How do I enlarge an image (especially SVG)?

I've always worked with Photoshop (CS3). However, I just upgarded to CS cloud and you want to learn how to work with SVG images.

Apparently, I can't open SVG with Photoshop images, so I open them in Illustrator and then export it to a format that I can use on the web (usually .png or .jpg). I guess I should be able to publish images in .svg format to the web, but I do not understand how to work with them again.

In any case, many of the SVG images that I opened in Illustrator are the size of the white rectangular area in the center of the workspace. If I save as a .png, they are often 200-300 pixels wide, when I want them to be 500 to 600 pixels wide. So, how to expand them? I typed "expand" and "resize" in the help, but have not found anything useful.

Of course, I can expand the .png, but they often become distorted. If I understand correctly, the SVG files don't get distorted when they are enlarged, right?

Also, what is the best way to select a certain portion of an image and enlarge it?

On a sidenote, I tried to export a SVG image in TIFF format, and it took forever in the process, ends up crashing my computer.

When you select your SVG file open, you will see four small boxes at each corner of his "encompassing". A matrix is the scope that the objects include if placed in a rectangle.

If only one (or more) objects is selected by clicking on an object, but not all objects are selected, this means that the objects are not grouped (and not need to be).

So, from any object, click on and hold the left button of the mouse and drag above or around all the objects and release the mouse button. You will now see in the four corners of the bounding box. Click and hold the left button of the mouse and press the SHIFT key. Now drag the mouse, and all objects will scale larger.

Note that you can use the "Export for the Web" command from the file menu and type in the pixel dimensions you want for export you as a PNG image. In other words, no resizing in Illustrator may not be necessary.

There is a checkbox called "Clip for work plan" in the Web dialog box. If it is selected, the work plan everything is exported (probably not what you want) and a part of the objects that extend beyond the artboard (the white part that you reference) "cut" on board. No, that just extensions of the art will be exported.

    The simple answer to that question is cannot perform an extension without some loss of quality, even if you do it work with an enlarger in a dark room with old film mode, there would be losses, but it's a matter of how noticeable is the loss and the movie was until the invention of the multi-mega pixel much more lenient than digital media cameras.     I think you are referring to the pixel grid that shows extreme enlargement. If that's what you're talking about, go to view > view and uncheck the grid in pixels
