How to Center a flash movie in the browser window

Can someone explain how to Center horizontally my Flash movie in the browser window after publication?

A little history:

I was able to do this by using < Center > < / center > tags a few years ago. But I've updated for CS5 and I understand that this old method is now obsolete.

I found a few threads and forums dealing with this, but I don't know anything about HTML, these discussions don't me because they assume you have more knowledge than I have. When you open the index.html file in Dreamweaver I can't find something that looks vaguely familiar to what is discussed. I found some code examples using < div > < / div > tags but have no idea where to place them.

So I need it explained to me in a way step by step, including the what file I have difficulty and what program I need to use. Code samples will be very welcome if you can tell me exactly where he's going.

Thanks in advance...

  • By aligning a Flash movie in the browser and flush at top center

    I have a problem my positioning Flash animation where I want in the browser window. I want it:

    * To be centered horizontally (easy enough), but also:

    Px the outcrop of the upper part of the browser window, with 0 between the film and the top of the browser window

    I tried different combinations of single-celled tables, div and CSS of absolute and relative positioning and impossible to find the right combination to achieve this positioning. The closest I can get is centered horizontally and on a gap of 5 px from the top of the browser window to the top of the film - it should be flush.

    My film is 1000 px wide and high of 680. It is a simple diagram of what I'm trying to achieve:

    For your body of the html file tag try including these four settings, they should reduce you have no margin that separates you from the top of the page...

    If you have a CSS of the page file you could include this in the form...

    {body
    left margin: 0px;
    margin-top: 0px;
    margin-right: 0px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    }

  • How to have flex new regulation when the browser window is resized?

    I have a web application that aims to occupy the entire area of a browser window.  It has a minimum usable size of 1024 x 768, but if the browser window is expanded (or click full screen), I would demand to redo the layout.  I used the percentage of investments and the Basic for all layout constraints.  But when I change the size of the outside window, nothing happens!

    Whats a newbie to do?

    Try the parameter width/height=100% and minWidth/minHeight = 1024 x 768

    Flash Catalyst currently only supports applications with fixed dimensions.

  • Impossible to center the Web page in the browser window!

    Hello! I have searched and tried almost everything to Center my Web page in the browser window, but it does not work!

    This is the page: www.claudechalhoub.com. I want that page is centered regardless of the size of browser window!

    I have included the following code in my html code:

    < style type = "text/css" >

    {body
    text-align: center; / * For the IE6.
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    min-width: 770px;
    background-image: url(pictures/lastimage.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-color: #000;
    do-family: "Palatino Linotype", "Book Antiqua", Palatino, serif;
    color: #FFF;
    make-style: normal;
    }
    {#wrapper}
    Width: 770px;
    Auto margin: 0;
    text-align: left;
    }
    ...
    < / style >

    And then I realized:

    < body >

    < div id = 'wrapper' >
    < div id = "ap_text" > "the beauty of the music of Claude Chalhoub, is that it is not 'new' at all. This sounds familiar, even if you have never listened to music Arabic (or classical music) at all. As if it had always been there. It is as natural as breathing. "And it's this great art is all about - what makes the difficult seem easy." < / div >

    ...

    < / div > <! - close the tag div wrapper - >

    < / body >

    I don't know what the problem of not working!

    Any guidance?

    Your background image for the "body" tag contains the image that you used in it also. It's a bad habit. Just use a background image wide 5px and use it in your body background tag. Repeat with horizontally to fill your screen.

    Put your photo in a DIV inside the 'wrapper' div position it accordingly.

    In addition, you used an "absolute" on all items positioning on your website. Their position relative to the tag parent for best results.

  • How can I separate two movies on the same timeline?

    I use the first elements 11 but that you him have not used for quite awhile so I forgot much of what I learned. So here's my question: I have two movies on the same timeline. How can I separate them. In other words, how can I move one on the timeline, so it won't confuse my editing on the other? But better yet - how can I make a movie on the timeline completely and change it later as a separate film. I have really four shorts - a minute long. I would like to change separately, with a new file name. I don't know how to do that more.

    Tommyvincent

    I did some research on the issues that you have raised in this thread.

    Comments...

    1.

    After you import a video into the assets of the project, you can right click it, select Rename. This file when you drag the timeline will have the new name.

    But...

    If you import a video into the assets of the project, drag it to the timeline, right-click clip timeline, select Rename from the pop-up, then the calendar file will be renamed but not its thumbnail in the active project. You rename this project asset vignette to match if you want. However, these traces yet files renamed to the original with original filename to its disk hard saving location.

    2.

    All down your Timeline... one way would be to export the clip selectively if she was included in the Group of the clips on the Timeline. Two conditions for

    a. change box, set the gray tabs on the work area bar to expand on the segment to export

    and

    (b) in the field of export, have a check mark next to the option "Action work area Bar only.

    3.

    If you have made a clip in the active project, double clicked to open the preview window, you can cut the clip with the points put in and Set Out and create "subitems" with new names in the active project. These "subitems" would be part of the media of this project which could be moved to the timeline when necessary.

    Please review and determine if all the foregoing is in the right direction for what you want to do.

    Thank you.

    Hello.

    Includes your page of templeta in a who follows these steps:

    (1) put your ** in ** to ** without your footer. (Everything except the foot of page and xmlAttributes)
    (2) put your ** with the footer in ** (only the bottom of page).

    With ** you can solve your problem.

    Kind regards. Daniel.

    I would like to have a widget that is aligned to the bottom of the browser window. The intention is, what is the size of the window, the widget will appear so many pixels above the bottom edge.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Philippe,.

    You can lock your widget in the lower center of the browser window by using the option of the PIN at the top right of your screen of muse. Let me know if it helps.

    Hello

    Please, try the following steps.

    1 create a rectangle and make it 100% width by pressing the button width 100%.

    2 give this rectangle at the height of your choice.

    3. fill the image desired in the rectangle using fill option and make 'Center' "scale to fill."

    Initially he broke all my browsers, IE8, firefox and chrome, but after an update of chrome chrome has been very well. I've updated several times and have installed IE9, but from 1-2 weeks any page using flash will crash the browser.

    My first guess is something related to hardware acceleration, but I can't flash settings to turn it off and try it.

    I am running windows 7 Home premium on a netbook with nvidia ion and intel GPU using nvidia optimus.

    Any advice on how to solve my problem?

  • How can I make my swf is displayed correctly in the browser windows?

    I want to publish my Flash file and make it accessible by a link, but it does not display correctly. All angles or curved edges look jagged and uneven. Straight lines are fine, but everything else seems messy. In addition, my last swf is amplified to fill the window of the browser for a reason, which looks terrible. I didn't know the question before scaling and I can't understand what the problem is this time. Files I posted before still displayed to the normal size of the file work, but it works differently. I use Flash CS6, and I tried to download and view my swf in Chrome and firefox. The swf dimensions are 1280 by 720. Thank you

    If you link directly to the swf instead of an html page that loads the SWF then the swf will size itself to fit the browser window.
