laptop m1 = m2 = 30 and 10.

  Now create a shortcut to the batch file and optionally assign a keyboard shortcut and an icon.

  Explanation of the script:

  The first two commands sets the idle time Display Off for the minimum possible setting of 1 Minute for the AC and DC (battery) power. The third command put the system mode blank screen saver 'instantly' and / Wait for the screensaver to terminate application. After 1 minute of inactivity, the monitor turns off power completely.
  The Saver screen/Wait is over by the event of the reactivation of a movement of the mouse button, the last two lines of code will come back the idle time-out settings of origin defined in the Panel view.   It is easy to add a new user account. Go in Control Panel - user accounts - add or remove some... you will see your main account and beneath the box 'create a new ac' - you want to choose administrator rather standard - give it a name 'Second Ac' or similar - add if desired password - choose picture etc, and you go! Maybe it's that the new account will also allow you to download the photos that will not the other account. If not you can simply copy them to the main account then giving yourself (Administrator) access authorization of the second account. This goes for computer-OS (C) - users (see figure below) and by opening your second account folder.

  (The "guest" account is an account of alternative rapid implementation you can leave a visitor can access their emails etc but are better left "off" otherwise)

  OK all you Sony Vaio users, you are absolutely right.  There is no way to disable the gestures of the mouse settings.  But... I figured out how to do without having to modify the registry.  Go to your applications screen and click on the form "VAIO Control Center" y go "Keyboard and mouse", at the top of the list below, you'll see "Turn it / off touchpad" with a power slider.  The right of the element is a button «Détails»  Until it clicks.  Who will open another box saying "Enable multi touch features" there you will see a selection of 'Show the charm' uncheck the box which, and you won't have to worry about those accidental shots again.  YAY!
