How to access a text file located above web root?

For security, I would like to place a text file with the login above the web root. Currently the file not above the root and is accessible like this:

< cffile
action = "read".
file = "path/file.txt"
variable = "userList" >

followed by

< cfset variables.userList.userArray = listToArray (userList, Chr (10)) >.

If you know the correct path to the file, you should be able to reference simply in the attribute line of CFFILE:

If you need to dynamically determine the path, you can explore CF ExpandPath supplier and similar functions in the category of the functions of the system of online for CF 8 documentation:

  • How to load a text file to a Web page and processes using a Java application?

    My apologies if the question is off topic.

    I want a user to load a text file to a Web page and have a pre-existing Java application, I created the process text file and return the results to the user. The Java application is fairly intensive memory. It is expected that many customers will download at the same time. What is the easiest or most effective method to achieve?

    A servlet and a few gigabytes of memory added to the server (if necessary).

    One faces this question erlier? then helpme out.

    Hello

    1. If your files are located on a remote file system, you will need to copy one of your files to the computer that Designer ODI runs to allow ODI retrieve the metadata of the file information.
    2. in the topology to create a physical schema, the directory you enter data and the scheme of work must point to this local file.
    3. then set the file data store in the designer of the ODI. Enter a name, browse and select the file and fill each deposited the files tab.

    * If it's a fixed file, click on the network icon in the column into the columns tab and have checked auto adjustment.
    * If it is a delimited file, use the reverse button on the columns tab to reverse the columns.
    * Right-click on the Datastore folder select View Data, if you can view the data, which means that store file data has been correctly set.
    * If this is not the case, check each tab of the database file to make sure that everything is set correctly and try again.

    4. once the display data to be successful, now change you directories (data and the scheme of work in topology) to point to the remote file system. These directories must be accessible to the ODI Agent that will be used to perform transformations. The directory can be an absolute path (m:/public/data/files) or a parent in the ODI Agent startup directory (.. files/demo /). It is strongly recommended to use a UNC (regardless of the location of execution) name for the path. Executing transformations "agentless", the directory is relative to the directory where Oracle Data Integrator was installed.

    You must have an agent process running on the system that contains your source file.
    Then during the race, the odi interface choose this agent.

    Thank you
    Fati

    I've looked everywhere trying to find how to access a shared file on my RN212 NAS remotely from another program (kodi) on my iPhone 6 more remotely, away from home. I tried to FTP, UPnP, HTTP, etc. anything and it's driving me crazy! I run the program kodi from my phone for watching videos stored on my SIN, I have a router NightHawkR7000 and believe that I am fairly warned to get this figured out, but apparently not lol I have all the correct ports forwarded, but perhaps I'm missing a step somewhere. Any help on this would be much appreciated!

  • Can someone help me understand how to access such RW2 files saved by my Lumix LX100 in Lightroom 4.4?

    Can someone help me understand how to access such RW2 files saved by my Lumix LX100 in Lightroom 4.4?

    Hi Edward,.

    4.4 Lightroom does not support files of Lumix LX100 RW2. You need at least 5.7 version of Lightroom to access these raw files.

    Or, you can use free Adobe DNG Converter to convert raw to DNG files, and then import the DNG in Lightroom.

    Someone knows how to write the text file in Shockwave on the disc of the user?

    Thanks in advance.

    These Xtras can cause a lot of havoc when used with the intent to hurt.
    What you can do is to write with setpref and store a list of backups and the
    registers itself separately. Next, you need to build your own save/open
    dialog box for the user:
    * Choose a previously saved file to load or replace
    to create a user type the name of a new file to be saved.

    The only thing that remains is that the user can't decide where files
    are saved.

    There is a work around:

    Export your IE Favorites to an HTML file, and then import it into Firefox. If you have questions more do not hesitate to ask.

    Search the site of property to https://assets.adobe.com is coming.

    For now if you have a "ton of files" you are probably also using the synchronization file that comes with the creative Cloud desktop application. You can search the creative Cloud Files folder on your local computer using the Mac OS X Finder or Windows Explorer.

  • Access files outside the web root?

    Hello, everyone.

    Hypothetical scenario.

    I wanted to have a file that would set globally accessible variables to contain passwords, and I want to put this file outside the web root, so that users can not access.

    Logical pathnames of course won't work.  And the cfinclude tag doesn't use physical paths.

    I've never done this before.  What are my options?

    Thank you

    ^_^

    Almost all your CFML files should not be in a directory web-driven!  That those people really are looking for should be accessible web.

    Files must not be accessible to be web - ed or be instantiated as objects, or used as a custom tag.

    FOR EXAMPLE:

    C:\webapps\myapp<= this="" dir="" is="" the="" root="" as="" far="" as="" coldfusion="" is="">

    C:\webapps\myapp\wwwroot<= that="" dir="" is="" the="" webroot="" as="" far="" as="" the="" web="" server="">

    C:\webapps\myapp\includes<= files="" you="">

    C:\webapps\myapp\api<=>

    The only things that should be dir wwwroot files people really browse (index.cfm, etc.) and components such as images, JS and CSS files that must be served to the browser.

    Most of your CFM files must be in a subdirectory of C:\webapps\myapp.

    So index.cfm must be traveled, and it must use the data in secretSecureStuff.cfm which is in understand this respectively.  Then index.cfm is just:

    include "/ myapp/includes/secretSecureStuff.cfm";

    If the file to include is not in the structure of subdirectory myapp for some reason, you can create a mapping in CFAdmin or Application.cfc to point to it, for example:

    /External. => C:\stuff\somewhere\else

    And you référenceriez C:\stuff\somewhere\else\outside.cfm via:

    include "/ external / outside.cfm";
