How reduce size photos in Aperture?

Hi, I use export to reduce the size of the photo.
Export Version > Edit > align with...

Please note, opening will remember the last export, so export again in the original format, you have to restore.

  • photo from Aperture book printing

We can no longer order books photos in Aperture with the Apple eco-system. One says "the possibility to order books, cards, calendars and prints is no longer supported in this version. Upgrade to Photos for OS X on the agenda". The problem is then forced to completely redo the photo to the (relatively inflexible in the opening) help book Photos of models.

Apple has stopped support for the products printed for Aperture and iPhoto, at the end of March, it's true.

Only products created in Photos for Mac will now be printed by Apple, and opening with custom layouts books cannot be migrated ly without loss of Photos.

A way to get opening books printed is to print the book in PDF format and send this PDF to a different service.

See the link below on how to save the PDF file for printing with PrestoPhoto post by PrestoMeghan:

Im having two problems (if you exclude being computer delayed!) I know not how to send photos and videos by email that ive taken via my dell webcam, in addition, after using the webcam, ive fidddled with assistance or something because the screen is now almost completely black when I click on the webcam icon and try the video or taking pictures, pls help

    Hey Martina 1982,
To attach files to your email, simply click on the play icon attached once you have the message at the top (the icon is generally that of a paper clip).
This will open a window that allows you to browse (look around) for the file that you want to send.
Find this location of file on your computer and click it to add it to the window and select OK.
Depending on the size of the file, it loads a few seconds and then you will see the file attached to your email.
Finish the email as usual and send.
    Here's a quick link:

You can also do a search on 'How to attach files to send' for more information.
Now regarding the display options or absence of Cam you, I would say communicating with the dell printer.

  • Should I still low size photos for my Web site?

Hi - I'm doing a website.  I don't know--or at least I think I know - you should down-size of your images for fast loading times.  By example, if I have a picture which is 3800 x 3800, 2 MB in size I always in low size it may be 1000 x 1000 and about 150 KB or more.

I know we like think "everyone" has a fast web connection, but I don't think that is always the case and with mobile phone, you must take that into account too.

A colleague working on another site asked me what I thought of his library.  She had a thumb nail, and when you click it, it opens like a box effect to light.  A great photo is 1200 x 1200 and 1 MB in file size.  I did point out to her that she might want to enlarge the photo and if she wants to keep the 1200 x 1200 fine, but she may want to reduce the size of the file.  I got up to about 180 KB and sent them to his side by side.  She said she worried about the quality (I honestly didn't notice anything either, but maybe his eyes is better than mine).

I know that there is always a Catch 22 of 'quality vs. file size.'  So with all that said, I just request links, opinion, and so forth on this subject.  I also tried explaining that phones do not always have excellent connections to the downsizing should be taken into account.

Should I continue to reduce my photos as I've been as described above?  Or it most important - I can take a 1 or 2 MB per photo and just use that for my web image to display in a photo gallery?

Any thoughts, links to articles, etc., are appreciated.  Thanks, Guy deaf

You should definitely continue your current workflow. When properly processed, you cannot tell the difference between a 1 MB file and a file of 250 KB to 1200px. And by proper treatment, I mean using save for Web in PS or export from Lightroom, using the proper compression.

And, as you point out, everyone is not on a fast connection, and there is no reason to use more bandwidth bandwidth (and storage) as necessary.

  • Need help: Acrobat Pro XI - reduced size PDF vs PDF optimized

I hope that some of you people can help me, I can't contact Adobe customer service.  I've recently updated to Acrobat Pro XI.  In my old version of Acrobat Pro, I used to be able to take a large PDF file (let's say 10 MB) and shrink considerably down with relative ease (less than 1 MB).  The file could then be easily sent, share, read, and especially don't take tons of hard drive space.  With this new version of Acrobat Pro XI, this same file of 10 MB barely reduced up to 7 or 8 MB.  I played with different settings in either the file-> save as others-> PDF of reduced size and File-> Save As-> optimized other PDF.  No matter what I try, I can't reach anywhere near the same compression results than what I used to be able to achieve with my older version of Pro.  I can get the file size reduced, but the reduced quality of the file is trash.

Has anyone else has this problem as well?  Anyone of you have any suggestions on what to do to fix?  I have mainly to scan a document in PDF with my HP OfficeJet Pro and then reduce the size of the PDF file after the scan.  I could scan the document with DPI lower initially (currently scan 300 dpi in grayscale), but then I have not the quality of the scanned image I need to reduce the file down so that it can later be reprinted at a good enough quality.

Leonie... I could have thought of it!  Don't have time to play with it now, but try this out.  Open large PDF you want to shrink in size.  Go to view-> tools-> processing of documents.  There should be a toolbar that opens on the right side of the screen next to the document.  One of the selections will be in PDF format to optimize.  When I did, I got a 12 MB document reduce less than 1 MB!  You can play with the slider to choose a smaller / more low quality vs a bigger / better quality.  I don't know why they hid this feature here, but I think that's what we are looking for.  I highlighted the command and dragged to my main toolbar to make it easier to access next time.

Hope this helps!  I would like to know how it works for you.

  • How to remove photos from my iphone6s after their importation?

How to remove photos from my iphone6s after their importation?

    Hello KConstant,

I understand that you're looking to remove photos from your iPhone, after you import the to your Mac. It depends largely on how the images are imported into your Mac.

If you use iCloud photo library, remove photos from your iPhone, after they have synched to the Photos on your Mac afterwards would remove these photos on your Mac as well, like iCloud photo library is designed to synchronize your iPhone with iCloud and Mac.

However, if you are importing photos via the USB port of the Photos app, you should be prompted to delete pictures from your device once the import is complete:

Once the import is complete, a message asks if you want to delete or keep the photos on your device. Click on remove items to remove photos or click on keep items to keep them on the device.

You can also (it not allowed you iCloud photo library on your iPhone), you can use the image capture on your Mac app to delete images from your iPhone. This can also be useful to remove the last images that have already been imported into the Photos on your Mac. Once you have selected the images you want in the Image Capture, you can click on the prohibitive red symbol () to delete the selected items.

  • How to remove Photos from the iPhone/iPad/iCloud and no pictures

How to take a photo with my iPhone/iPad, allow it to synchronize with Photos on my Mac via iCoud, then delete from my iPhone/iPad/iCloud and removes any Photos on Mac? I want to save the photo on your computer and save space on small devices?

I keep seeing articles on the iCloud market turn but it seems the photos all return on the devices once restarted. I want to iCloud on use as a conduit to get the photos to my computer, not as a large storage space. I want the Photos app on my Mac where all the photos are filled and stored and choose those which is left each device.

Right now they are all in the pictures on the Mac, but I'm worried if I remove it from my iPhone/iPad that they will disappear from Photos on the Mac. I don't understand the new Photos app with all the missing features of iPhoto.

    Thank you!

You can not that's not how works iCloud photo library - it is not a conduit but a total synchronization service whose entire raison d'etre is to keep libraries connected identical - all changes made on any device (addition, deletion or modification) are made on all devices. For devices with limited memory, using optimized photos

If this isn't what you want then use another service - USB import, iTunes sync, MyPhotoStream for example each do different things and everyone can move photos from one device to another

And Photos lack a lot of features iPhoto form - in fact much more features than iPhoto including iCloud library there like a bigger and better editing capability and better external editing capability and so on
