HP Officejet Pro 8600 - impression of evil

Hello

I just install my new printer, the HP Officejet Pro 8600. It is configured and connected to my network. However, when I go to print a document, the 'Send Fax' window is displayed. If I cancel the window my document won't print. Can someone shed some light on what I did wrong, or what I need to do to fix?

Thank you

Spartan2422,

Is the default value in the Control Panel, the devices and printers defined on theHP 8600 printer, not the Fax.

Two weeks ago, I set up a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more using two USB & ethernet cable connections... Everything works very well on all devices - iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro, Win7 desktop PC and portable Win7... until the printer goes to sleep.  We does not display every day, so it may be a few days between printing / scanning.

As I kept an eye on to do this, it has happened twice now, it may take a few days before the printer is unresponsive.  When laptops Windows 7 need to print, the printer does not respond until what feed us the cycle.  The INVESTIGATION period has not changed on the printer and the software HP Update says that everything is up-to-date.

From what I can tell, other devices - Win 7 Desktop, iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Pros seem to be the problem.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 - cannot print from my macbook pro

We just bought a new HP officejet pro 8600 but for some reason, we cannot get my macbook pro to print on it. My mac says it is connected to it. It is listed in the printer only and all the settings look fine, but when I send a document to the printer, it will not be printed. He did print the first day we had (a week ago) but it stopped and we cannot figure out what to do. My daughter's PC will be printed, as well as the pc of my husband. It is the first time that I had problems printing to a hp from my mac. Any thoughts?

I had my Officejet Pro 8600 about six months.  Recently, I had the same problem.  It continues to print from my Windows computers but not the Mac.   Labour goes into the impression that it is place on a wedge.  I tried many fixes, including the removal of the printer and reinstall.  Usually removing and reinstalling it will fix for a while, but now, even that does not work.  In my view, that the permanent solution is to buy another printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Printhead question

I bought the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus about a year, and recently the impression was very bad.  I have a lot of horizontal gaps in the photos (color and b & w) as well as in the text.  It is not as crisp as it was when I bought it first.  I use it to write contracts and lately, had to go to the local Kinkos to print that it is not acceptable to give to a potential customer.  I installed the ink HP geniune.  I have tried cleaning the print heads through the tool on the printer, but also download and trying to solve the matter through 'hardware diagnostic tool.'  I always feel the lines of streaks / missing.  According to the report stage of my printer, I only printed 1 266 pages.  I have a hard time to believe that after just as many pages the print head has been overworked or put in his time.  I looked up the cost of a new print head, and at almost half the price of a new printer, I have a hard time to justify the expense.  I really like the printer and won't replace it.  I hope it's just a defective print head that may be covered in some way, or could be replaced at a more reasonable price.

Opportunities, ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

I should probably post that I had contacted HP, even if the printer is out of warranty.  I think what saved me was that I was able to pull up my impression of total, I think it was a little more than 1 000.  Obviously a very small amout of draw has been done during the time period.  They were able to send me a new print head, with instructions on how to replace or envelope pre-paid to send the back of an old man.  Touch wood, no problem since then, and I know I have printed a lot more during this period without any problem.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Macbook Pro and Macbook Air does not print

    Products:

    • HP Officejet Pro 8600
    • MacBook Pro (Mac OS X, Version 10.7.5)
    • MacBook Air (OS X, Version 10.8.2)

    Question:

    • Why my Mac initially print fine, but now will not print?

    Full article:

I have a wireless network in my house that consisted of a 30 MB cable internet, Netgear 900n, HP Officejet Pro 8600, 2 laptops from Dell with Windows 7, a laptop Lenovo with Windows 7 and Dell with Windows 7 trick, all printed matter very well.

The HP Officejet 8600 was added to my network about 2 months ago.

I added a Macbook Pro and Macbook Air about 3 weeks ago.  The two Macs printed fine for about a week.  Then suddenly they stop.  I spent about 2 hours on the phone with HP's Service, and finally, they said to my router.  So I called Netgear.  NETGEAR was useless!  They wanted me to accept fees for services before they would even discuss the issue.

As a result of information provided by the HP support service, and because Netgear will not support their product, I quickly bought a new router - an Apple Airport Extreme.

Macs will recognize the printer will print if connected via a USB cable, but do not print wirelessly on the Officejet Pro 8600.  The fine impression CPA.

The frustration that is felt is made up by the fact that Macs printed very well with the Officejet Pro 8600 2 weeks and now the printer shows just "idle"... even with a new router. (see image below)

Please help, thank you very much for all support.

As a side note, the representative of the HP Service was very friendly and definitely tried to support the HP product, which is much more I can say about Netgear.

    Thank you

    Hello

More likely a problem with Multicast, which Apple devices are relies on to communicate with the device through the network.

First try unplugging the router for 30 seconds.

Connect to the power supply and wait 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the HP printer and turn it back on, then check all difference.

If it persists, try to change the configuration of your router as follows

Note: the settings below are not related with the HP product, I provide you with the steps as a best efforts and those based only on my own knowledge. You can try to change the settings of the router at your own risk:

    1. Open the router configuration page (you'll find listed as the default gateway by clicking the icon on the printer wireless, then print a network configuration report.
    2. Click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click the configuration option in the menu, and then click Setup WAN.
    4. Be sure to uncheck the box Disable IGMP proxy transmission and apply the changes.
    5. Click on the LAN configuration on the same Setup menu.
    6. Set the RIP RIP-2 Version and apply the changes.
    7. Restart your router and then check any change.

I hope that you will find useful information, you can also use the guide to the user below for more information:

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 appears twice in the selection of drop down menu printer with each of the different names.

    Hello!

I recently acquired an Officejet Pro 8600 and immediately connected to my network wireless as stated in the manual. No other type of connection has been used beforehand and the operating system is Windows 7 64 bit.

After that the installation of the printer driver appears twice each time that a program asks me to select a printer from the drop of the printing devices in the typical menu of preparation of printing.

There is an entry for "Officejet Pro 8600 (network)" and something in the sense of 'HP95CDN' (Officejet Pro 8600). I can't remember the exact names off the top of my head, but it is the name of the printer with the 'network' in brackets in one case and a kind of shortcut ID printer with full name in parentheses in the other case.

According to the program, one of the options gives the desired impression while the other simply causes a queue of indelible impression for the name of the unit in question that is stuck to a few KB of data transmission.

Usually printing works with the device with the identification of the printer in its name, but I recently had a case where with LibreOffice printing only works with the other choice.

Can someone explain to me exactly means?

    See you soon,.

    Pete

Direct entry Wireless will be visible under menu so direct wireless is on... However, since you are able to print another icon (not the network icon) I assume direct wireless is off coz you will not be able to print from wireless directly on the printer if you are connected to the router.

I believe that the icon of the printer (not the network icon) has a port WSD assigned and is automatically detected by the operating system and installed.

Go to service window and check if you have any input that says function Discovery Provider Host and see if it is started. Try to stop the service, and remove the icon of the printer (not the network icon) in the print server properties.

Restart the PC and check if the icon comes back or try to uninstall and reinstall

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: HP Officejet Pro 8600 not printing pictures

With the kind cooperation of RnRMusicman and other knowledgeable people here, I could solve virtually all the problems I had Windows 10 to my HP Officejet Pro 8600, work flawless long since I bought it and while I was using the Professional Windows 7 operating system.  I was able to solve the problems of scanning and printing.  I should say that I can NOW print letters, notes, etc. I wrote on WordperfectX6, scanning photos, documents, etc. without any problems.  However, today, I tried to print photos of two 2 'My images' files and everything seemed to go OK, I got the display window to ask me how many, what size, photos etc I wanted to print and I clicked on print, then got another window showing the progress, but there was absolutely no response from my HP Officejet Pro 8600.  I tried to unplug and plug in again, restart, using the HPPSdr.exe and telling me everything is beautiful - but of course, this isn't.  When I tried to choose in the menu to go online to more possible solutions, I still said that I am not connected to the internet.  I hope I'm not overstaying my welcome to these forums.  It is a serious problem, I want to overcome since I have to print photos from time to time for projects.  Thanks in advance to you all and know that I am very grateful for past assistance which has solved MOST of the problems.  This one I didn't know until I tried to print photographs, lol.  As I said the OTHER impression, as WordperfectX6 is absolutely no problem only photographs.  Even looking at the "see what's printing" I do not see the ORDERS that I sent to the printer.  It is completely empty.  Thanks again.

First of all, I do not deserve the title of "Guardian", lol.  I had adjustments and is raging after the upgrade to Windows 10 trying to do my job of Hewlett-Packard Officejet Pro 8600 (blah, blah blah).  I tried all kinds of recommended patches and nothing has been done, or he helped briefly and then the problem resurface.

Feeling totally beaten yesterday, 2 November 2015, I deleted every single file from HP, fix, program, diagnostic tool ALL.  Then I unplugged the printer from your telephone line and plug its USB connection to the computer.  It was 19:00, 2 November 2015.   I then dug around and found the original set of the instructions that came with the printer when I bought it on amazon about two years ago.   Left on my desk, resolved to do battle with these unbeatable hi-tech "monsters" overnight.

This morning, November 3, 2014, at 6:30, to feel refreshed and ready for battle, I discovered by accident that my DSL provider, century link, had a firewall (in addition to one already, I have in my software) so I advanced and off to see if that would help.   I just reconnected it on the printer, BUT this time I have not re - download HP software.  AND HERE, my Officejet Pro 8600 works again!  I can print from WordPerfectX6, I can print some photographs-YAY!   The only thing I'm still not able to solve must be able to print the pages of the internet.  For example, I tried to print a page of amazon.com and when I went to 'print' I was delivered to a Fax template.  This happened also when I clicked on "Print preview" - but I can live with THAT.  So, I walk away from the battlefield until I totally lose my sanity and tell me "that's close enough," lol

Another by-product happy to remove the firewall of the century-link, which I didn't even know existed, it's NOW, I was able to receive updates from Dell, which had previously been cancelled/blocked, ostensibly by this firewall 'stealth' of my DSL provider which I didn't even know existed.

Thank you!  To you all, who tried to help and who actually HELPED thanks to your suggestions.   Who would have thought that do not try to download HP ALL and eliminating a firewall that I didn't even not existing would solve 99% of the problems.  Thank you, Hewlett-Packard to also operate these forums!   They are EXTREMELY USEFUL!

  • How can I get my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more to scan a full legal size paper?

How can I get my HP Officejet Pro 8600 more to scan a full legal size paper? He cut scanning letter-size, but the specifications say it will scan the legal size.

    Hello

The analysis of parameters need to be changed to HP Scan App. launch of the HP scan application from your computer and select the option left (PDF or JPEG...) and then choose the size of legal scan on the right.

    Save and close the application.

Now you can scan in legal.

    Note:

You can also create your own settings for scanning HP scanning parameters.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus - ADF scanning problem

    Hello

I recently bought this printer and used without problem for almost 2 months. However, right now I am struggling with the ADF.

When I put a document to scan by ADF, I have a thin, black line on re-impressions. It is on the right side of the page, starts from everything at the top and goes down all the way.

I have even if it is a kind of alignment line (you know when we write try, or its composition, leave us space on both sides)

This problem does not exist when I scan and print documents of old school way, aka analysis usual. Only the ADF documents'ed have this problem a little. (The thin black line on things reprinted)

    Any recommendations?

    Best regards

Update: I did what jason_h suggested in step 1 and it worked, this can be closed:

  • My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 will not analyze superior at 300 dpi of the location of the single document.

My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 will not scan more than 300 DPI when scanning individual photos on the glass plate. I do not use the document feeder. I use this printer wireless on an iMac and a PC.

    Hello

You can pass the value of hp scan: launch of the demand application, select the shortcut to scan (PDF or JPG to the left) and change the resolution you want and save.

This will send down the printer settings. So the next time you scan, the printer uses these settings.

    Good impression.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 more printing envelopes chemistry

The normal printing process seems to work perfectly, only when printing envelopes #10 they live I have the problem with the crooked not printing any way how the envelope is inserted according to the Setup (Microsoft Word).

To date, the following steps were taken:

    1. the version of the firmware is up to date: CLP1CN1322CR

    2. all the rollers are clean and act freely, no paper jams/particles anywhere - front or rear.

    3. the envelope seems to come out all right (looking directly at the front that it falls on the paper tray.

    4. different types of envelopes #10 were tried.

The twisted print template is not consistent, sometimes it low angles differently and sometimes the implementation of the address of the sender and the recipient are different.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    PROBLEM SOLVED

The result is: READ THE MANUAL

I had been assuming (incorrectly) OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus would print the same as my previous HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 envelopes.  This model allowed me to print envelopes by putting on paper envelopes, I already had in the tray, put the envelopes on the side right side down.  He had always worked before with no problem and the envelopes printed correctly, even if you could use the status bar and adjusted the sides to accept the correct envelope size (never tried).

On the 8600 model, you MUST remove any paper in the tray and load the envelopes in the Center, adjusting the sides to the size of the envelope.  In ADDITION, you must insert the face or envelopes down with the edge of the flap that is pointing to the right, a bit like the graphics on the bottom of the stage show.

IF YOU USE MS WORD TO PRINT ENVELOPES AND LABELS, IT MAY BE CONFUSING BECAUSE IT SHOWS 6 POWER AVAILABLE, IF YOU CHOOSE THE ((QUATRIÈME DE LA DROITE) METHODS, IT SHOWS THE ENVELOPE IN THE MIDDLE AND THE EDGE OF THE FLAP FACING RIGHT, THIS CAUSES THE IMPRESSION OF BEING UPSIDE DOWN ON THE ENVELOPE.)

That's what you should first read the User Guide (manual) for for the 8600 printer printing envelopes:

Print on envelopes (for Windows, p. 39)

    Load Media (p. 24)

    Load the envelopes (p. 25)

  • HP officejet pro 8600 more random print the unreadable text

    Hello

I have a problem with a newly acquired HP officejet pro 8600 N911g. When you print the document, some pages are filled with unreadable text instead of the original text (e.g. ' eft! bdujtop! dpssf-wcy TPQ! QSF"). It happens whenever I have print the same document, and sometimes on a few lines of certain pages.

When the same issue occur on the same page, that's exactly the same gibberish (so it isn't random text).

Here is an example of an impression goes wrong in the middle of a page.

The printer is plugged in and the PC is wireless.

I tried to launch HP print and scan of the doctor, he did not find any problem.

He tried to print with another PC, same problem happened. My OS is Windows XP with SP2 32 b.

The printer model number is N911g, the product number is CM750A and the number is 22241.

    Any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks in advance.

Normally, this means that there is a problem with the radio wireless on the router. It may work fine for everything else for now, but it could be losing signal slowly, that would not be noticed by most of the things until the signal was almost gone. Signals of printing and scanning signal, for some strange reason, I've never even had explained to me, get back on it lose everything first and suffer the worst. I try to search for the firmware updates that may be available for your router, as it may just be a firmware issue that causes a light signal lose. If that does not resolve the problem, I would look in get a new wireless router.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 all-in-One connected as network printer loses connection

In December 2011, I bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 all-in-One to replace an Officejet 6500 as my network printer home. The 6500 worked very well on my cable, but his screen did not, I tried some of the features offered by the 8600 and I got a good price on a new warehouse of BJ. I have the 8600 connected via ethernet (not wireless), with a static IP address. All my computers on the network are running Windows XP Pro SP3 and are up-to-date with Microsoft updates. However, from one day to the next my 8600 will lose connectivity scan (Scan of the computer shows it as being disabled on all my computers at the same time, and I can't reconnect), and if I do not have anything he'll (as in a few hours) also lose connectivity impression. The only way to restore connectivity is to uninstall the HP Officejet Pro 8600 device software basis of all computers, and then reinstall the printer. I had a phone conversation and two debates with HP Technical Support; They suggested that the problem is in the firewall on the computers (but if that were the case I don't think that the loss of connectivity would occur on all computers at the same time), the IP address setting (doesn't make sense) and the printer driver is not not the latest version. I tried all the suggestions, and none of them have solved the problem. The last counselor "has raised the issue to the next level", which proved to be a Manager with no technical expertise and his only suggestion was that I have to return the printer to the merchant. I think the problem is the firmware in the printer (which, according to the 'update' on the printer option, is the latest version). Any other suggestions or experience?

After a lot of research and find the settings that I did not know that Windows XP offered, I found that the following appear to have solved the problem I've known - at least the printer is now operational for more than 48 hours without losing printing or scan connection. Here are the steps I used:

    1. Start Control Panel  connections network and Internet

    2. Choose "network connections."

    3. Right click on "connect to the Local network.

    4. Choose "Properties".

    5. In the top window is the name of the Ethernet computer connection port, select "Configure" next to this window

    6. Select the tab labeled 'Power Management'

    7. Uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    8. Select the "Advanced" tab

    9. Select the entry "power saving Mode".

    10. If this entry is set to change 'On' to 'Off '.

    11. Select 'OK', and then close the windows that were opened

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium ADF analysis convex/Fisheye results

Not only do I have to deal with random vertical lines on the digitization of documents in format pdf, I was out buying this AIO believing that I will be able to scan above 300 DPI using the ADF. Why is this NOT advertised? I also notice that the ADF scan results are tilted, so I have to manually turn the resulting page (and this always leads to fuzzy edges because of anti-aliasing). I read where the use of the 'PDF' indexable parameter will straighten the scans, but the text is rendered evil and statements blurred and faded. Other than that, the real printer/copier works great; the part of scan is terrible (and that was the only reason I bought this printer).

Now, my current complaint is when you scan a document with horizontal lines, these lines are not only not right, they are curved (like a fisheye effect or the lines are convex in shape). I tested several ways; I open the pdf file with Photoshop and after recovery of the document, I use the tool rule to mark both ends of the line. When I look at the center of the line, it is not in accordance with either of the end points. It's like the center of the page was pushed toward the inside of the lines causing a bit for not being straight.

Everyone has noticed this or know what I can do to fix this? It seems that this printer has many problems with scanning.

    Hello Shan-Dysigns,

It seems that you have many questions related scanning with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium, they will have vertical lines, jump of twisted lines are curved, etc..

This document from HP: vertical stripes, lines or streaks in the Copies, faxes or Scans mainly covers the vertical lines and food issues.

To seek to solve looks curved to the scans, just appear like that during the ADF or flat glass in this way as well?

I would like to allows you to check the updates of the firmware of the printer: get the latest Firmware and updates, so please make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet: questions when it is connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power should help explain why.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 for all other regions, click here.
