  The problem you are having with this is that there are some biscuits memory-resident in your browsing session to identify your session (jsessionid) to the web server and your identity (PSTOKEN) for the servlets of PeopleSoft in PeopleSoft. Tabbed browsers (Firefox, IE7 +), you need to do some 'special' things to create several sessions of browser with separate cookies.

  For Firefox, you must create a separate profile. To do this close firefox and running "firefox - ProfileManager" command line. You can then create a second profile firefox (Note: it will not inherit your bookmarks or complements of the profile existing). Then after the startup of firefox with your profile by default, you can start a second instance of firefox with the command line "PEI firefox - no-remote.» This will start a second instance of firefox with its own cookies which can connect independently to a second system PeopleSoft

  For IE7 or IE8, it's a little easier. Start your first browser session as usual and then to start the second session, use the command line "C:\Program may Explorer\iexplore.exe" - new. This will start your second instance of the browser with a new set of cookies.

  If you have forgotten your password, if you have another user who has administrative privileges account you can log in to that account and change the password of your account of origin of the user accounts applet in Control Panel. If you do not have another account like this set upwards or that you do not have the password which you will need to log on to the built-in Administrator account. In XP Home, start the computer in Mode safe. This, by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. This will put you in the right menu. Navigate using your arrow up; the mouse does not work here. Once in safe mode, you will see the normally hidden administrator account. The default password is white.

  In XP Pro, you don't need to go to Safe Mode. In the home screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic Windows logon box. Type in "Administrator" and the password that you assigned when you set up Windows.

  If you have XP Pro or Media Center and have been using the account administrator for your regular work so it is the only user account on the system, there are ways to change the password for this account to a white. Microsoft does not allow us to tell how, in these forums. Their House, their rules. Use Google or ask a technician to the local computer (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  You can get your username by going to C:\Users\ and find your user name under Windows Vista and C:\Documents and Settings\ for Windows XP.

  We are unable to provide assistance with respect to the recovery of a password.

  If you are able to connect to your machine and have administrator rights, you can then change your password by clicking on start, right-click on computer and choose manage. Open the users section and groups, then users, right click on your account and choose set password.

  Assume that you will need to reinstall Windows, if you can't get the password.

  You can try to do a factory zero that will erase the entire hard drive and reinstall Windows, drivers, and Dell supplied software.

  It's probably a good idea, even if you have the password because you don't know how much malware and the owner's personal files are on the system.

  Assuming that you have Win 7, read this article.

  After the reset, get your antiviral software and go directly to the Windows update site to download and install all the latest Win 7 updates. There will be a LOT of them.

  Then go to the page Support for this model of PC and update all hardware drivers. Be sure to select the correct version of Windows before downloading all the drivers.

  If the factory reset does not work, you need a reinstall of Win 7 drive to do a clean install. So I hope that the former owner has given you this disc...

• I can't connect to the other user account... error message read s 'user name' or password. We have not set up a password and user name is correct.

  I can not access another user account.  It to request a username and password.  I enter the user name is correct and there is no password.  The login page, used to have two icons of the user; but for some reason, the last log on the user icon is here and a new white icon for the new user.

  Once a week a few posters noted a problem similar to yours. In this case, I post the answer you see below.   Hi all

  I am currently a student at my CCNA Security and have been playing around with AAA. I have a 851w with advsecurity 12.4 IOS.

  What I noticed and found interesting is that I seem to have a user configured locally, but it seems to have two passwords.

  For example, if I login with SSH or telnet, I get my user name with password 'ABC' and I'm in. This account is the privilege level 15. However, if I have access to the SDM, I enter the same username with a different password, for example '1234'. If I get the password 'ABC', who works for SSH and telnet, I do not get access.

  I was wondering if someone can explain this? I tried using the aaa show commands to see what happens, but it doesn't seem to help. As I said, aaa uses the local database for its database of the user. Here is a config.

  Any help much appreciated.

  Hello and welcome to the forums of Captivate!

  Captivate itself probably cannot do what you ask. User authentication is usually managed by a dedicated learning management system.

  You * can * assign a single generic password to a Captivate file, but this means that each user share the same password. He's not big, but it's the only option you get in Captivate.

  Assuming that it is good enough, and then you specify a password in the start node and end of project preferences (Edit menu |) Preferences | Beginning and end node).

  To get the user ID, you must add a text entry box to the first slide. Set up with the value 0 (zero) points (on the reports tab in the text box properties dialog box); because there may never be a "right" answer, the user "will always fail" this interaction. A score of zero zero points at least won't hold against the overall percentage of success/failure of the user.

  If you are hoping to use the email of the user to determine completion reports, I urge to reconsider. A search of these forums will show you that the integrated messaging mechanism is not very reliable, and you'll probably be very disappointed with it. It is a relic of a bygone era that has yet to remove the Adobe product, but probably should.

  If you really want the authentication of users and follow-up, a learning management system is your best bet.
