And also if I m even have another model of machine, then I can use the recovery disk in the other machine with the same model and OS. ???
as for now, I have two same machines toshiba Satellite L300-190 model.

Waiting for your response.

I think that this has been discussed much time here in the forum.

You can create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc creator!
This tool must be preinstalled on your laptop if the laptop was equipped with HARD drive recovery option.

You can also try to restore the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option.
You must press the F8 key during switching on laptop and I then have to choose the option called fix my computer. Then new window should open, and you could choose the Toshiba recovery.

If you cannot use the two procedures (disk recovery HARD and Toshibas recovery disk) then you can order the new CD from here:

  • How can I create system recovery disc for a new laptop with windows 7 Home Premium?

I just bought my daughter a new Toshiba Satellite with Windows 7 Home Premium laptop last night. The laptop came with a Windows restore disk. How to create a set of boot from the DVD then when the system fails, or I need a new facility? I created a system repair disc and two-disc Image recovery. Is this enough to fully restore Windows 7 to the initial state of machines? (Technology at best buy assured me that it was nothing that I was able to do and that they would do for me for $70.00.)

In short: my Dell came with a system recovery disk which was very convenient. I would like to reproduce this convenience with Windows 7. Any help appreciated.

You will need to follow the manufacturers directions to create the recovery media. Looks like you've done that, but Toshiba could only say with certainty. I recommend that you contact their customer service.

  • How to create a recovery disc with all vista updates?

original title: how to create a recovery disc with all vista updates without starting from scratch, so I can replace my hard drive?

My hard drive seems to be dying.  I would replace the drive.  I reloaded vista from scratch with all the updates, but it took forever.  I would like to make a record of recovery with all updates.  IAM on vista Home premium.  32 bit

If you want a good backup program that backups image, I recommend Acronis True Image 2010:http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/.  It offers a free trial, so you can test and if you want it's only about $30 for the original version.  A lot of people I know this program and use it instead of Vista even in versions of Vista that offers imagery as this program does a better job.  Of course you also need a place to put the backup (which will take a lot of space), so also consider.  The best choice would be a USB external hard drive at least as large as the readers you want to back up (not only the data on them, but the entire available disk space, so you miss when you add more information about the disks).

You cannot use IMGBURN do - it can't do anything like that.  It must be the imagery of backup software.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • No option to create product recovery discs

I started the application of "create rescue and recovery media" on my new T500, but the option to create a set of product recovery discs isn't available.  According to this doc from Lenovo , this option is not available if "your system has already created a set of recovery media." But I did NOT create the whole.  Is it possible to get this option and create product recovery discs?

My bad.  The support doc I linked should be somewhat outdated. I did notice that there are actually 2 different applications on my T500: 'Create recovery media' and 'Create the product recovery media.'

  • Recovery Disc Creator Error - Satellite L300D

    Hello

First of all, sorry for my English, but it is not my mother tongue. About my technical problem is very simple: I use Toshiba Satellite L300D-13 b with Vista 32 bit. I tried to create a recovery using Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator disc, but when I start the program (Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator) gives me this error:
"Cannot find the HDD Recovery folder on the second disc of the first hard drive. There is no valid disk HARD recovery environment on this computer.

How can I create my recovery disk?

    Thank you.

    Hello

New Toshiba laptops are delivered without recovery CD/DVDs and using Toshiba Recovery creator tool, you must create one. Toshiba has delivered laptop with factory settings. that means recovery image is recorded on the second partition in the file called HDDRecovery.

When you start the creator Toshiba Recovery tool it contains the data of this file and burn it to support empty. If this file is removed or deleted the application clearly says the file / data that is / are missing.
I don't know what you've done in the past, but now, you will not be able to create this recovery DVDs.

You can order the new copy under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx
Of course it is not for free and you pay for it.

  • Satellite L30-10 X: how to create product recovery disc

How to create a product recovery disc and use it to clean my computer so it was as if it was brand new, once again?

    Hello

You have an original Toshiba Recovery CD?

If this isn't the case, then you can order of ASP (authorized service provider) in your country.

However, you can create a clean image to a 3rd party like Norton Ghost utility application.
This software would be useful to create a bootable CD won, or just an image file that can be stored on another partition.

However, if you want to restore you laptop, and then reinstall the Windows operating system.
All the drivers of Toshiba important and tools are on the European driver Toshiba page.

Hard drive crashed and HP sent a new with recovery discs that say they will reinstall windows 7. Discs and installed hard drive run for 'restore factory settings' by following the instructions. Takes about an hour and all 4 disks are asking but then becomes at the end and left with white screen saying "no operating system installed."  Left on for a period simply show this message in case something happening in the background, but nothing happens.

2 extra drives came with set, but they simply refer to the instructions that make no mention of them.

    Hello

Download and create the bootable CD as described at the link below.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-80183-1&cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en

When you created this CD, insert it into the system that fails to start, restart, and wait until you see a window with a green check mark.  Next, remove the CD and insert your first recovery DVDs.  Reboot the PC and go through the process of installing the operating system again.  If all goes well, it should install properly this time.

  • Re: Satellite L300-1BV - create your recovery disc ISO images

    I wondered about this.
Could make my recovery disc ISO images, I know I could just make a few extra copies, but I am learning to create ISO images.
But I was a little worried about what would happen when I put a disc in the drive...

This along with the recovery image is a bit complicated, and something like this is not possible.
All you can do is create recovery DVDs using Toshiba recovery disc creator or directly start the HARD drive recovery using recovery Toshiba (F8) option.

You can do with it what you want but how you want to start the installation later?
Sorry, but I think that it will not work.

  • System Restore Win7 without success using recovery discs

I have a Vaio VPCCW23FX under Windows 7 Home Premium. My original hard drive Vaio is dying (after a little more than 2 years). I tried to create recovery discs from my laptop, but that the process has failed. Sony support said that my recovery partition must have gotten corrupted and I need to buy the discs at home. Very well, I did. I also bought a new Western Digital 1 TB portable hard drive (same cache size and speed as the drive in the laptop, just more storage space). I WAS able to create a disc Image system to my laptop, even if I couldn't create recovery discs.

The new hard drive installation was quick and easy and I had no problem. The process of recovery has been unsuccessful to date, however. It seems TO be going smoothly and successfully and run all 4 disks and nine copied files on the hard drive. I get to the end and it is said to remove the disk and restart the computer to complete the installation.

As it is start I see some messages that look like this market (including the update of the register, installation of devices). Then at the bottom it says: 'The Installer applies system settings' and an error message box is displayed. It is said: "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on a hardware on this computer." The only option is to click OK, how the computer restarts.

When the computer restarts after this error message, the same things happen but I get a new error message: "Windows cannot complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, run the Setup again. "Again, the only option is to click OK, that makes the computer to restart, which makes this error message displayed, etc.

I can hit F8 as soon as the VAIO appears logo and a menu of Windows recovery. I can boot into safe mode, I can choose to go in recovery mode, I can even get to a command prompt and see what is on the drive.

There is a good bit of information on the disc (about 20 GB or more, if I remember correctly). Based on the directories that are here, it SEEMS like Windows is there and should work... but it doesn't and it won't tell me why.

I can run the Startup Repair, and he tells me that it can not detect a problem. She even said, "State the start indicates that the OS booted successfully."

I tried to put in the System Image disc I created, but the Startup Repair and recovery system do not seem to recognize it.

I have screenshots of the various messages and info from the command prompt. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. Again, what are the recovery discs for Windows 7 that I ordered directly from Sony, own my laptop model, and the only difference in the computer, it is that I bought a 1 TB drive to replace the dying 500 GB drive.

    Thank you in advance.

  • HP Probook b 6450-how can I get the recovery disc for the laptop. Crashed and don't have a recovery disk

Got a Probook 6450 b that crashed. don't burn the recovery disk so need to recovery disks. tried to order online, but the site does not deliver in my country of origin.

Have a friend who has a probook 6450 b but a processor 2.1 GHz and Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Mine is Wondows 7 Pro, 2.4 GHz. can I use its on my laptop recovery disks?

How can I get preinstalled HP software back?

Tell us about the hard drive crashed.  You can link it to your desktop and make a check disk on it? Which can make new bootable.  If you don't care the utility partition and recovery being installed (you really won't need if you download and make the disc), and then download it here (you might put in your key Microsoft 25-digit Windows 7 Pro code):

  • Using recovery discs that have been put in place on another PC

I have 3 computers HP Compaq Pro SFF x 6200.

I have only created a disk of recovery for one of them.

Now, I need to restore the other two PC (they no longer have the available recovery partition).

How is the Windows 7 numbe series registrations affected if I restore this way or if it is not serious. Should I do a sort of regstry edit to change the serial number later?

    Thank you

    Monk

One set of "Recovery disc" made on a specific model / product number should work on any other computer in the same exact model / product number. While each computer can have a unique Windows product key on the COA affixed to the computer, this key is not used by HP to activate Windows.

HP and all the other major computer manufacturers generally use a system known as OEM SLP (System locked pre-ignition). This system allows many (dozens or hundreds of thousands) computers to be preactivated by using the same exactly OEM SLP key and OEM SLP certificate with a corresponding SLIC table in BIOS of the computer.

You don't need to change anything, because that's the way the process is designed.

  • Upgrade SSD using recovery discs: warnings?

I would like to start by saying that I am pretty technology-challenged, then kindly appreciate if authors of response could use short and simple words with me.

I have a 8460p with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Elitebook. I want to upgrade my HARD drive of 320 GB for a 500 GB SSD. Instead of my current HARD drive cloning, I decided to do a new installation on the new SSD. I don't have a Windows 7 disc, but fortunately, HP includes a recovery with any purchase of Elitebook disc.

However, I have read elsewhere that using a recovery on a disc SSD is a bad idea because it will lead to "problems of alignment." Well, to tell you the truth, I have no idea what this means, but it sounds bad.

Yes, I wonder if it is safe to put in my SSD boot on my recovery disk and install Windows 7 like that.

On an unrelated note, I read a lot of guides on the installation and optimization of SSDS. They say all the different things, which is a little intimidating. (Some people even say to ignore that these guides because many of them were written long ago, back when SSD was still in their infancy, and SSD of today do not need to be optimized.)

In any case, is one of the things that all the guides say to use the AHCI mode, which is an option that I'm supposed to be able to find in my BIOS (I haven't checked, so I do not know!). My question is: when I should change it to AHCI mode? Before leaving my old HDD and installing my SSD? Or after putting in the SSD? Everything I know about AHCI is that it is supposed to make the SSD run faster.

Thanks for all the helpful tips!

    Clarissa

BIOS of your laptop are already set to default AHCI, you need not worry about this. Problems with SSDS come to use a SSD that is smaller than the smallest drive available on the series. In such cases, the recovery discs are confused. You propose to use a 500 GB SSD, so it shouldn't be a problem. Personally, I wouldn't do the factory restore. Instead, you can download an OEM of Windows 7 version that corrresponds to your license. Is - this Windows 7 Professional? It must be the same version, because you will use the key Code on the bottom of your laptop to turn it on. This is a link to download a completely legal, correct recovery disk OEM Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit:

    http://MSFT.digitalrivercontent.NET/win/X17-24281.ISO

It is an .iso. This can be burned to a DVD disc can be used. Return ticket if you have questions, but Windows 7 with a disk image utility that should allow you to do or a software like Nero burning also will burn an .iso on a disc. You can't just burn the .iso to a disk image file. It has integrated Service Pack 1 so you can avoid this first huge update. You can copy the laptop hard drive swsetup folder and it will have all the drivers and software pre-installed. You can also use Windows Easy Transfer to create a file that will restore the files and the browser settings and preferences. If you need assistance.

  • Satellite L300-1AQ - how much of the necessary recovery discs?

    Dear all

I would like to know how many drives recovery requires my laptop L300-1AQ (model number PSLB8E).

I have a disc I made when I bought the computer but I can't start using up to this I make sure that only the disk is necessary (if more than one disk is needed and I begin the process of recovery, I believe that I have will make the computer unusable). I know that recent Toshibas are delivered with several DVDs so it certainly worth my checking before doing anything.

Oh and the recovery partition is gone due to an 'aggressive' installation of linux, so this isn't an option for us (it's the new user is a windows user).

I cannot find this information on the internet or in the manual, so I would be grateful if anyone out there has this information.

    Best wishes to all

    Hi DiodePrridge51b,

Possibly 1 drive only Toshiba recovery disc creator, you need only 1 recovery disk to restore to factory settings.

It s, always according to the model laptop and OS how many records you need, but if only 1 disc was required there s enough and begin the installation of recovery. :)
