How Lock/disable fields during the loading screen?

Hello

I'm looking to 'lock' or 'disable' everything on the screen whenever I call setStatus(). The concept behind this is I want to use setStatus() to tell the user when loading the screen is. While it is loading, I don't want the user to be able to do anything. Is there a specific way to do this?

Thank you!

crush the onClose returns true, this will disable the closing screen. no need for the navigationclick or the keychar then.

  • Windows Vista starts only with the loading screen

    Original title: Problem with Vista Business

    I have a pc with vista professional in this regard, there is a problem with the windows and it does not start, just on the loading screen. The machine came with a disc of recovery for xp only. I'm trying to find a download of Vista business so I can fix it rather than having to restore to XP. Anyone know where I can download it?

    Hello RussellNolan,

    It may be possible to solve this problem without having to reinstall the operating system.

    What exactly happens when you try to start normally?

    Let's start with the safe boot mode:

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

    Data recovery, if/before you reinstall:

    1. slave of your hard drive in another computer and read/save your data out there.

    2. put your Hard drive in a USB hard drive case, plug it into another computer and read/save from there.

    3 Alternatively, use Knoppix Live CD to recover data:

    http://www.Knopper.NET/Knoppix/index-en.html

    Download/save the file Knoppix Live CD ISO above.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm
    Download the Vista software from the link above.
    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.
    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.
    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.
    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.
    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.
    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.
    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).
    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.
  • Windows 7 Boot stuck in the loading screen
    Hello
    I have an Acer laptop, I don't know really how and when it started there is 3 of us using this computer, but now when I open my laptop it get stuck in the loading screen "starting Windows." It is not frozen, it's just stuck there. And in order to enter the actual Windows operating system, I have to first press a key.
    It could be things possible cause?
    Here are some solutions I've tried based on my research on the Internet:
    1 uninstall Antivirus.
    2 reset the BIOS.
    3 chkdsk all discs in safe mode
    4 scannow command, he had errors but did not say what that
    5 edition msconfig and do a clean boot with no start-up of the thread and MS services only.
    I hope someone can help.
    Thank you
    Hello
    What button do you press; F1 or F2?
    If so, check if the Date and time is correct.
    If she is not and again become incorrect after reset correctly, then turn off machine, then turn again, it's a battery CMOS failed in the motherboard, the origin of the problem.
    See you soon.
    Hi all
    Please help me for the below raised concerns
    (1) having the blackberry bold 9900 that freezes several times. He stuck where I worked to get resolved from this question in general I removed the battery from the handset.
    (2) but now after placing the battery, he got to reboot and it's still stuck on the loading screen is. This happens several times
    Please advice for the same
    First of all, how long took. I remember waiting nearly 30 minutes once. It was a strange event, but others have reported similar occurred odd, waiting any longer.
    If the BlackBerry is really wrong at startup, follow these steps: start in safe mode. http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB17877 immediately do a full backup. Delete the app or apps you recently installed. Remove all the other apps that read do not need. Reboot and see if the problem persists. If so, you can start in safe mode and remove additional applications and test again. If the unit starts up, add the applications that you need and restart as a test.
    If cann ot the problem you, do a security wipe and to test, and then restore backup and install apps. If the problem comes back after restoring the data, then you will need to determine what database is the problem. If the problem persists after erasure security, and before you restore, a clean operating system install using the desktop software.
  • How can I re - open the Welcome screen?
    What I found is on disabling it, but I like it - a little like bridge.
    In any case – how can I re - open the home screen after I opened my first document?
    Thank you
    Hi Andrew
    I'm glad you like the Welcome screen. But, welcome screen will appear only when no document is open in the application.
    But again, you can enable the recent files Panel when you do a file > open or Ctrl/Cmd + O instead of open the OS dialog box. How it works - first time you launch Open (file > open or Ctrl/Cmd + O), recent files Panel appears, but if you want to see the OS dialog instead, you can again (second time) file > Open or Ctrl / Cmd + O while the recent files Panel appears and this will open the OS dialog box.
    To enable this workflow, you can go to preferences and select the preference to opening of the salon "Recent files" Workspace file.
    Im not that warned with animation in FW, but I'm assuming it would be a
    animated gif format.
    When you turn the image, the actual file or the path is not so much the
    important thing, making sure that you have correctly linked to the image
    destination on the page.
    When you upload to the server, make sure that you keep the file
    structure of your local files. If you use dreamweaver to ftp and you
    have set properly your site in dreamweaver, and then download the image
    your local site files should maintain this structure.
    Hope this is useful
