How do I record an action and save under the new name of file - automatically?

SO, I want to create a droplet that converts a batch of photos in b & W and records them in a different folder with the suffix "bw".

Is this possible?

Thank you

I use the version 2.3.0 and you can get it from Russel Brown Scripts page Page of Scripts.

By the way, you are probably trying to use the file > Scripts > Image Processor. Image Processor Pro will be available from the file > Automate menu and tools > Dr. Brown Services > Image Processor Pro in Adobe Bridge. Watch the video tutorial on the page that opens when you click the link above. Video and download link are available under: Adobe Photoshop CS5 panels & Actions/CS6/CC.

  • How can we call save them and save under the action of a plugin?

    Hello

    I want to call the Illustrator save and save under the action of my plugin, is I want to force the user to save and save as operation through my plugin.  After you save the active document using my plugin, I want to get its path, it is possible to do it using the SDK?

    Thanks in advance

    Farida kaid

    You can call Save in a few ways - through the Action Manager (AIActionManager.h) & PlayAction() for one. There is a call from WriteDocument() on these forums who would also do the trick (I think AIDocumentList.h, of AIDocument.h if not there).

    If you want to "force" users to use your plugin, I think you're wandering into dangerous territory. Its probably not a good idea for a plugin to usurp control of Illustrator record capabilities. I mean, you can do little by playing with the call of AIDocumetn::SetDocumentModified() and tricking HAVE thinking that nothing has changed, but I do not know what other side effects that would have. Others have tried, then maybe it works for you. Yet once, search the Forum and you will find details.

    To get the path after a backup, AIDocument.h has a method for this: GetDocumentFileSpecification().

  • Script to record an action that will convert the sRGB to CMYK file, then use the action in a script to support the process of a folder full of images?

    Is it possible to save an action to convert from sRGB to CMYK, then use the action in a script to support the process of a folder full of images?

    Do action, and run as a batch of PS (file > Automate > batch), or bridge (Tools > Photoshop > batch).

    Pay special attention to all the 'destination', 'save' and 'close' steps. You want to save a copy without overwriting the original, which can easily happen.

  • Action to save to the same name but different Format

    I have thousands of RGB JPG images to deal with on a particular project.  Basically, I have to make a selection of certain areas within each image in the water and then save on a black and white GIF that shows the areas of white water.

    I created an action that fills the current image of black, my selection of loads, it fills with white, saves the image and closes the file basically.

    It works OK, but not as well as I would like.  In particular, the file save game.

    If the file is named filename.jpg... I want the action to save on the n/b as filename.gif GIF.  Without question and without changing what whatsoever.  But I can't do that.  It appears registration of dialogue and puts in the argument filename "copy copy" etc. (I read this topic elsewhere) and also in question is the usual GIF of the dialog boxes.

    The "Close" to the action part also asked "if I want to save my changes, etc." ... I don't want all this to be.

    Is it possible to have it do what I want?

    Mike

    Speaking to the command prompt "save changes":

    When creating the action, Dungeon recording via the option 'No' on save changes menu. These preferences are saved in your action and it will close your jpg without you asking them to save.

    When converting a jpg to gif file, it always saves as filename.gif; Photoshop never puts a "copy" in the name of the file.  How do you save your files?

  • Shared copy actions and objects with the new settings

    Hi all

    I have a problem with objects and actions. Here's the scenario:

    I have a sentence where some parts are written in an informal way. The user is to type the words in the sentence, he or she thinks are informal, and they are highlighted. The user can click a button "submit" at any time, and if all the correct words have been highlighted, they receive a correct message.

    To achieve this, I have given every word click two boxes (one for in and out), a highlight box and have created common actions for the latter to work.

    When I copy the Group (the two click boxes and highlight box), actions are copied too. However, the parameters of joint actions continue to point to the original and not a copy. So my question is...

    Is it possible to copy objects and their associated common actions and include the settings of the shared actions change to match the newly copied objects?

    Thank you for your e-mail. The solution was indeed that the Captivate version was not updated (it was 7.0.0 something, as opposed to 7.0.1).) After updating, the problem no longer occurs. Thank you very much for your help!

  • Why all my scans want to save under the same name of the old file?

    Whenever I'm doing a scan, he invites me to save the scan to an old file that I used several months ago!

    How can I get rid of this file name and replace it with the word "scan" as it did when I first came to this printer?

    Hi joanne322 and welcome to the HP Forum,.

    I understand that you do not want to change your default scan file name. I'll try my best to guide you in this.

    If you have not created your new analysis file, please create one.

    If you have the old Solution Center follow these instructions: click on Scan - click on change settings - click on save to save the file Options - go to the save location and click Browse and locate your new analysis file and click - click OK

    If you have the latest version of the wizard of the printer, follow these instructions: click on scan a Document or a Photo - click advance settings - click the Destination tab - go to the save location and click Browse and locate your new analysis file and click - click OK

    If it does not you could please send me your model number so that I can better guide you.

    I hope this information can help, let me know how it goes.

    Thank you

  • upgrading to windows 7 and lost bookmarks - the location/name of file would be under Vista so I can find it?

    I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 - Favorites IE installs fine but not the bookmarks of Fire Fox. What the name and the location was under Vista so I can search the hard drive for them. Yes I should have saved them but until it's too late for that now.

    They are stored in a file called places.sqlite in the profile folder. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox for more details about the location of the profile folder

    The profile folder is normally hidden, make sure you have configured Windows to display the hidden files and folders.

  • Save the file with the new name (no rename)

    Is it away when open the file and after changing to save under a new name in order to have the original and edited files in my documents?

    Hi plammca,

    I regret that there is no option to save a file with a different name after the change. However, there is a workaround that you can try.

    • Select the file you need to make changes.
    • Create a duplicate file and then rename it.
    • Now, you can make changes to in the file duplicate.

    Let us know if that helps.

  • Repeat the action and save the file

    Hello

    I'm having a fever and is trying to accomplish something that seems very simple not knowing anything about scripting.

    I made an action that applies to some simple effects (blur, threshold and high pass). I want to do is to repeat the action of n times and save an additional for each repetition png so I find myself with a sequence of files numbered from the action more applied (as in this example, Photoshop Cs5 filters Animation on Vimeo).

    After som Googling, I ended up using AppleScript and was able to repeat the action for as many times as I want, but I'm completely stuck on the file save game. That's what I have right now:

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    say application 'Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.5'

         set Starting point to current document

         set theFilePath to path of the file of current document

    Repeat with n from 1 to 10

    set myFile to theFilePath & ': output: image ' & { n channel } & ".png"

    do "CrazyAction" of "Default Actions"

    { Save document in file myFile as PNG with options { }classPNG save options interwoven:fake} :

    end Repeat

    end say

    In case someone comes up with the solution I also have another related question: How can I make sure that the output file names will have a padding of the number? Ideally, I'd end up with image2.png and so on, rather than image1.png image001.png, image002.png.

    Thanks in advance!

    One of the things you can do with javascript you can not do with applescript is to use the scriptlistener plugin. This plugin is put into the photoshop plug-ins folder, and when he's here (you don't want to leave it there all the time) it will record about everything you do, kind of like an action, but it generates the code in a file on your desktop. I used it for recording an action to save the png and running. The parts of the code are in the functions in the script. So I just created a folder name of base, a base file name and a counter of departure. The script will then execute your action and save a png image in this folder and change the name of the base by the counter file increases by one each time. You must put in the name of your action and the name of the action as defined in the script.

    #target photoshop
    var fileName = 'myFile-';
    var folderPath = new Folder (Folder.desktop +'/action test/')//create whatever path you want here. Make sure the folder exists!
    var doc = activeDocument;
    var counter = 1//counter for changing the filename

    for (var i=0;i<4;i++){//Change number 4 to whatever number you want it to repeat + 1
        runMyAction ("twirl", "Chuck");//put in action name and action set name. This line can be duplicated for different actions.
        savePNG ()
        counter++
        }

    function runMyAction(myAction, myActionSet){
        var idPly = charIDToTypeID( "Ply " );
            var desc25 = new ActionDescriptor();
            var idnull = charIDToTypeID( "null" );

                ref8.putName( idASet, myActionSet );//Changed to a variable
            desc25.putReference( idnull, ref8 );
        executeAction( idPly, desc25, DialogModes.NO );
        }

    function savePNG(){
        var idsave = charIDToTypeID( "save" );
