How to apply different "headers" to different sections of a document?

I realize that "headers" may not be the end but... is it possible to apply a series of different "headers" to different sections in a single document?

In the example where a single document is composed of three "chapters" (say, 10 to 15 pages each), I would like to have a "head" which reads: "It's the first part" at the top of all pages of Chapter 1, "this is the second part" at the top of all pages in chapter two and "This is the third part" at the top of all pages in Chapter 3 (etc.).

I thought that this might be possible using a series of master pages but have no idea if it works or how to go on this subject clues would be most appreciated - using the latest version of ID (CS6) on Windows 7.

Well you need not different master pages.

You go to the single master page and go to

Type > text Variables > define

Click on the header for pre-existing run, then click on 'change '.

Select "paragraph header Running Style.

    Good guys.

    I thought about it, if someone had the same problem as me and a look at this thread for the answer, here it is.

    Firstly if you are wanting to separately style two or more Spry accordions that are not on the other example

    Label 1

    Insert content here

    Label 1

    Insert content here

    Do not do this, as long as you have separate ID's for the div (which dreamweaver automatically anyway), you will be fine.

    However if for some reason, you want to put one accordion inside another like I did for example

    Label 1

    Insert content here

    Label 1

    Insert content here

    Too style accordion 1 and 2 so their tabs have different origins and Hover background when the content panel is open and closed you need to style it in CSS that they follow the path;

    CSS

    #Accordion1. {AccordionPanelTab}

    height: 75px;

    Width: 285px;

    Background: url (.. /images/package_spry_tab_bg.png) ;}

    #Accordion1. AccordionPanelTabHover,

    #Accordion1. AccordionPanelOpen. {AccordionPanelTabHover}

    height: 75px;

    Width: 285px;

    Background: url (.. /images/package_spry_tab_bg_RO.png) ;}

    #Accordion2. {AccordionPanelTab}

    height: 44px;

    Width: 469px;

    Background: url (.. /images/packages_spry.png) ;}

    #Accordion2. AccordionPanelClosed. AccordionPanelTabHover,

    #Accordion2. AccordionPanelOpen. {AccordionPanelTabHover}

    height: 44px;

    Width: 469px;

    Background: url (.. /images/packages_spry_ro.png) ;}

    Normally in styling two separate spry accordions, you can simply use the following code

    #Accordion1. {AccordionPanelTab}

    height: 75px;

    Width: 285px;

    Background: url (.. /images/package_spry_tab_bg.png) ;}

    #Accordion1. AccordionPanelTabHover,

    #Accordion1. AccordionPanelOpen. {AccordionPanelTabHover}

    height: 75px;

    Width: 285px;

    Background: url (.. /images/package_spry_tab_bg_RO.png) ;}

    The only difference with the style one Spry Accordion in another so that they have different horizons stationary when the content panel is open and closed ".» AccordionPanelClosed ".

    Hope this has helped someone who had the same problem, I was.

  • Try to use a button to move form data to a different section of the document

    Sure. Just use something like this as a MouseUp the button script:

    this.getField("Target1").value = this.getField("Source1").valueAsString;
    this.getField("Target2").value = this.getField("Source2").valueAsString;
    this.getField("Target3").value = this.getField("Source3").valueAsString;

  • How to use several different sections of the same clip in the timeline?

    Hey, I used this tutorial as a reference for editing. I have my own equipment I want change, which includes several takes different. Is it possible to use several different sections of the same clip in the timeline? You know, like the good part of a certain record keeping. I appreciate any assistance. Thank you

    Post edited by: Kevin Monahan

    Reason: changed the title of best research opportunities

    I prefer to put the clip in the Source monitor Panel, then set the points and exit. From there you can simply drag the section of the element in the sequence.

    Or, you can make a subelement, the section will have a distinct element in the bins in the project Panel. You should always keep the original material, but now you can have real subitems to work if you prefer.

    Please help me.

    My equipment measures vibrations on a different section of material power .it has 8 channels analog input with each channel a preamp and dsp, then withFinal microprocessor display. How could I Connector channels read and analyze the system. How to connect analog inputs for pc and LabVIEW.

    Thank you.

    You will need to provide more than that.

    What is the brand and model number of this equipment?  How it connect to the PC.

    National Instruments sells modules of data acquisition that connect the analog inputs and measure it.  But you say that your equipment has entered analog, so it takes the data acquisition equipment.  You will need to see which interface it provides to the computer and if they provide all of the LabVIEW drivers.  If this isn't the case, you will need to write your own in LabVIEW.

  • Apply different background colours to group radio buttons

    Hello

    I am trying to apply different background colours to group boxes.

    I have 3 buttons:

    yellow, red and green.

    As you can imagine. I have to same color of background as their names. I have no idea how to do it. I assume that this has something to do with css, but I don't know even how to see the buttons in a css file.

    If anyone knows?

    Thanks in advance,

    Elizabeth

    To do this, you use JQuery as below.

    $("label[for='P1_RADIO_0']").attr("style", "background-color:red;");
    $("label[for='P1_RADIO_1']").attr("style", "background-color:green;");
    $("label[for='P1_RADIO_2']").attr("style", "background-color:yellow;");

    For radio, you will need to define LOV. For each option button consist of aelement and an associated item

    The ID of eachelement goes like:

    P1_RADIO_1

    P1_RADIO_2

    P1_RADIO_3

    P1_RADIO_4

    .......

    And labels have an attribute 'for' to reference the brotherelement, so the Jquery here above.

    Run it on loading the page with dynamic action. Here's a working example:

  • Help: apply different styles of Pará to several consecutive paragraphs using the script

    Hi all

    I need to apply different styles of Pará to several consecutive paragraphs using the script, something like this (found somewhere on the net):

    myDoc = app.documents var [0];

    mySel var = app.selection [0];

    var myPStyle1 = "A";

    var myPStyle2 = 'B ';.

    you need to add 6 styles here:

    var myPStyle3 = 'C ';

    var myPStyle4 = "D";

    var myPStyle5 = 'E ';

    var myPStyle6 = 'F';

    var myPStyle7 = "G";

    var myPStyle8 = 'H ';

    the last style is not necessary in the script?

    apply style 1 paragraph 1

    mySel.appliedParagraphStyle = myDoc.paragraphStyles.item (myPStyle1);

    apply styles to the paragraphs after selection

    style 2

    mySel.paragraphs [-1] .insertionPoints [-1] .appliedParagraphStyle = myDoc.paragraphStyles.item (myPStyle2);

    next style

    mySel.paragraphs [-1] .insertionPoints [-1] .paragraphs [0] .insertionPoints [-1] .appliedParagrap hStyle = .nextStyle myDoc.paragraphStyles.item (myPStyle2);

    I tried a lot, but could not find the way to extend the sequence

    Sorry, no skills in the scripts still...

    all styles have "Next Style" option enabled, but I can't use ' apply style, then next style "or object styles, because I need four different sequences of these paragraph styles:

    A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H

    A-B-D-E-G-H

    A-C-D-F-G-H

    A-D-G-H

    and I don't really want to create special clones of the same style for each sequence (Keep It Simple, they say ).

    I think that this can be done through four slightly adjusted scripts...

    any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

    Sorry to be late to the party, I usually take up such things immediately.

    How about this one?

    1. no separate necessary script, it uses a small dialog box where you can choose what style to use. If I'm not mistaken, you can press a digit key on Windows to immediately select one of the items.

    2. it works down in the paragraph in that your cursor is located. It has nothing to do with the blocks of text, even if - consecutive paragraphs within a story always ignore the text frames.

    3. extensible: you can easily change the names of the styles in the table at the top of the page and the number of groups of style in the list.

    var styleLists = [
              [ "A", "B", "C", "D", "E", "F", "G", "H" ],
              [ "A", "B", "D", "E", "G", "H" ],
              [ "A", "C", "D", "F", "G", "H" ],
              [ "A", "D", "G", "H" ]
    ];

    var radiobutts = [];

    styleDialog = app.dialogs.add ({name:"Set Multiple Styles",canCancel:true});
    with (styleDialog)
    {
              with (dialogColumns.add())
              {
                        with (radiobuttonGroups.add())

  • Best way to put up a movie with a lot of different sections

    Hi - I am a flash demo and have a bunch of different sections / categories that the film will have to come back to. I created a similar demo earlier and different 'scenes' to keep track of and organize different categories. Should I continue to use scenes to navigate to, or is there a better, more professional way to make my film?

    Also, where can I find more information on properly organize and set up my flash files? IE: naming conventions, etc.

    Thank you!

    -Pat

    It is not really a definitive answer as to the way in which we put in place a file, if a common recommendation is to avoid the use of scenes if you plan to integrate navigation between the different sections.  Although the concept of the reorganization of the separate sections like a scenes is good, actually, scenes can be problematic when it comes to implement navigation in them.

    Sometimes the implementation of choice is determined better based on the amount of content is involved and how that content should be consulted (web against presentation of pc).   If it is possible for a heavy file size, it may be better to create different sections as separate swf files and load them dynamically.

    If you want to have it all in one file, then you can use a main timeline, divide it into sections, by using labels to navigate to them, or you could create all in a framework and use the visibility to control what someone sees at any time.  The last of these two is convenient if you have items that need to retain settings information in the case that they need... If you make simply invisible, they retain some State that they were.

    And you can combine the different approaches, if there is no utility to do so.  It really boils down to what you the appropriate reason for the work, and sometimes even boils down to what approach, you're more comfortable suite... Design effectiveness is not necessarily always what a factor is getting results.

    With respect to the conventions, you can try a Google search using the terms you think better identify what you're after.  You may be able to find some beginner level tutorials that will go on detail regarding the conventions of coding and whatnot.

    Im trying to open the tutorial of 23 minutes on how to use different tools in photoshop and it continues to come with unable to resolve the DNS servers worked fine yesterday? Ive had creative cloud on my laptop for a week and not yet able to get past the basics make me very frustrated.

    I guess you meant the links when you open photoshop CC. I tested all four videos of the 23 min tutorial and they all played fine. If something between you and adobe does not work correctly.

    • Check that your firewall is blocking the net. Try to access youtube videos and see if they play very well
    • Go to the adobe tv site and try to play one of the videos here. Adobe TV
    • If youtube plays very well and adobe tv does not work, next is to check if you have flash installed. Some videos require flash, others are html 5. Sorry that I could not confirm what player has been used for this tutorial. I think that html 5 but not sure.
    • Next is to look at the properties of your browser and check multimedia settings are not disabled if it y in a. (this is totally dependent on the browser)

    If none of this helps, let us know.

  • How to manage different versions of a Web site?

    Hi guys,.

    I am new to Dreamweaver and I will recreate my static site in Dreamweaver 2015 CC using Bootstrap business. I wonder how to keep different versions of the same site for specific release dates (upload). I think it would be silly to keep and rename the copy of the entire Site on the hard disk for each version.

    Is there an elegant way to return to an older version of the Site when the changes (to index.html, *.css, etc.) go wrong? I read subversions (SVN), but instructions are to bypass access-rights teams and so on, which seems to be too complicated when there is no team but only one change and edit the same Web site.

    Use Ctrl + Z (win) to cancel the changes in your code as many times as necessary.  DW don't forget when you save a file, or a glimpse into the browser.  However, DW forget changes/story if you close the file.  In order not to close until you are certain that the changes you made has not break something.

    Do not try to work on too many things at once.  Patiently, work on one thing at a time.

    Make regular backups of your work.

    Go to file > save as page 1-a, 1-b page, page1-c if necessary.
