  • How to create a hot spot for a full browser image?

I have a background image created in Photoshop in the browser padding, scale to fill.

This is my landing page and would like to create an 'invisible' reactive or rectangle area to post a link to another page in my site when clicked.

I did this and work, however, my problem is that when my browser size is expanded or reduced, the place where I want the area reactive to be changes in the size and location.

I want to create a hotspot that will keep its form around my logo no matter the size of the screen.

I tried this with a no bottom box and white outline to see how he responds to each fill property but may not know how to create a box to be in a fixed position that will always upward

with the browser fill image location and size.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

Have you tried to pin the box on the page so that it should be in a fixed position?

Also if you want the box to be on a specific job with scrolling the page, then you can try using the scrolling of the effects that would scroll the page box but inside the defined positions.

  • What is the hot spot?

    Hi there;

I read some content on the data warehouse, and I met a sentence as such:

(context) Hardware and i/o considerations in Data Warehouses-> automatic interleaving->

"For probes of index (for example, within a nested loop join or parallel index scan interval), interlacing of operating system allows you to avoid hot spots by evenly distributing I/O on the discs." http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B10500_01/server.920/a96520/hardware.htm

What is the hot spot? Could you please explain briefly; Thanks in advance.

Hot spots: a quarrel of disc, i.e. when an individual disk drive is overloaded with e/s and have the ability to answer within the time scheduled or desired. The term dates with database I/O performance, where a relatively small segment of the database (hot spot) is responsible for a high number of disk bed and written that overloading a single disc.

  • Hyperlinks - how to create a link to hot spot?

I would like to make a link to a new page to a button in the footer area only.

Would not a link to main menu level.

So where would I add the page in the site plan?

I would add a page for a 2nd level and hide the name?

    Also how 'call' the hyperlink?

    Screen shot 2012-08-11 at 12.24.23 AM.jpg

    Another scenario:

It doesn't seem to be a way to create a point of interest on a portion of an image link from the background image. - AND any text or image/box located in the footer area on the master page (not down) moves when there is a concertina Panel that pushes it down.

    Hello

You can add the page as a top-level page. When you create the outline view, right-click on the thumbnail of the page, then click on the Menu Options-> exclude Page of Menus. This will make the page is not in the main level menu link. You can call the hyperlink by selecting the object that you want to have the hyperlink, and then clicking on the pull down menu in the control strip where it says enter link. Select the page you want to link to.

Regarding the link at bottom of page, I suggest using real text and apply the hyperlink to that by selecting the block of text by typing in the link. If you want to continue using a hotspot, you can create a rectangle over the area you want to link. Change the rectangle to have no line and a (probably white) opaque fill for the % 1, then you will be able to use the functionality of link for this area. The biggest concern for the creation of a hot spot, it is that it can align properly in all browsers the receipt page and fill in the rectangle, that the link does not work properly in Internet Explorer.

    Thank you

  • How do I set up Windows mail to work with an iphone5 in mode 'hot spot' as the internet connection.

My internet is now via an iphone5 used as a hot spot.  How can I set up Vista "windows mail" to use with this? I've always used Windows mail when I had a high traditional rural snail speed dial and would still do that?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

The hotspot just iPhone connects you to the Internet, the e-mail application does not really know the difference (as much as he knows, he might as well be a Starbucks WiFi at the coffee shop).

It seems that you are properly connected to the hotspot, but that your e-mail program is not configured to download emails to iCloud.  Your hotspot is actually not related to that.  The mail app will download mail, regardless of how you connect to the web.

To set up your e-mail to iCloud program, you'll want to go to the account options in the e-mail software and add your iCloud account.

See: How to add or remove a Windows mail account

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/add-or-remove-a-Windows-mail-account

While you are on this page, do not forget knowledge more under the "Add account, end to end", which includes images and examples to help you set up the account.

After that, you should start getting your email into the Windows Mail program.

  • Is it possible to add a ToolTip to a hot spot of HTML drop-down list?

Is it possible to add a ToolTip to a HTML drop down or expand hotspot?  The hot spot will appear as green text on the screen to help, but short to write a statement in the help to the users screen, click on the text, I have not found another way to express this. A ToolTip is preferable to a statement that is written on the page, because when I publish a guide to help, I carefully go through the document and remove all these references to "by clicking the green text. It would be ideal to have a mouse over ToolTip as there is a hyperlink. Is there a way to do this? If this isn't the case, Adobe can think to add this feature? Thank you.

    Hello

For starters, you can apply a conditional tag to build the text that indicates what's happening, and then use a conditional Expression to build to remove this text when you target an output that should not have.

Add a ToolTip, it is quite easy, but is not intuitive.

Select the text of the menu drop-down, and then look at the HTML code. Should look like this:

Modify the code as follows. Right after the class = 'dropspot' hand, insert the following text:

ALT = "Insert your text here" title = "insert your text here."

When you are finished, it should look like this:

And after than that, here what my link looks like when I hover:

  • How to record down version Cloud Creative InDesign CS5? Exported as a file .idml but still the messages that plug-ins are missing, although CS5 confirms it is fully updated.

How to record down version Cloud Creative InDesign CS5? Exported as a file .idml but still the messages that plug-ins are missing, although CS5 confirms it is fully updated.

Yes. Thank you. I based on another post misled. Successfully done this by selecting 'File', 'save a copy... ". "then choosing"for CS4 or later (IDML).

He had little patience and several tests, but I think it was because of hardware (memory) overloaded version CC cloud or something. It was a 50 MB, file of 500 pages and took 17 minutes to convert/save,

Recap: dnuee to CS5, do not use "Export" (IDML); use ' Save as ' or 'Save a copy' and select "for CS4 or later (IDML).

    Advice much appreciated.

  • Cannot remove a blue border around hot spots.

Despite extensive research online, I can't figure out how to remove the ugly blue border that forms around all my image map hotspots.  I applied all the rules CSS of the definition of the borders to 0, but must apply to a link to the actual image, not a hotspot in an image control, because it did not work.  I'm not very good with CSS, but would like to know exactly what I should add, and exactly where I need to add, to remove the border from ALL of my hot spots throughout my site.  If anyone can help, I would appreciate it really - it drives me crazy.  The more detailed (aka. obvious) and "dumbed down" explanation would be well received!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.  I found another reference online (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3268731?start=0&tstart=0) who suggested to include the 'space' in the CSS.

So yes, Murray similar to what you suggested, I added

    map area {}

    outline: none;

    }

and it worked!  Apparently the contours are visible on Safari (?) because they were not show on Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, but now the problem is solved!

  • Certificate for the hot spot ISE error

We have just install an ISE Server (Version 1.3.0.876) and that you have set up a hot spot for guest users portal. Everything on the Portal works fine, however! The question that we run is, we installed a public cert signed by a public CA (Starfield CA), but when you can go to the EULA page on the ISE server, they get an error the path of certificate cert becomes not filled. I watch the cert that it gets, and the path contains only the issued cert, not the case there are on it. (I think that cert requests the browser to go to a site to download the latest public certification for the issued cert)

I can work around this in order to allow this IP address he strikes in the ACL on the WLC, but I would simply like to have deliver ISE cert WITH public cases that's just in case the IP changes, or it is actually hitting a VIP and it comes to be responsive would be.

Does anyone know how this is done?

    I tried the following:

From the cert out of ISE, added public certification in the server certificate and added to the ISE, no luck. (I can this is done properly, let me know if this should have worked)

Added the case public in ISE and self-confidence, no luck with either.

Let me know! Thank you guys!

Good job to fix the problem and for taking the time to post back here! (+ 5 from me).

What is interesting is that the ISE should warn you and automatically restart the server when a new HTTPs certificate is installed. I wonder if this behavior may be changed with the last patch/version. In both cases, glad your problem is solved!

  • Hot Spot question slide

I use 9 Captivate and my hot spot question has two hot spots: Yes or no. How can I make sure the user, just click either Yes or no, not both. It defeats the purpose of the question when there are animations that are glued on the two hot spots, and you cannot remove them.

    Please help :)

You will need a question slide custom hotspot, not the default value that is too limited. I never use it myself. There is not really your use case described in this article, but it can offer you a few ideas anyway:

  • Creation of hot spots in the DPS

I have a place where I would like to the same position of having the open and the close button.

For example, an image with a small icon '+': when you press the icon '+', a box opens with the information and the icon "+" becomes an icon 'x' (the 'x' is in the same place exactly as the '+' before)

The image with the icon "+" is a State, the second State presents the information with the 'x' icon - I would like it so that when you click on the "x" it takes back you to the first State.

I know this is possible because I saw it used in other digital magazine publications (for example, in Vanity Fair magazine)
Can someone explain to me how to do it step by step? Link tutorial can also be very useful.

    Thnx.

There are tutorials to create hot spots and the buttons toggle DPS tips > Advanced overlays. Example:

  • Hot spot quiz questions keep coming back to point original hot location.

Hello. I develop a course Adobe Presenter 8 which contains a certain point hot quizzes with many options for users to click (we do not have time or money to do the simulation so it was the "fix").

Whenever I have to 'Manage the Quiz' is editing the manifest, or a quiz etc, it resets my reactive quiz at the original location inserted Adobe. I've been making small to contain a detailed image and duty resize several hot spots over and over again is frustruating.

If anyone else has encountered this before? And if so, how you solved this problem?

    Thank you very much!

I do have trouble-shooted finally my problem! Some of the questions hot spot missing identifiers 'Hot Spot 1' so to speak and those who have been those who have been reset. I named each hotspot again and now this problem has been resolved.

  • Creating a hot spot question

I am wanting to create a hot spot question. I have an image that I created for this question. I've identified "hot spots" on the image and when I preview the issue, hot spots are already identified before the user clicks top. I will use this issue to test the attention of person with ability to detail. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    hot spot.jpg

Erik, it is a matter of default access point, the hot spots have a default setting with a stroke of 1 p in blue. You must make this race 0 for width make the invisible race.

Select the hot spot, open the properties panel and set the width of the stroke to 0. If you wish for all the hot spots, you can save the style as default style, using the diskette icon just beneat Style (second icon from the left)

  • Hot spots are not where they are supposed to be.

    Hi all

I love the hot spots, I just put them on a part of an image and they become a link.  I used on the loading of Web pages.

But on this one, (linked below), the hot spots on the menu bar are irrelevant?  They are in the right place on the links of the cover of the album, but not on the top bar?

    http://www.curvedair.com/discography.html

Anyone know why this might be and how it can be fixed?  (they are in the right place in Dreamweaver, but not on the website when downloaded).

    Thanks in advance!

    Daniel

My personal opinion is that the interactive images are an average amateur to add links and should be used only as a last resort on the right links.

That said, you have seven 7 links in the navigation bar and eight 8 in your code.

    index.html" />
    news.html" />

    discography.html" />
    biographies.html" />
    #" />press.html" />
    oldwebsite.html" />
    contact.html" />

Find one that needs to be removed and you will surely find what the problem. Maybe start the map from scratch with the good links and many.
