I back up my files to an external hard drive using windows XP sp2. My pc crashed and re installed with Windows XP sp3. Now I can't find the backup on the system tools utility. How can I restore my backup files. Help, please.

    Hi PML.

Yes, I used the built in «Back to the top of the tool» Unfortunately I don't have the CD. My Netbook is a HP mini computer that comes with Windows XP home. Thank you for your help and I hope to hear from you again.

How do you reinstall Windows?  If you have used the HP Recovery system to recover from a hidden partition, backup should have been reinstalled.

  • How do I restore the backup from iPad Mini if the button "restore backup...". "is grayed out?

    Hello

Yesterday, I tried to downgrade my iPad Mini 2 (128 GB) of 9.3 to 9.2 of iOS in DFU mode. Before that, I backed up my iPad in iTunes. After decommissioning, apparently all of my 3rd party apps have been wiped out, and that left me with a huge 'other' part of the use of the iPad. So I decided to reset the iPad and erase everything. I noticed that after the reset, the iOS returned to 9.2.1.

When I plugged the iPad to my computer later, and tried to restore the backup, I got the message "the backup cannot be restored for iPad because the software is too old". In addition, in the iTunes iPad summary page, the button "restore backup... "is grayed out.

I guess it's because I backed up my iPad to iOS 9.3, and now it's 9.2.1. But y at - it another way to restore backup of iTunes? Or do I have to update to 9.3 first? iOS 9.3 is currently unavailable (last week it was, however).

    Thank you!

You cannot restore a more recent iOS backup on a device that has an older iOS. You have saved when running iOS 9.3 and your device is now in 9.2.1. You must update the device until backup, you can ise. Unfortunately, as you know, the update is no longer available. Apple shoot because there were significant problems.

  • PSE 3 How do I restore incremental backups

Need directions to restore a backup of Photoshop elements 3 when there are incremental backups.

This seems like it should be in the documentation, but I'm not.  Help docs only seem to explain the restoration of a full backup.

I did a full backup with 3 PSE and have also made several incremental since.  I'll put it all on an external USB hard drive, with each backup (one complete in a single folder and any incremental Interior fully his case, but in its own subfolder).

If I had to restore the whole catalogue in the future, should I start by restoring the complete catalogue and then go back and restore each incremental backup on top of what I already have?

Or do I have to start at the last incremental and restore it first.  And if I did it, PSE automatically restore all previous incremental backups from that point AND the initial full backup?  Or I have to go back and restore those manually?

    Thanks for your help.

    Terry

You start from the last incremental backup and backward for the full backup.

PSE will ask you for each disk or each folder if you use an external hard drive.

Make sure that your java is up to date. Also try using firefox just to rule out the question of the browser.

  • How to create a global inbox for Thunderbird on Windows 10?

I just installed Windows 10 and Firefox/Thunderbird. On my old system (Windows 7 and Windows Live Mail), I had four e-mail addresses: one is [email protected] and three with [email protected]. Windows Live Mail combined of incoming emails to all four addresses in a combined Inbox. In you bird, can I combine all the incoming mail to these four addresses in a single mailbox in you bird? How?

For a true global Inbox, you must configure all your accounts to use a POP connection, and in each account, there is a setting to use the global Inbox under local folders. This setting is not available for accounts using IMAP.

An alternative that can work for you is to simply switch to the view | Records | Unified. It doesn't care if you use POP or IMAP.

But view | Records | Unread works very well for me. He maintains the separate accounts but collects all new unread messages.

    Hi dontknowit,

Thanks for visiting the site of the community of Microsoft Windows XP.   If the files have been saved in a different directory from their original location, you will need to follow these steps:

    (1) open the backup or Restore Wizard.
    2) click Next , and then select restore files and settings.
    3) click Browse to open the Open the backup file box.
    (4) click on Browse and Select the catalog file to dialog box appears.
    (5) select the backup file, and then click Open. (The name and the path to the backup file are now displayed in the dialog box, Open the backup file .)
    6) click OK in the dialog box, Open the Backup file . It is added to the list of backup files in the backup or Restore Wizard.
    (7) in the list on the left, expand the different backup files, and select the drive or folder to display the details of the backup in the right pane.
    (8) select the files or folders to restore from the list on the right.
    9) click Next to view a summary of the restore operation.
    10) click Finish. The Restore in progress dialog box appears.
    11) click the close button in the Restore in progress dialog box.

  • How can I restore my dV7 HP Pavilion with windows Vista back to factory without Vista disc condition.

  • How do you return to the main Thunderbird Linux window when it opens in a local folder?

I see no possibility to return to the main window of Thunderbird 31.1.1 under Fedora 20. It always opens in the same local folder (the only tab displayed in the menu bar "File edit view...") as I was reading before "closing session." yesterday. I tried to restart the computer. Help would be appreciated.

I think that you do not see the account folders pane.

In, View menu | Layout and check the Folders pane.

If you do not have a menu, hold the < alt > key and then press l (lowercase L).

The folders pane shows your accounts and their records and IMHO, is essential to navigate around in Thunderbird.

  • How can I copy the address book Thunderbird from Windows to Ubuntu?

I use Windows on a Pc 8.1 and 14.04 Ubuntu on the other.

I think the best way is to export address books needed of the LDIF files on the first machine and import the LDIF files on the second machine.

Alternatively, you can copy the files from *.mab data from one machine to the other. Two default address books are represented by abook.mab and history.mab and can be simply copied. Other user-defined address books will be designated as abook1.mab etc. and will have to be imported. I'd say MoreColumnsForAddressBook for this task.
