• No idea how to activate my Windows 7 Ultimate?

  My windows was not genuine, so I bought a Windows key.

  I tried to change the product key, but it did not activate so I had to activate by phone.

  Then I received a message with a link in it to activate my code. After that, windows said that does not match the ID of Installation, so I tried everything again for a second time. Same thing again. Then I could get online support from microsoft, but no sound or anything coming from their side of the phone that lets me return to problem 1. Here's an additional problem, I tried to activate it again by changing the product key, but now after the key is checked it gives me instantly "your windows is not genuine" Murphy with the "go online and fix now" button but I already have this update installed.

  Edit: It seems changed my product key but how do I make my windows genuine now?

  Edit 2: Fixed. Run cmd as administrator and entered the command: SLMGR-REARM then I rebooted the pc and I could enter my key product without problem. My windows is now activated and genuine.

The installer said the software successfully installed.

  If I click on one of these icons, all that happens is that the Setup program runs again... I do not see how to launch the software and I was not prompted to enter the serial code to check the software... I'm puzzled.

  It is not lightroom launch icon in the dock... If I go to the finder and click on one of the two .dmg files I downloaded, everything that happens is that the Setup program runs again.

  Any ideas on how I proceed with this installation and run the software?

  OK... so I have answered my own question by searching online for how to "Uninstall" application on a mac. Apple guide on this site what is called the "launchpad" who has his own gray icon showing a rocket in the dock at the bottom of the screen.

  When you click on it it shows all of your apps, not just the ones that appear in the dock.

  In the launch area, I can see the familiar Lightroom icon, which when I clicked it, launch Lightroom, prompted me for the serial number so that I can complete the installation.

  Maybe this will help other new Mac users to get acquainted with the whims of another operating system.
