How to clone ESX 4.1

Hi someone tried cloning ESX 4.1 special measures to record?

Thank you

As mentioned previously there has not recommended to clone ESXi, nor is it supported. I would recommend that you take a look at a (Kickstart) unattended installation for massive installations.

How to clone a tab in Firefox 25.0.1 for Ubuntu? Can't seem to do it and there is little or no info to do so. Is a simple right-click in the opera.

There are two possible ways to clone a tab of firefox under ubuntu:

    With the help of history:

    (1) right click on the back/forward buttons of the browser that opens to the history of the page. (You can also do the next step directly on the arrows, but if you have opened the history you can choose which page to open from history, rather than directly open the previous or the next).

    (2) press on (and continue to hold on) the CTRL and click on one of the pages of history.
Click on one of the pages with the middle mouse button.

    (3) now, after doing one of the steps in the second point, it will open a new tab with the history of the old tab and the starting page will be the page you chose in the history.

    Wihout using history

If you attempt to drag and drop the tab as if you were re - arrange it, keep the Ctrl key before releasing the mouse button while dragging the tab.
This will do the same as above, except that you get to choose a place clone tab in the tab bar, and the first page of the cloned tab is the same as the original.

    Hope this has been helpful.
    Thank you.

  • How do clone you a hard drive on a P6770T

Background: I have a P6770T Office, number of product XX204AV #ABA, OS: Windows 7 Home 64 bit service pack 1.

    Partitions: C: 685 GB D: 12.7 GB (recovery), Q: 0GO (MS Office 2010 protected).

Question: I would like to add a second hard drive to the PC as a clone.   First of all, a second internal hard drive can be added (is there a location for the drive and a SATA cable port)?    Second, how do clone you a hard drive with the three partitions, as described above?    I need instructions for cooking book style because I'm a newbee.      Thank you.

It is usually best to make a clone with an external drive. It makes no sense given the power (spinning). Seagate and WD offer similar programs, called 'DiskWizard '.

    What you'll need:

    (1) software cloning (I'll link Seagate) download the utility and download from this page user's Guide.

    (2) buy a 1 t Seagate drive (like your hard drive is a nominal 750Go).

    more than you will need:

    (3) Sata Drive enclosure includes ESata rail.

  • How to clone a hard drive replace 1 TB HD with 4 TB SSHD?

I have a HP Envy 700-215xt and need more quickly and more storage so I bought a 4TB SSHD to replace the 1 TB HD.  But I could not copy the original HD in the SSHD using Seagate DiscWizard.   Acronis software cloning could not too much because the hard drive is not detected (inactive), it may be blocked by something?  How to clone the disk? Thank you!

    Thank you! Dundar!

Finally, I could copy the original HD HP to the SSHD using EaseUS Todo Backup free 7.0.   Acronis (I) could not detect the hard drive HP (inactive?). I like EaseUS Todo Backup free 7.0 which is software free and can clon all HD to any DH (any size & any). Thanks EaseUS Todo Backup!

How can I do this? pls help.

    Hello

Clone operation is supported only by vCenter Server, so you cannot perform clone vm when it is connected directly to ESX (i).

  • How to clone my disk to a new SSD

    Hi, communities,

My hardware: Apple Mac Book Pro (mid-2009), El Capitan running and an airport Time Capsule 3 TB (with Active Time Machine).

I want to replace my HARD drive. It's easy to find out how to replace it in your Mac Book Pro, but it is much more difficult to find the best way to clone my new SSD HARD drive.

So my question is: what is the best way and the easiest to clone my disk for my new SSD.

Hope you can help out me. Most of the information I found was really old.

    Thank you and best regards

    Jacco

Install the SSD in a closed enclosure and connect it to your MBP via USB.

Open disk utility > delete and format the SSD to Mac OS extended (journaled).

You need a third party application cloning.  I recommend Carbon Copy Cloner:

    https://Bombich.com/

Run the application of cloning.  It will ask you if you want to copy the recovery partition.  Do.

When you have finished the transfer of data/OSX, start the MBP with the OPTION key down.  Select the SSD drive and if it starts the MBP, make the transition with the HARD drive internal.  (You can install the HARD drive in case you used for cloning)

    Ciao.

  • How to clone the hard disk on Mac

I've done it before. Then I used Carbon Copy Cloner, but for some reason any CCC doesn't work anymore. My OS is said that only applications that have been purchased in the works of the appstore. Is this true? And how to make a bootable clone - I can't find a clone-app in the appstore? I get upgraded my OS and want to save a copy of my old BONES just one of nine cases security is not working properly.

You need the CCC for the OSX version you have. It still works perfectly well.

If you have MountainLion, Mavericks, Yosemite or ElCapitan: updating CCC4 should do the job.

    Earlier OSX to CCC3.

AppStore has nothing to do with it.

SystemPreferences-> Security & privacy-> general set "MacAppstore and identified developers."

    then you can install it.

    Hello

"Double dock", are you referring to external HARD drive? You can clone the C: for an external HARD drive and there are many free products around such as:

  • How to clone a Dual Boot XP Installation with only files Bootloader on C:\

For me one of the hardest things to do with a problem in a discussion text is to indicate clearly what disk and partition that I want to talk.  For those who need a refresher in the nomenclature of charger for the startup of Microsoft, it's here.  Others may wish to move on to the next paragraph.  The specification of a given partition is of the form multi (a) disk (b) rdisk (c) partition (d).  But for any ordinary computer, a = b = 0, so we cannot forget for the discussion thereon.  The c value is the number of the disk in the boot order, with the boot drive with c = 0.  The value d is the partition number with the first partition on the disk with d = 1.

In the interests of my presentation that follows, I will refer to rdisk (0) partition (1) as r0p1, rdisk (1) partition (3) like r1p3, etc to save space and we hope to maintain a clarity of thought.

My intention was to clone successfully my dual boot Windows XP Edition family, and Windows XP Pro installation from a larger drive to a smaller drive.  Unfortunately, technical cloning of hard disk Partition Wizard Home failed due to the fact that there is more data on disk more capacity that fits on the smaller disk.  To be precise, there are a score of additional data on the largest drive F:\ r0p4.  So I used Partition Wizard Home to the clone C:\ r0p1 (the system partition that has the XP bootloader files), D:\ r0p2 (Windows XP Pro) and r0p3 E:\ (Windows XP Home) one at a time.  Because I'm using a disk controller hard PATA TX2 promise with the bios settings fixed, the only way to change the order in which the bios starts the disks is to change disks data wiring. I made that as simple as possible by using the two captains of PATA.  Note that the partitions that I cloned were G:\ r1p1 H:\ r1p2 and I:\ r1p3.

To help the reader understand the placement of hard drive partition, repeat myself below.
C:\ r0p1 Windows Bootloader files only (System, active) Bootloader of Windows r1p1 only file G:\
Windows XP Pro H:\ r1p2 r0p2 D:\ Clone Windows XP Pro
R0p3 Windows XP Home Edition (Boot) I:\ r1p3 E:\ Clone Windows XP Home
    R0p4 F:\ data partition

After cloning, I made the following changes to starting XP r0p1 and r1p1 Chargers.  I added the ability to each Boot.ini file to start, r0p2, r0p3, r1p2 or r1p3 to eliminate the duty the wiring to study how the work was going.  I have created a boot loader diskette bootable with the same exact boot loader files in it, too.

I discovered the original disc start, I could successfully start all four of XP with the r0p1 bootloader or the floppy boot loader.  But when I switched the order of disc, only the floppy drive would start in all four of XP.  The bootstrapper on r0p1 never appeared.

I take this to mean that a redirect command where Windows is to search the bootstrapper may be necessary.  I boot from my Windows XP SP3 slipstreamed boot drive and access the repair console.  First I ran bootcfg/list and to my surprise, there is no entry found.  I took this to mean that windows searches for the bootloader files in the right place.  Is it possible to redirect windows to their position?  Think I remember reading something on the redirection of the search for the bootstrapper files.  I also thought about the command that rewrites the MBR, but got a warning that my MBR was specially built and serious consequences could occur, so I'll stop before making a misinformed choice.

While I'm hoping for a generous person offers help, I got back to the top of all partitions on both disks using Acronis True Image.  Then if worst comes to worst, I can experiment with the controls of recovery without fear of losing all my work so far.

I finally discovered that the two related errors that I made which prevented me from being able to start the operating systems Windows XP cloned using the files of Bootstrapper on the cloned C:\ partition.  Unfortunately, I had never taken the time to check the veracity of 'files bootloader being on the C:\ partition cloned'.  In fact the original C:\ partition was a primary partition, then the so-called C:\ partition "cloned" was a logical partition.  This fact makes no difference for the boot loader diskette XP that I had built, because he provided the bootloader files in a separate environment to that of the two hard drives.  But because the partition of the C:\ drive "cloned" was logical and not primary, there's no way I could do the C:\ partition "cloned" active, because only a primary partition can be active.  And the manufacturing process an active primary partition is crucial, precisely because it tells the computer where the Windows XP bootloader files.

In my case after that I discovered that the C:\ "cloned" was logical, I used Partiton Wizard to convert it to a primary school.  But even in this case, Windows XP could not find the XP boot loader.  It was only when I started Wizard Partition a disk using and marked the partition C:\ cloned as assets that the bootloader has finally appeared.

Even in this case I was not completely out of the Woods.  Because I had left the original source of the operating systems that are copied to the computer while the problem of bootloader, Windows had kept the previous drive letter assignments after that hard drives starting positions were exchanged.  So when I started out in what should have been Windows Home on E:\ drive, I discovered that Windows had kept the previous letter of partitions I:\.  And the drive system has even changed the C:\ drive to drive G:\.

Less than a year, I would have thrown to the top of my hands which happened and began on with the cloning operation.  But because I googled for Windows XP system or start letter has changed, I discovered that what I had to do was to go into the registry and swap disks back E:\ and I:\ value names, and do the same for the discs back, C:\ and G:\.  And when I got to Windows XP Pro, I also had to swap the disks back D:\ and H:\ value names.  The only drive on that I had not to swap names was my original data F:\ disc.

Finally, I believe that it is time for me to say why I went to all this trouble because I leave the two disks on the computer.  2 years 1 TB WDC Green Player is coupled to the drive controller Promise TX2 PATA is to use a SATA converter IDE, during the five year drive natively 300 GB Maxtor PATA.  Using the free software software Disk Bench with the windows pagefile disabled, I repeatedly timed 480 MB creating files on both hard drives on all the different partitions and there seems to be an advantage of the maximum speed of 10 Mbps on the old Maxtor PATA drive converted SATA drive.  But the speed of creation for the two ranges of 20 MB/sec to 65 MB/s using the PATA drive, while the beaches of SATA drive about 20 MB/sec-55 MB/sec.  It would be nice to point out, however, that the WDC Green drive is environmentally friendly, but not a 7200 RPM drive.  I plan to study if measurements with Disk Bench with the exchanged boot disks and the disabled swap file will make a difference in the time it takes to create the file.

    Best regards

  • How to clone my original HD a new HD with OS Win7 simular to?

Operating system: Win7 Home Premium (64-bit)

    Cell phone: HPG61

Due to the strange behavior of your internal 500 GB hard drive, I tried to clone the drive to a new one (the same make and model). When I want to restore the image to the new HD, I have problems during the start-up of the PC (I should have a look which are several issues but I think it was something with license). What is the correct procedure to clone an OS original official sort of Win7 on a new hard drive? If this does not work, how can I do to install a clean Windows 7 on the new HDD without having to buy a new OS?

Have you tried builtin Imaging window in Control Panel to create the Image of the system? You also need the system repair disc made in the application of boot from the restore.

If all images require a license key, use the one of the sticker at the bottom of your laptop.

BTW, if your tile is always legible & intact, it might be appropriate to cover with transparent tape. Many owners report damage to the sticker of license after awhile.
