How give high range prints?

I have an I - Mac OS x 10.6.8 with Photoshop CS5 12.0 x 64 c v. My old version of Photoshop allowed me to make prints top of range. IE: I opened my image > print with preview, go to show more options > profile: SP Premium Glossy PK etc... where I could take paper sizes, type, dpi, speed, etc. I don't have this capability on CS5. Just let's me print. What should I do to have access to all of the above?

I'm sorry.  It is not called Options.  He called 'Print Settings'.   Also you should post in the Photoshop forum, not on the Photoshop Elements forum.  Photoshop Elements is a different product.

  • How to change the resolution of a photo in photoshop for high quality printing?

I am confused about how to check the actual resolution of an image in Photoshop.

I understand 72 DPI is set for the web and 300 DPI is normally required for high quality printing but how do you check the dpi in Photoshop. When you go to the size and resolution of the image, it is always in pixels (ppi)? Is it the same thing as the dots per inch?

For example. If I open a photo in Photoshop and the resolution is 72 dpi can I change this at 300ppi so that's 300 DPI when it goes to print?

Also is there a way to check the resolution of a picture that has been placed in indesign or illustrator without opening the image in photoshop?

    Thanks in advance

You should check up to resample it for any nationally - or down.

If you want to convert to CMYK, you must use the correct profile, the results may not be as expected.

CMYK profiles are dependent on the device - the press is either calibrated to a known profile (which may be available in Photoshop), or he has a profile, which you would have to get the printer.

If you want to print an Indesign document, the recommended workflow is to export to PDF and converting CMYK when the pdf file. The CMYK range is smaller than RGB, so unless you're aware of this, you will have a few surprises.

You cannot print very saturated colors with CMYK and blues often come different looking than RGB.

If you configure the Color PS with CMYK (workspace) profile settings, you can (work in RGB) press Ctrl + Y and get a glimpse of what will look like colors in CMYK. You can even edit in this mode, tweaking colors, but of course limited by the CMYK range.

For all this to work and get good results, you must have a calibrated monitor, and it helps it of course to have a good printer, who knows what she's doing. And, if possible, be there during printing. Printing on an offset press is not like printing on your desktop printer - there are much more variable.

  • Hello, I'm trying to export jpg high-resolution printing

Hello, I'm trying to export jpg high-resolution printing, 3000px.

    2 questions:

Should what settings I do for this export?

How can I check what size he is after export?

In Mac Help, Lightroom 6, no cc.

    current settings under:

    image resizing

    resizing to fit - enabled

    3000px long edge

    Resolution 300pixels by thumb

    do not enlarge: checked

    Thanks for the reply

also if a request for a photo output is simply, ' high resolution jpeg, 3000px ' would be - that give what I need?

It is an unfortunately typical piece of nonsense about what you need to submit a photo. This is a meaningless statement. You should ask for details. It might be, they don't really know what they want, or they can not properly express what they want, or that they are so poorly informed about digital photography, all they tell you is nonsense.

How can I check which is the number of px?

If you choose to export with long edge to 3000 pixels, you should not check. I just accept that Lightroom has given me what I asked. But if you check, your operating system can tell you the size in pixels.

  • How to set the printer wireless ad Hoc mode to CP1025nw with automatic stop is off? IE never automatic.

How to set the printer wireless ad Hoc mode to CP1025nw with automatic stop is off? IE never automatic.

Thank you very much for your help, if necessary.

Quite a few questions, send, but I will do what I can to answer them.

I recommend first to buy a router, even if it's one you won't connect to internet and it network with others your PC and printer. This will give you the best features and the results of what you're trying to do.

In addition, the automatic stop of the printer function can be disabled and is not affected by the type of connection. Usually, you can go through the configuration Menu and select tools to change the options there on the energy saving features.

Finally, the auto off function on your computer is a Windows question, but one easy answer. If you're on a laptop, you can right click on the battery in the tray (lower right corner) and change the settings for energy conservation.

You might be better off installing the printer via the USB cord and alternately inspiring when you use it, but which is not optimal if you are printing only a few documents on an irregular basis. A network connection is the easiest to manage across multiple computers, honesty, but you have certain requirements for this connection and limits as well.

I hope this information is useful!

  • Print to PDF, high quality printing. Creates .ps instead of the PDF file

I want to create a PDF (from a PDF file) using Print-> Adobe PDF. I chose that properties-> high quality printing. This used to create a PDF document, but now he wants to write it into a .ps file. How to change that? I saw a question/answer older who said uncheck "print to a file", but I do not see this option.

Click on the Advanced button in the print dialog box and make sure that "Print to a file" is not checked.

  • How to resize the print size of an item within my PDF to multiple pages? For example a receipt or another image that can scan in bigger or smaller than my 8.5 x 11 Bill?

How to resize the print size of an item within my PDF to multiple pages? For example a receipt or another image that can scan in bigger or smaller than my 8.5 x 11 Bill?

    Hello

In the print dialog box, you would get options to resize your document.

Try them and see if that helps.

Once you choose the print option, it would give options to change the size of the page you need.

Please check and see if it suits you or not.

  • How to adjust the print margins in Firefox on Linux 17?

How can I set print margins in Firefox on Linux 17? There is no margin setings in layout, or in the print dialog box. About: config, there are sets of settings called e.g. printer_Print_to_File.print_margin_top etc., but also the print.printer_Print_to_File.print_margin_top etc, but when I try to set these it seems they zero to 0.5 when I print something, and the print margins are always the same. In previous versions of Firefox, I managed to adjust the margins by typing about: config, but that changed in a recent version.

    Hello

I can confirm that I have the same problem on Firefox on Linux 17. Except that preferences do /not/ / giving to 0.5.

We could try to isolate the problem. If you have another printer to try, then you can try it and see if the margin settings also get ignored. (It may be just the PDF printer that ignores them).

On the other side, this PDF printer has worked for you before, please file a bug in Firefox. https://developer.Mozilla.org/en/docs/Bug_writing_guidelines

  • How to restart the print spooler in Wnidows 8

The print spooler is a service that is built into most Windows operating systems. His job is to help control print jobs and interact with the printer. Problems with the print spooler are blocked in the queue of print jobs.

Sometimes the print spooler stops working or was an error to occur. The following video shows how to restart the print spooler service in Windows 8.

For similar problems with printing try printing HP and the Scan doctor. It is a diagnostic utility that can sometimes find and solve printing problems. Find and fix common problems printer using HP Diagnostic tools

I hope this helps someone who has problems with their print spooler or who needs to restart. If someone has a problem to restart the print spooler let me know and include your computer model number and that you use 32-bit or 64-bit of Windows 8.

  • How to use the Print Screen function?

I've seen various descriptions of how to use the print screen function.

It would be nice to actually tell one that works.  None have worked for me.

[Fn] and Prt SCr does not work.

CTRL and Prt SCr does not work.

CTRL, Alt, and Prt SCr does not work.

[Fn], Ctrl and Prt SCr does not work.

If anyone knows the correct method to activate the screen capture function which would be a good thing.

From the looks of things, HP has a big problem with this function.

Here's a microsoft articleon the use of the screenshot function.

    This should answer your questions.

  • T790 Designjet: How to run roll print of unknown length?

I was sent a MS Visio file today. The file is a flowchart sales. I tried to print on a sheet of size D (24 "x 36"). Text is too small to read and size cutting a part of the chart. I need to know how to configure the printer to allow this flowchart to print 24 "wide roll entirely. There will be some trial and error to determine what size I need to print in order to read the text.

    Hello

Try to save the file as a PDF and print from Adobe.

Or. Create costume paper formats and look at the preview in Visio until u get the correct size.

There is also a preview before printing in the printer driver. Use it so u don't waste paper or ink.
