You cannot view several pictures at the same time on a single screen on Windows Media Center.

  • Is not visible jpg pictures in Windows Media Center

I watched all the answers to my question and others with the same question. My camera is a Canon S3 IS powershot that AFAIK takes normal .jpg digital photos. A video (.) MVI file) taken with the same camera is viewable in Media Center. There must be an answer somewhere. I tried to save in jpg format images using picasa, windows media and nero.  jpg is still not displayed. However, tif and bmp gif will be.

    Hi Walsgrave,

You need these folders to navigate and choose the image you want to display. If a photo you want to see is not listed, it is likely stored in an unusual place.

The default locations for the photos and video are below:

    ·          C:\Users\Public\Music

    ·          C:\Users\Public\Pictures

    ·          C:\Users\Public\Video

    ·          C:\Users\\Music

    ·          C:\Users\\Pictures

    ·          C:\Users\\video

How to add pictures, music and videos from Media Center.

    1. on the Start screen, roll down for tasksand click settings.

    2. click on the Library Configuration, and then select Add folder to watch.

    3. Select the location you want to add to:

    (a) Add folders on this computer

    (b) Add folders shared from another computer

    (c) Add folders from two locations

4 navigate to the folder (s) you want to include, select them and click Next.

    5. click Finishand then click OK when you are prompted.

    6. you can continue to use Media Center while your library is updated.

    7. Once finished the newly added media should be available through the image library.

In addition, the JPG file type is supported so this isn't a problem, but for troubleshooting purposes, you want to try to view different file types in Windows Media Center.

  • How do you get the subtitles to work in Windows Media Center Netflix?

I have Windows 7 64 Home Premium with Windows Media Center for a Home Theater Personal Computer.  I can watch Netflix streaming movies with subtitles using IE8 or IE9 and Silverlight, but may not know how to activate in Windows Media Center.  The always cheerful and almost all means useful Netflix Customer Service says only Microsoft can manage Netflix plugin for Windows Media Center issues.

No support to do this from Microsoft, does anyone know how to do this?

    Hi keepitsimple.

This feature is not currently supported in Netflix for Windows Media Center. If you want to apply, you can contact Netflix to let them know:
    I hope this helps.
  • How do you play dubbed audio or subtitles in Windows Media Center Extender (Xbox 360)?

I know how to turn subtitles on my Windows Media Center PC, but there is no option to select audio dubbed or subtitled when you use Windows Media Center Extender. All my video files contain subtitles and audio dubbed foreign films.  My wife loves Spanish subtitles, because she has trouble understanding some English films.  I searched some forums and there are questions there but they have no definitive answers.  How a company billions of dollars developing a Media Center and leave out or miss crucial features like these? Please do not react with the thread on how to activate subtitles in TV Mode. Which does not apply to this question. The key word is EXTENDERS.

    Hi AnthonyWilson5

Subtitles should be coded in the movie view. These subtitles are automatically playing with video files. If the subtitles are a separate .srt file, then you will not be able to visualize everything by watching a video on the 360. There is no real turn option ON or OFF for subtitle in the Xbox 360.

But for more information you can even try to contact the expert Microsoft Xbox 360 team. Please visit the links below to find a community that will support what ask you in the right direction for Xbox 360.

  • How can I get Bluray look a supported in Windows Media Center on Windows 8 Pro?

I saw no definitive answer anywhere on the support Blu - ray for WMC. Is there a codec download or do I really need to spend $100 + to buy CyberDVD just to watch Blu - Ray? I was on the right track to buy a Blu - ray to my PC player so I could throw the Blu - ray player in total but have read a lot of people say that reading doesn't is not supported even in Windows Media Center for me at this time there should be a standard for Blu - ray support.

Unfortunately, as in Windows 7 there no Blu - ray for the WMC or WMP support in Windows 8 PRO either. You need a separate application for playing Blu Ray.

  • Windows Media Center does not display my photos. I tried to re-setup my album and it shows my files but no pictures in them. I can see my photos in all viewers

all my photos are in JPEG format, I download my photos on several websites and on my Windows live.com page, I also see with Windows Live Photo Gallery, I use Adobe Photoshop 7 to edit and save my pictures in .jpeg format, I can visualize in Picasa, PhotoStudio, ZoomBrowers EX etc.. I can spend my photos to one of my other computers and my pictures by e-mail, and they can be consulted. I open one of my photos in Photoshop and saved in a folder on my desktop in .jpeg and .bmp and it does not display. I sort my folder in date and make sure that hidden files is checked. I know I'm missing something, but still nothing.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

How long have you had this problem?

All files compatible photo in your library in Windows will appear in Media Center, including whatever it is stored in the folder my pictures or public photo. If you store images somewhere else, like an external hard drive, you can add them to the Media Center as well. To learn how, see Add files to media in Windows Media Center.

The following is a list of reasons why an image will not display in Media Center, as well as suggestions for correcting the problem.

    • The picture file type is not supported in Media Center. For example, some digital camera photos are saved in the RAW file format, which is not supported in Media Center. If you have a photo editing software, try to open the picture in that program, and then resaving in a file type that is supported (for example, JPEG). To see what types of files are supported in Media Center, see file types supported by Windows Media Center.

    • The file is corrupted. If this is the case, try to open the image in another photo editing program, and then save it back into a different file type. For more information on the damaged files, see the files corrupted: frequently asked questions.

    • The file is hidden. You can view a hidden file by changing its properties in Windows. For more information, see Show hidden files.

  • How to send slide shows in Windows Media Center?

    Use media center units

How to export or send the slides that are in Media center?  Where these files reside?

    Hello ValdesR,

The photos that appear in the slide show Windows Media Center are images that are located in the images folder and all folders are selected during the installation of the library of Windows Media Center that contain photo files.

You can burn the DVD slideshow directly from Windows Media Center, and then share the media although he has not an option to send the slideshow directly from Windows Media Center. To burn photo slideshow in Windows Media Center on a DVD, please see the following link create a slide show with music .

  • Windows Media Center photo date AND time

Is it possible to have Windows Media Center to deliver photos in Date AND time order.  I have several photos taken at a given date in my folder, but WMC puts in the random time sequence in a date.  My Pictures folder is in date and time order

    Hi gingerandbuddy,

Follow the steps below to organize photos in media center in groups.
You can only group by alphabetical order and date wise, but you can also add the tag for photos that would make it easier to find photos.

    1. on the Start screen, navigate to pictures + videos, and then click picture library.
    2. click on Folders to sort your files and folders in alphabetical order, click date taken to sort your folders and files by date or click tags to sort your files by tags that have been applied. (To learn more about labels and how to use them, see tag pictures so they are easier to find.)
