Check if your D drive is your recovery Partition...
Start > computer > if the player shows about 10 to 15 GB. It is the recovery partition.
Your recovery partition D is implemented by the manufacturer of your computer in the event of serious problems in your system.
You use it to restore your system.
You are NOT supposed to touch it... not for nothing is add or remove anything from him.
Your D drive, if that's your recovery disk, cannot be complete unless you have been adding items in there, for example use it to backup files. If you did that, you have a serious situation. You made your useless recovery partition.

You call the manufacturer of the computer, tell them the situation...

1 ask them for a set of recovery DVD to reinstall Vista, in which case the system crashes.
2. ask how to remove backup files or elements that are NOT supposed to be there.
They created the recovery partition, they know how to take care of it.
Let them teach how you to.
