When I double click on a folder, a search window opens automatically.
When I double click on a folder, a search window opens automatically instead of the usual view of Windows Explorer that displays the contents of the folder. I must in order to display the contents of the folder, right click and select open, then I can see the contents of the folder. What setting do I change to stop the search engine to open and have the regular Windows Explorer mode appear? Oh, when I right click in the folder, the search option is bold, but the open option is regular.

Hi, I want to migrate thousands of images of Aperture library 3.6 to Lightroom and when I double click on Aperture App it won't open. I'm on OSX Yosemite 10.10.5 and I keep the nearly 200 gigabytes of photos on a separate hard drive so I can get more old photos looking at the content of the package and by copying and pasting in a recovery file, but it will be painful and very long. What do you suggest me? I thought that Aperture 3.6 was supposed to open at Yosemite or El Capitan? Thank you bripoppamac44
and when I double click on the App opening, it does not open.
What happens, when you try that? You get an error message? If so, what error?
Opening 3.6 works well with Yosemite 10.10.5.

When I double click on a folder, it opens in a new window.
Original title: Folder Options
For some reason there is a few weeks my records started to open a new window every time I double-clicked on one. The settings are set to open in the same window, and I also missed and still the same. A friend told me that "" Windows 7 how it works "but I know that is not correct because it was ok and it is ok on another PC W7 I have."
I feel for you, I got mine located on open in its own window because it makes easier drop and drag in different places, but changed to open in the same window and it works as a single window is already open at the same time.

I studied a lot of information to solve this problem, but whenever I click on my drives in my computer or folder, it comes up with this error message. No matter what I do, the error remains. The strange thing is,I can click right and always open folders normally with the "Open" option, it's just that Ican't double-click on a folder and access it using Windows Explorer. I think it might be a virus or something, but I'm not a computer expert. Anyone know how I can fix without wiping my computer?
I tried the things:
(1) I have SystemSuite Pro 10 (2009), so I used that to try to scan deep and does all the options I could. I found 4 Trojan files in my files of java for a reason, but I deleted them.
(2) some sites suggest a problem with the registry, so I tried the fixes for those who did not.
(3) I had a system checkpoint to restore old and just tried to restore my computer to that, but the problem persisted.
(4) I used guest trying to access Windows Explorer and some of my other files, but the error message comes up again. It seems impossible to access Windows Explorer.
Please help me. Although it is a small problem, I really like my new computer to stay in the best shape possible and not have to do a right-click on each folder just to open it.

I went to the Adobe site to download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11.4.402.278). The download was successful. However, when I double-clicked on the file in the download for Firefox, it did nothing. The file security warning dialog box does not appear. I don't know what is happening. Y at - there someone who can help me?
The download location by default on Windows Vista is the record of downloads, under your user folder. You could try to close Firefox and check there to see if the Flash installation file has been downloaded... If you see it, double-click on the file. If this does not work, try again:
After you download the file to install Flash on your computer, open the downloads window, right click on the file you downloaded and select "Open containing folder", then take it out of Firefox before running the Flash installation program that you downloaded.
See Flash Plugin - keep up-to-date and solve the related problems to the title of the update of Flash... There is a link to download the Offline Installer, if the normal download does not work.

Why the content of auto-scroll in Windows Explorer when you double-click an element?
Why content (columns) to auto-scroll in Windows Explorer (on the left) when you double-click an element? And how can you stop that?
How to reproduce:
-Open a Windows Explorer window
-Big enough to be able to see the columns 2 and 3
Double click on an element of the extreme right or the last column
-All content automatically scrolls to the left so that the column of the element double you clicked is now in the first column of the windowIt is REALLY BORING because it causes bad clicks when it scrolls or to always click 4 times to open a folder or a file if it is located on the far right or the last column.
