  I guess that you are referring to cross-references to other documents or external files, because everything within the document will always work. You can't prevent it. It's like a link to a file or a folder on your drive HARD or on a network.

  As soon as the file or folder is changed (moved, renamed), the link is broken and useless.

  I'm new to flash cs5 and do a flash program to simulate the interactions between aircraft. I have two objects, leftplane and rightplane. Then I symbols (don't really know what they are called) who have different interpolations. For example, I have my leftplane in the timeline panel, I double click it to bring up the leftplane1 which has a tween, and then I double click again to bring up leftplane2 which has a different interpolation. I want to trigger animations for these interpolations of buttons, which I already inserted. However, I don't know how to call these separate interpolation to trigger. Currently, I'm doing:

  leftplane2. Play();

  I have error 1061 indicating ' call for a stop of the method may not defined through a reference with static type class. " Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  Looks like you have as children of aircraft plans.  Based on what you have explained that you need target the inner planes through the plans off...

  It looks like not your mistake has to do with the code you show.  I feel that you have a class and you try to use a stop(); order for it.  You use a stop for a timeline/movieclip symbol, not a class.

• Move the controls the façade of a VI. How do you get a reference to a whole "grouped" controls?

  Fundamental problem (boring, if not disastrous - but common - at least for me):

  When you try to two sktick different screws together and you copy the block diagram from one to the other, it sticks all the controls in the middle of nowhere.  Then, you will need to spend about 10 minutes by dragging controls to the screen from one end of the diagram to another - sometimes more than 15 screens.  Surely, there must be a better way?

  * Either by the way, you might think that labview would have this kind of parameters in the 'properties' of the control in the right click menu - but not joy.

  I guess the obvious thing is that you can write a VI that will get a reference to a particular control, then say together, that is the position (x, y) to zero.  The only thing is that generally, there will be a selection of controls, and often they will be organized nicely - after bring them to zero that you don't want to rearrange their new.  I tried grouping, controls, but then the problem is - how to get a reference to a group of controls.  If you move one of them it does not keep the spatial arrangement.  At this point, I lost - and easily spent more time that should fix this problem.

  Any thoughts?

  If I understand you correctly, when you copy the block diagram of the second VI in the first, the controls of the second end of VI place far-field on the left on the front panel of the first, correct?  I think that these added controls will maintain their relative positions between them so you should be able to find them all as a group in the left field. Then it's all just a matter of how to get them enmasse to the rest of the controls on the front panel. There are some easy ways to do this. There is a button on the toolbar at the top of the front window that allows objects to resupply/group/dissociate the façade. You can select all the orders/lights out in left field and ' ' together them. (As an alternative, you can also drop them all on a tab control that will serve as a container for them). Then you select this group and with selected scroll back on to the existing façade and search and select (shift) ALSO a control/indicator to group existing too. Then with the TWO existing of the selected control and the new group (or a tab with the new group control) selected using the ALIGN buttons to quickly bring a corner of the new group in the alignment of the old control. At this point, you can unlink the news and move it where it should be.

  When I deployed earlier versions of Acrobat, I simply added in Transforms = filename.mst to the command line so that the changes take effect. With creative cloud conditioner and Deployer of Exceptions command-line syntax, I'm not clear on how to call the .mst file during installation. Is it still possible?

  Currently, I use the following two commands:

  • exceptiondeployer.exe - workflow = install - mode = pre - installlanguage = en_US
  • MsiExec.exe /i Acrobat_x64.msi

  While normally I would add the syntax to turn to the second command, it does not seem right in this case that the transformation is a change of the MSI, which is part of the folder 'exceptions '.

  Yes. Envelope or Wrapper classes. I tihnk I also saw "primitive wrappers", but not quite sure.

  Hi all

  I have a MainVI and I want to call him a Subvi in parallel so that I can have both windows open and sensitive at the same time.  The Subvi can be closed and then reopened any number of times, but only one in existence at the same time.  I know how to do it using the reference VI opened, offering a path relative to my Subvi, check to see if its already running and if so bring window to front (using front panel: open with entries True/Standard method) and if not run it using the Invoke method: Run (and eventually open its façade by program).  This method worked very well.

  Now, I've added functional global variables in my Subvi, and I want to keep in memory inbetween opening Subvi window.  I can do this by placing a copy of the functional overall in my MainVI, even if I do not here for nothing.  It works very well.

  By chance, I came across a reference to a static reference of VI, which resembled a great improvement in my method, for the following reasons:

  1) Subvi keeps in memory all the time, eliminating the need to put the functional overall in MainVI when it is not used it.

  (2) tells the LabVIEW to include the Subvi when I build my executable, rather than me having to specifically mark as always include in the build specification.

  (3) eliminates the need to continue the path and the name of Subvi updated in a constant string in my code, in order to use the open VI reference.

  However, in trying to implement this solution, I ran into the problem that once you put a reference of VI in strictly typed static (strict typing is necessary to keep in memory) on the block diagram, that VI is reserved for execution.  This means that I can't run it using the Invoke method: Run.  I did not just put it on the diagram directly as a Subvi because I need it to run in parallel to the MainVI.  I searched through these forums extensively, and although there are several references to a static reference of VI, none of them say explicitly how to actually run this 'thing'!  : PEI

  I greatly appreciate any insight into my problem.  If I have to go back to the old way it works perfectly, but I really like the apparent elegance of this solution.  I hope that it will be technically possible, and I'm not bad understand something.

  as mentioned in another thread (http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&thread.id=390355), I have a main vi with a stop button and a under vi, who needs a few seconds to complete.

  During the execution of the Sub vi, I want the stop button in the main vi take effect immediately, which means the sub vi must stop immediately.

  I know that I can exchange data between screws somehow by a call to reference, but all the examples I found, to transfer data from the sub to the main vi vi, but I want the other way around.

  Given that I've never used the call by reference, I have no idea how I can do it.

  Attached you find, what I've done so far.

  I would be very happy if you help me and show me how to use the call by reference correctly.
