How do I Center web page?

Hello there, I am using Dreamweaver CS3 for a while, I'm now trying to DW CS5. How to make my web page toward the Center, is to show as it should in internet explore, but showing to the left, in firefox. It is a table with css design, when I align right it will show on the right in a browser, but not when align to Center.

Thank you

With CSS:

{body
background: #FFFF;
Width: 900px; / * width in pixels, ems or % * /.

margin: auto 10px; / * with width, this centers on screen page * /.

}

  • How high is a web page?

    So we do pages 900 + pixels wide these days, but I wonder how many vertical content that we can use it before the user must start first scroll - what it sees when the page loads. Is there a rule (or a finger of the mouse) to do this?

    It is true that you have to make a guess on the people who will be posted to the site.

    For example, if you know that they use all screens of 12 inches and IE6 (relative), which gives you an idea of what to shoot for.

    If you have a sense that they all enveloping monitors (surely someone will invent them) who are 36 inches on the diagonal and the latest, the greatest, browsers that tells you something else.

    You can get general statistics on the use of the monitor of w3c http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_display.asp taking account of a vertical scroll bar and the top of the screen monitor material (toolbars, etc.), you can kind of guess the actual viewport sizes.

    If you want to keep people on your page, and does not scroll to the Kingdom (how high is a web page? what is the sky?), there are strategies:

    • Stabilize the header and the tank below is scrollable in a container so it looks that everything on the screen...
    • Make the short page
    • Make the liquid of the page, so it does not hang off the page on small screens or cower in the corner of the large screens
    • Use the panels to Spry tab, or Spry accordions and other Spry content techniques

    You can imitate browser/monitor window sizes by window > Cascade and adjusting the size of the floating window manually (drag the lower right). The size of the display window displays on the right side of the selector tag at the bottom of the Document window (1038 x 628, for example).

  • How to stop the web page of the Center eprint opening automatically when ever I open the hp printer assistant

    I just bought an HP deskjet printer 3525 and after setting up, whenever I open assistant printer scan etc, the e-print web page will automatically open in my browser. I don't use print e & it becomes extremely irritating. I'm about to return to that retailer because of this situation, small but very annoying printer

    Oh Yes... I had the same problem but I forgot to mention... my bad

    the solution is...

    1. Copy the url.json file to another location (Office, perhaps)
    2. Then, change the copied file and save
    3. then copy this file and replace the original one in your file assistant hp
    4. Open the hp printer assistant

    I guess access to modify the refused for security of windows 7

    to stop people or programs make changes to files, particularly in the C drive.

    Remember to keep a backup of the file in case something goes wrong...

  • How to read the Web pages of the Japanese using IE7

    How to activate Windows XP (SP3) Media Center Edition 2005 read + Japanese + web pages on Internet Explorer 7?
    I tried Control Panel - region & language - advanced settings, but it refers to the need for a Windows XP CD I've ever had.

    No, the language and region settings are not responsible for Japanese kanji list in internt explorer 7.
    You will need to download the MUI Pack of Internet Explorer 7. You can find it on Micrsoft.com, but I don't know if this works with SP3.

    Try this, should work.

  • How do I Center the page Split and Design mode?

    When I look at my model in Design or split mode, it is flush on my screen with a top margin of 20 px or more. But when I check it in Live View mode, or when he seen on Firefox/Safari/Chrome/Opera, it is centered and aligned against the top of the screen.

    I should add that the model was very much in the design and split, until I started clearing the menu a spry. My page has fallen apart, I deleted the spry with plans to start ot on. But then I discovered my model right flower (in the design and Split, in any case).

    Can someone tell me please how to fix this? I guess that's more annoying than a tragedy, as long as the page is centered when he goes online. But it's a nuisance to work on the right side of the screen.

  • How to automatically center the page in the browser window

    Somewhere along the way, I remember coming across a very simple way to automatically focus your web pages in the browser.  Could someone remind me how it's done.  I think it's an order in one step among the toolbars, located along the upper part of Dreamweaver, but I looked through them and can't find it.  I also tried application center alignment my wrapper div that holds all my content, but who did not do.

    Thank you.

    {#wrapper}
    background: #AEADB2;
    padding: 0px;
    height: 660px;
    Width: 960px;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 2;
    Auto margin: 0;
    border-style: none;
    Top: 0px;
    text-align: left;
    }

    Thanks again for your help.

    I didn't know you were in the position: absolute on the wrapper div - that is why it is always best to ask for a link - which I did not in this case :-)

    position: absolute;

    For the wrapper div, change this:

    position: relative;

    and it must be centered - he did when I edited the css in Firefox :-)
