How do you manage file types in windows 7?

How do you manage file types in windows 7? There was a tab for it under XP folder options. If I can't solve the problem I will downgrade to xp and back to windows 7.

Tab file types has been removed in Windows Vista & Windows 7 and replaced by "default programs". If you need to customize the type of file to a higher level associations (for example, the addition or the change of a supplementary verb in a class file), you need to maybe use a third-party tool or change the registry manually.

If you have a specific requirement, pls after return.

    The bkf files are specific to the Windows XP Backup program and may not be
    used in Windows 8.

    Your only recourse is to find an XP system and to restore bkf files
    He can use a third-party program to save them, so that they can be
    restored using this program on Windows 8. Or instead of a third party
    backup program, if you don't have too much data, you can simply be
    able to copy them to a CD, DVD or thumb drive so they can be copied
    the machine to Windows 8.

    Hello

    1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

    How do you manage the Username and the password?

            WSBindingProvider wsbp = (WSBindingProvider)purchaseOrderService;
            wsbp.getRequestContext().put(WSBindingProvider.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY,
                                         "https://prc-XXXXXXXX.oracleoutsourcing.com/prcPoEditDocumentOrder/PurchaseOrderServiceV2");
            wsbp.getRequestContext().put(WSBindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "myUsername");
            wsbp.getRequestContext().put(WSBindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY, "myPassword");

    This doesn't seem to be a very safe way to manage the usernames and passwords.

    What is best practice?

  • How can I remove topic of file Type in Windows Explorer?

    How can I get the title of 'Type' of the track without having to move out of the site whenever I have access to a folder?  I can see the file simply type by looking at the extension of file and/or icon, in order to have a column dedicated to tell us the file type is not significant and placed automatically between two useful columns is just stupid - and the user have means of obtaining useful information permanently removed ' Type' column.  STUPID!

    Original title: how IE8 to open a .tif file by using the Windows fax and picture viewer?

    Hello

    I suggest that allows you to remove any CLSIDS listed under location:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT Type\image/tiff

    Note: Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
