  • conversion index global index local

Hello guys, someone tell me how to convert a global index of a local index.
The only method I know is to
    1 remove the global index
    2. create the index even with the local keyword.

I was wondering is there any alter index statement which allows you to change the overall index to a local index?

    Thank you

    Lacotte,

Small correction was need here that the partitioned dba_indexes column will only be "indicates whether the index is partitioned (YES) or not (NO); While op asks how do I know if it is a local or global index. So for that he must check the below command:

    SELECT INDEX_NAME, THE LOCALITY OF USER_PART_INDEXES;

Column of the locality of user_part_indexes ' indicates if the partitioned index is local (LOCAL) or global (GLOBAL).

  • Qosmio F30-117: how to calculate the Win Vista experience Index Graphics score?

My F30-117 has a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 of type graphics card. WIE gives a score of graphics of * 4.9 based on the following information:

399 MB total available graphics memory

How Windows Vista and other software will perform on your computer.
As I know the Windows experience index scale varies from 1.0 to 5.9.
A higher base score means that your computer run better as a computer with a lower score.

I don t want to explain the characteristics of everything because there are a lot of pages useful Microsoft that already provides this information:

Its a total scam. Uninstall their software and then perform a system restore before you install.
Change all your sensitive passwords at all sites - e-mail, Bank, credit cards and others. (Do not
on the computer compromise and it would be better to do it on the phone or in person.)

You can even restore your system to factory fresh to make sure their software violates not

  • How can I know which files are accessed more so I can move them to another drive

My C drive is constantly busy and is indexed to 100% much of the time.  My swap file is on my S drive and its activity is very low. How can I know what is causing all the readers of the activity on my C drive so I can move some things my S, or other?

I realize it is not easier to simply move the files, I might have to reinstall some applications or other things. But for now, I don't know what are the files or applications, roll to the top of the activity on my C drive.

You can use performance monitor. Type perfmon in the "Search" box and press "Enter."

Open the drive section by clicking on the arrow

To identify individual files in more detail, you will need the Windows Performance Toolkit

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/performance/cc709422

    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/performance/cc825801

Download as part of the WIndows SDK from here:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/dlx/en-us/listdetailsview.aspx?FamilyId=6b6c21d2-2006-4AFA-9702-529fa782d63b

Select this option for components you need.

There is a video on the use of the tool here: http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/PDC/PDC09/CL16

At a glance, use Process Explorer to identify the source of the e/s:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896653

On the file menu, click "show details for all processes."

On the view menu, click on "Select columns" and check the deltas of reading and writing.

You can also use the process monitor:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb896645

This will show you the operations of individual files so the amount of data will be huge. If a Visual inspection reveals anything, you can export the data to a csv file and use a spreadsheet to a total activity for each file.

It is likely that the indexing or defrag or some other service is running. You can use the Task Manager to check. [Press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC as a way to start it.]

For what is something wicked (you never know with certainty what 'they' might do), make sure that your antivirus software is up-to-date. Install a good as a basis for security from Microsoft (free) or Kapersky (not free). Also run a check by MalwareBytes (free version) or another alternastive good.

Don't forget, everything simply because you're not paranoid doesn't mean that nobody is trying to "help".

I'm kidding a bit. All the best.

    Hello

Could be a background task such as defrag or indexing.

Click with the right button on the taskbar - shows - processes tab - Task Manager which is running.
