How the computer name of the domain?
I want to know how to create the domain of computer name in the unattendant.xml file.
Hello
ImageAssist offers three main options to set the name of the computer. You can define them in the 'Computer name' section of the Unattend XML creator tool interface. The options are:
1. Invites the user to manually enter a computer name on each client (only for Windows 7 and 8.1 images and only when the no membership not automatically a field);
2 - having the name Web on each client computer.
3 create a custom name: this may contain up to 15 characters and include the number of the customer.
If none of these options suits you, the Configuration service offer other possibilities of customization while deploying the image at the factory. These opportunities vary according to your geographical area. Please contact your local support center local imagery or your Setup Services project manager for more details.

Could you please confirm, you get the error message and either when adding domain in the file > export to HTML or file > download on FTP host option or if there is another place, you are referring to?

Getting the domain name of the computer Client using WebUtil
Hi guys,.
Is there a way I can find the domain name of the computer running the forms using webutil.
I use WEBUTIL_CLIENTINFO. GET_HOST_NAME to get the client computer name. I also need the domain name.
Thank you!
AnandTry this:
message(CLIENT_WIN_API_ENVIRONMENT.GET_ENVIRONMENT_STRING('USERDOMAIN'));
I think that if no domain is defined, it returns the host name. In addition, this obviously won't work on Windows clients.

How to get the client computer name database?
Hiya
As part of the authentication of the user of our application, the requirement is that if a user is connected from a machine, the same connection of can not the user to different machines at the same time.
In Forms6i, we had accomplished this by using the following query:
Select the Terminal
Session $ v
Where username = v_username
And v_terminal terminal <>;
Where
v_username = USER-> Oracle Forms reserve Word
v_terminal = Client_Win_API_Environment.Get_Windows_Username
In Forms 6i, the column Terminal of V$ Session used to return the name of the local client computer.
However, in the form of 10g, it returns the name of the computer on which Oracle Application Server is installed, which seems correct to me.
So my question is how do we get the client computer name of the database in the context of Oracle's 10g? Is there another package of database or view/table that returns the client computer name?
Your suggestions/comments will be much appreciated.
See you soon
MayurWe have implemented the same exact requirement to retrieve the IP address of the client (WebUtil provides a function for this) and write it in the field v$ session.action (this can be done using the dbms_application_info package DB). We are so in shape 10g v assessment $session.action instead of v$ session.terminal.

remove the domain to a domain computer users group
I have installed a computer in the field and that you wanted everyone to sign on the computer. Our policy has changed and now we only want one user to be able to log on to the machine side comes from the admin I've added to the domain to this machine users group after adding it to the domain. How can I remove the domain users of a machine group already in the field, and I don't see the group in the list?
Thank you in advance,
John C Owen
In General, people who can connect to a machine (and are not administrators) are members of the group "users". As an administrator, if bring you up a prompt window commands on this computer (start-> Run-> "cmd") and enter the command:
net localgroup users
you will see the members of the group "users". One of the entries will probably be:
mydomain\domain users
where 'mydomain' is the name of your domain.
All you need to do is remove "domain users" group. From a command prompt:
net localgroup "user mydomain\domain" / delete
Check other groups (power users, etc.) and make sure that "domain users" are not listed in groups either. You can then add your unique user in the users"" group.
net localgroup users "mydomain\singleuser" / Add

Difference in the case of computer name prevents file sharing?
The Vista computer name is tiny, but in traffic on the network. Could it prevent sharing of files between Vista and Win 7 computer? Computer Vista won't let me change his name under "Settings of domain name and the computer working group", and I can't figure out how to change it in the network settings.
Computer names are not case sensitive. It is indifferent whether they are upper case, lower case or a combination. Boulder computer Maven

How the 'registration' identity can be removed when a computer prepares for recycling? I'll give my old PC for a facility that reconditions them. I removed almost everything that could lead to my identity used but I've not found a way to change or remove the name that the software is registered. Any ideas? Also how hard disk would be restructured uning windows home?
Boot from your WIndows installation CD-ROM. You will be able to erase the hard drive from there.

What happens if my computer (XP) joined the domain network?
Hello. I would like to know a little better on the domain network. My computer is currently the Working Group on my home network. I read on the domain network and it is said that
"If you have a user account on the domain, you can connect to any computer on the domain without needing an account on this computer." (from windows help and support)
Does that mean exactly? This means that if my computer joined to the domain, other computers on the same network of domain can access all the files on my computer (the files that I have has not yet implemented to share)? or does this mean that other computers on the domain can connect to my computer as remote desktop? (I do not want that to happen...)
It seems like a lot that the office uses the domain network and I would like to know how it works. I read some articles on the field and how to put in place and other things, but I couldn't specify my question. I appreciate if anyone can help my answer.
Thank you very much.
Hello
Using domain causes a topology around real server (like Windows 2008).
Companies use this topology because of the size of their system and the need for central control.
There is no advantage to using such topology for small home network.
If you use the parameter field and that you do not have a General with your network domain server will not work correctly.
