How to clear the event log

Hello

When you run an application and then type: "alt + lglg", I get the logs stored on the BlackBerry smartphone. Inside I can run the "Clear log".

How can I do this in my application? I want to clear logs whenever I run the application.

Any idea please?

Use the method clearLog() of the EventLogger class

  • How to clear the administrative events - Event Viewer log

    Hello:

Anyone know how to clear the administrative events log listed under custom in the event viewer views?

All the logs listed in Windows logs do not have options to clear, but the back above.

    Thank you

    ColTom2

    Hey Colonel,

It is because this isn't 'really' a newspaper, in itself.
This is a Search of the newspaper (and there is MUCH more that most people know), filtered to show all events in administrative type.
The source column shows you which newspaper it came from originally.

To get rid of them, you will need to erase all records.

If you want to get an idea:
Go down to the Applications and Services logs, and expand.
    Microsoft, expand it.
    Then Windows.

    Nice list?
You need to open and delete all. To really delete it.

  • How to clear the system (SALT) on PE1650 event log

    Hello

Can someone please tell me how it is possible to clear the system (SEL) event log on a PowerEdge 1650 server and also how to display the entries.

I have a Poweredge 1650 and the amber light has recently started to Flash indicating a fault. I checked what is obvious and all components appear to be well, but when I run the Diagnostics tool I downloaded from Dell website, it begins to test and all first check the system event log but comes back with an error message saying FAIL cannot continue his tests "in the system event log is full and must be eliminated."

Can someone please tell me how I can clear this log so it can then test the system, as verification of the system event log is the first test and it's not beyond the first part of the test which it is defective on the log of the events being full, this way it can then run the test further and if all goes well He will show me the problem.

Also how the system event log is visible so I can see the Scriptures as it obviously has a problem because it fills the event log.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

    Thanks in advance :-)

  • How to clear the administrative events in 'eventvwr' in Windows 7

Is anyone out there who can help me with this problem?   I'll tell you.

    (1) first run the command eventvwr...

    (2) this will open the Event Viewer log...

    (3) then click on "Custom views" and make a double click on it...

    (4) then you will see "Events Administrative", click on it...

    (5) a window opens showing all, WARINGS, error messages...

I talked with Microsoft about this, they said there is no way to delete these...  I was able to clear all sections within a field by doing a "REFRESH in all...»  Microsoft also said to get rid of this, is only to restore your computer to a factory State...   I know that this can be done without a complete restoration...

    Can someone help, please

Hi, thanks for trying, but your response was not useful at all, sorry...   I am looking for a way to remove all the symbols warning under "Administration events Logs '...  I know how to clear all the undernearth, but it is the main I want to erase without having to do a factory restore.

    Thank you

    (1) I don't know why you're moping around the event viewer and what you're trying to achieve by disabling the administrative events. They are just the alerts and messages that won't just compensation without tackling the real problems reflected by alerts administrative event.

    (2) by design, you cannot delete it interface in the Event Viewer because it isn't 'really' a newspaper. Its a kind of a filter of administrative events of all cumulative newspapers (Application/security/system other applications etc.) you see in the eventvwr.

    (3) factory restore to clear the administrative events is a kind of a solution that might be similar to "Burn down your House to kill the rat"

    (4) so how do? Do it yourself manually. Create a file beats using below and run it... (Run as Admin)

off @echo FOR /F "tokens = 1, 2 *" %%d IN ('bcdedit'), DO DEFINE adminTest = % V IF (noAdmin goto %adminTest%)==(Access) for /F "tokens = *" %%d in ('wevtutil.exe el') DO (call: do_clear ' % G ') echo echo, event logs have been cleared! ^ goto theEnd: do_clear echo %1 wevtutil.exe cl %1 goto of compensation: eof: noAdmin echo, you must run this script as an administrator! echo ^ ) : theEnd pause > NULL

  • How to permanently remove it from the event log in the CSA MC

I run the Cisco Secure Agent 4 deployed on 4 PCs I have enabled documented logging just because it's a test environment & I wanted to see how many events it would generate. Well, last I checked CSA MC (under summary of events) it has more than 300,000 (it's just 300 000) events recorded. I have modified the event handler and applied the new rules, but the machine™ is slooooow both because of more than 300,000 events. Please see the screenshot joint. How do I permanently purge the event log. I used the purge within the CSA MC command but it removed only 10,000 events. The machine is slow so that I can do nothing about it.

Well, I wanted to send the screenshot, but the machine is slow I can't even attach the file. But in all cases, the problem is that the window summary displays message of more than 300,000 events & I need for permannently remove events.

    Thank you.

Was the only one I know how is to use "events" and click all events. From there, you can click or purge the events of your choice.

Also, what are the specifications of server you use?

I have been involved with MCs with more than 2 x what you have & this server is satisfactory product.

    Hope this helps,

  • How do I know that the event log are reported to any server

    Hello

I can see all the event logs and error logs using the event viewer. But I want to know if newspapers are reported to some server just we report about a bug or non-response to application/software using the reporting window.
I want to check if the event errors are reported on some server or not, if yes, to which server it is reported. Is this possible?
The observer of events, or any application in the windows operating system keeps track of these reported error logs.

  • All-in-one printer 6500: how to clear the history of calls for a 6500 printer has?

I am upgrading to a new HP printer and want to donate my 6500 a, but need to erase history calls first.  It has been a tool to clear the fax log, but how do I clear the call history?  I checked after clearing the fax log, and all the phone numbers are always listed in the call history.

Perhaps a better question is to know if I can reset to default, all settings the settings/history of compensation?

It turned out that, I contacted HP by phone and received excellent help.

There is a subset menu which can be found when you press the icon 'back'... on the icon outside the lit display that doesn't show until you type.  They had me find the appropriate page and make a "partial reset".  Brings back the printer to the page where the next time it is turned on, it will ask for questions of initial set-up and all the memory is deleted.  So I have been able to give the machine to the local women's organization helping women with no problems that I can also gave a list of contacts!  Thanks to HP for the excellent customer service!

  • The event log shows event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1

Intermittent crashes. The event log shows event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1. How can I find this device? This is probably a hardware problem?

I look at intermittent crashes, where my cursor becomes an hourglass and the system does not yet meet the ctrl-alt-delete.  In the case of a newspaper, I find

Event 11 atapi: the driver has detected an error in the controller on \Device\Ide\IdePort1.

How can I determine which physical devices this is associated?  This indicates a hardware problem, or driver or firmware may be the source? The system has worked very well for a few years.  I'm not aware of any change in software that took place recently, although I have had by force, remove and reinstall iTunes earlier.

I run SMART on all players controls and run diagnostics.  I ran chkdsk on the one I found the culprit, but not mistakes.

Just in case it was a deadlock linked to memory, I tried to use the Diagnostics memory Microsoft on floppy, but it would not write on the disk (even if I could format and copy the files freely).

    Hello

Go to your configuration and see which drive is for each port; 1,2,3,4...

Then go to the Device Manager and look at how many SATA controller you have and how many ports for each, then start count from 0 to IdePort0, 1, 2, etc. for each SATA controller, so if you have 4 ports for each SATA controller, here is how you came from:

    IdePort0 1 -, 2 - IdePort1, 3 car - IdePort2 and road 4 - IdePort3 in the order of road by car

    I hope it helps
