How the hell can I open this PDF file? !!!

Original title: how the hell can I open this file? !!!

I have files which are "PDF" files, but I can't open them.  What I am doing wrong?

Do you have a PDF Reader installed?

Adobe Reader
http://get.Adobe.com/reader/

Foxit Reader
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/PDF/reader/

Adobe is more "well known", but Foxit is much more compact and my personal preference.

  • How the hell can I do this hour-plus process?

We e-mail broadcasts that have begun to choke our outgoing smtp server, so I need to send small groups at fixed intervals. 1 000 emails in batches of 100 every 10 minutes would take well over an hour which is good for sending, but NOT for the CF Server!

Obviously (to the right)? I can't have a process running this long on the server, so y at - it another way that having a task running every 10 minutes to check what was sent etc etc?

I tried incrementing counters and cflocating a page back to itself after a break with this code and it seems to work, but it's the best approach? :

  • How can I open a pdf file... the computer simply stopped to open, will not restore is

Have always been able to open attachments.  Don't know why, but now none will open.  I tried several times to restore to an earlier date, but that would not go through

I think that a file is missing... so it cannot restore.   Thanks for any help, Christine

If you do not have a PDF reader, you can not open a PDF file. Start by installing this.

  • I can longer open attached pdf files. I am able to preview the files, but they are too small for me to read.

    * Original title: attachments

    Help, please.

    I did something wrong (AGAIN!)

I had no problem with access to attachments to my e-mails, but a problem occurred just.

I can longer open attached pdf files.  I am able to preview the files, but they are too small for me to read.  When I click to open all the I get now is a kind of icon (in Microsoft Office Picture Manager) with which I can't do anything.

It seems I should have arranged for Picture Manager automatically opens attachments to emails, but when this happens, I'm stuck as what I try, I can't do pdf files appear as they did.

The help file does not really help.

I hope it is something simple, even an old fool like me can do with your expert (and, I hope. friendly) help.

    My fingers are crossed.

My apologies if I offended Protocol - this is my first venture.regards

PS My usual guru (aka grandson James) has acquired his first girlfriend, is not so disinclined to waste time me tutoring on the PC

    Create a file association.

    1. download and save the attachment to the office.
    2. right click on the saved file.
    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
    5. Select: (Whatever you have installed a PDF reader).
    6. check: always use the selected program to open this type of file.
    7. click on OK.

This should allow you to open these attachments directly from email address now.

For troubleshooting, you can disable the Protected Mode (https://helpx.adobe.com/reader/using/protected-mode-windows.html#id_94783) and see if that solves the problem. If the problem persists, please re-enable the Protected Mode to improve safety.

  • You don't have permission to open this PDF file

    Hello

I have a new system with Windows 7 Pro.

I can't open any PDF file if they are in the MY Documents folder.  If I use Adobe Reader or Nitro gives me basically the same thing. A setting error warning that I'm not allowed to access this file.

The strange thing is that if the same file is in a different folder (for example public documents) they open smoothly.

It is only when the file is located in My Documents they open and only pdf type.

Any idea how to fix this problem apart from the obvious workaround solution working with other folders?

    Hi Eric,.

Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

    Method 1:

I suggest you to follow these steps to restore the default libraries and see if it helps:

    a. press the Windows key + E to open Windows Explorer.

    b. right click on libraries in the left pane.

    c. click restore default libraries.

    d. check if the problem persists.

    Method 2:

I suggest you to refer to the articles and check if the permissions are set correctly when files are in the documents folder:

What to know before applying permissions to a file or folder

  • 8.2.6/Win7/64 Pro Adobe will not open this pdf file

The pdf file is a roadmap to State and can be found here:

    http://http :// www.iowadot.gov/maps//msp/pdf/transmap.html

I know that the NVA reader 10 (X) under win/xp it will open, but try to open it under win7/64 using Adobe Pro 8.2.6, I get the following message:

    "Acrobat cannot decrypt this doc.

I also know that the 8.2.6 running win xp DRIVE does not open this pdf file, I get the same message as above.

    Any ideas?

The type of security they applied means that it cannot be opened in any version of Acrobat or Reader before 9. They have made a mistake to do this way, in my opinion.

  • How can I resolve after 'save' before I can even open a PDF file?

I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (9.5.5) and a recent arrival update thru I'm no longer able to simply click and discovers the PDF sent, but am now need to save it before viewing.  Is there a simple way to correct this back to the old?  I don't want to just save on my computer; just the items I need.  Thank you

This looks like an update to your e-mail (probably Outloook). You can consider trying a different like Thunderbird mail client. Another option could be to attempt a repair on the Help menu in Acrobat. There may also be a flag in your e-mail client for which application to use to open a PDF file. Sometimes this based on the settings of MS Explorer. The latter can be checked by seeing if you can open a PDF file by double-clicking it in Explorer.

  • How can I change this pdf file? Noob needing help pro

I have to translate this pdf file to Spanish. I tried the following "Advanced-> editing change the text" did not work... maybe they analyzed the file? judge: "document-> ocr text recognition"... does not work either.

I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. I have attached a page of the file I want to edit. Please help me!

Have you tried TOOLS > advanced editing > text editing tool? You will need the fonts on your system to do the editing. You may be able to change the font to something on your system if necessary. The file is the text (in boxes) and the text editor tool should do the job. I managed to change the Arial fonts (not all of them, there are some who are still in the old police who are numbers). I posted the result on http://wadavis.ece.vt.edu/CO2 ophir lenses.pdf. (you may need to replace the spaces with % 20)

  • Why I can't open a PDF file in Safari?

I have not had this problem before, but now when I try to open a PDF file, I have a box that stands up and says I have to launch Adobe Reader and accept the end user license agreement. I don't know what it is and where I'm going to do this... HELP PLEASE!

You need to go to your programs and to launch Adobe Reader and accept the EULA.

How this is done varies according to the operating system. You have not mentioned what OS you have.
