How to connect incremental encoder to NI9411?

Hello

I need to connect an incremental encoder to a NOR-9411 digital input on a chassis cRIO module to use for high-speed triggering.  I'm having trouble to know how to connect the wires needed to the encoder until the 9411 correctly.

The son of transport the following signals:

A red
B Green
Z Brown
+ V blue
OV-Orange

I'm fairly inexperienced with the connection of the sensors to LabVIEW gear, then please let me know if I can provide more information on my installation.

In addition, attached is the datasheet for the encoder.

Thank you very much!

Alex

Hi Byrd,

Thanks for the post and I hope that your well today.

I'm afraid I'm not totally sure what is your problem.

The NI 9411 manual can be found here: for additional reading.

The manual explains how to connect unbalanced devices on the 9411.

page 12:

"An example of asymmetrical device is an asymmetrical encoder. Connect each of the encoder signals (phase A, phase B, and)
the index) to one of the pins in a pair of pins of DI. Figure 5 shows the connections for an asymmetrical encoder. »

In labVIEW, you can then create a DAQmx task to read all digital lines.

Hope this helps to get started you,

  • 6009 USB + encoder Lika I41 - how to connect?

    Hello world

I'm new to this forum and I'm new to Labview so. I started to learn a few weeks ago and I have to solve a few problems. I am not able to come up with my own, and that is why I ask. I went through very simple LabView courses and now I'm in more serious trouble.

I have first - the NI USB-6009 device and an incremental encoder Lika I41-h-500ZCU46L2. He has 8-cable and is described here: http://www.lika.pl/pliki_do_pobrania/QR%20I28_I40_I41.pdf . And now - I know the basics on the encoders so the description of cables is understandable to me. I don't know how to connect it to the USB-6009? I need to do a VI that will count the pulses and the output of the camera each X impulses. But I want to start by counting pulses.

Any help will be MUCH appreciated.

  • I want to simulate linear incremental encoder to Labview FPGA

    Hi all

I use the card to FPGA OR 7851-R to simulate incremental linear encoder. I want to generate the impetus A and B of the map to simulate the features of linear incremental encoder according to the distance.

I don't know how to do so please help me for the same thing.

Have you tried to write any code yet? Why not start by generating just the channel has? It is a question of turning a digital channel on and off at regular intervals - a PWM with duty cycle of 50%. I think you can find examples of generation PWM is included with LabVIEW or on this forum. Then, to generate channel B, you must enter the code, but with the starting point offset by 1/4 of the period. Once it works, simply limit the number of periods of release based on the "journey".

Look through the examples, write code and see how far you can get. When you get stuck, view the code that you have written on this subject and explain the problem.

  • How to connect to weblogic?

I have an ADF web applicaton that contains 2 projects, model-ViewController.
I create another project named Build and it has an xml file, ojdeploy - build.xml.
However, how to connect to the domain of weblogic in ojdeploy - build.xml?

    -ojdeploy - build.xml.
    <? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "US-ASCII"? >

<!-sets the default settings for any deployment tasks.
Also defines some variables strictly for use in this file
    in macros
    ->
    < ojdeploy-construction >
    < deployment >
    < parameter name = "workspace" value="E:\SOAworkspace\otnapp\otnapp.jws"/ >
    < name of the parameter = value "profile" = "*" / >

    < / ojdeploy-construction >

This blog gives you a start http://blogs.oracle.com/smuenchadf/2009/11/online_help_for_ojdeploy_utili.html
But I can say that ojdeploy creates just the EAR file. It does not deploy it to a WLS. For this, you can use WSLT.

You can do it with an Ethernet cable (and on two Macs Ethernet ports) and use file sharing.  You can also connect via WiFi, but the transfer speed will be slower.  If both Mac connected to the Internet via a common router, you already have a link between two Macs.  Here is information on file sharing

  • Want to 750-209: how to connect an old sound system to a new computer

I wanted a new 750-209 and a former speaker of Cambridge Soundworks PCWorks 19th Point Surround 4 + under low voltage. There are 2 connector; Left and right who are article 3 (each take manages 3 drivers). The envy has 1 output. It seems that I need a derivation ending in female connectors.

My question? How to connect the two? Is it still possible? I'd hate to have a decent sound system of junk. My needs are basic - just to be able to listen on AOL or YouTube.

Any ideas on how to accomplsh my goal.

Just to close this debate; unfortunaely the quick response has not responded to the problem. BestBuy has suggested that I try a composed of derivation of a shot and 2 containers. Finally, I got the system works 'after' discovery that the enormous power brick disliked the new arrangement of power when I replaced the old computer with the desire. I had to replace an adapter 3 - wat and consolidate the brick. A lot of noise to get her old system to work but now I have the choice of speakers or headphones driven by a hold on a HDMI monitor. All's well that ends well. Thanks for the interest.

  • How to connect two computers and LAN

I can't get my toshiba to interface with my desktop computer or to connect to the internet via a CAT5.
    I tried everything I know.

I'm not too sure about the LAN MAC? He just will not connect even if the device is functioning properly.

    Any ideas?

Here are the instructions how can connect the two computers.

-First of all, you will need to disable the firewall.
-Then you need to set the same workgroup on both computers
-in the Lan Card Properties-> Protocol TCP/IP settings, you must assign the IP address manually. That is, a computer must use the 192.186.50.1 ip address and the other computer must be set to 192.186.50.2.
-MAC address is fixed and cannot be changed. Each LAN card uses unique mac address

After these settings, you must restart the portable computers (computers)

PS: I recommend Google for details and further instructions.

    Hello

You can use two cables to connect your laptop to the TV. It s according to the interfaces on the laptop and the TV, but in both cases, it of the same:
Connect the cable to the laptop and TV, turn on your TV and select the right channel, then turn on your laptop. After the clean boot procedure, you can switch between monitors with FN + F5.

If you use S-Video cable make sure you are using the coding system good TV, e.g. PAL or NTSC.

    Thus, its what

If I have an old TOSHIBA 28W23 - how it connectable to an other PC gx270s?

If someone has any advice id love it.

It depends on the ports/plugs available.

Don t know both devices but maybe your laptop supports a SCART.
In this case you must use a cable SCART.
Is the computer supports s-video port? If Yes, then you can use a cable SCART-s-video to connect the two devices.

  • How to connect Apple TV to two different amplifiers?

How to connect Apple TV to two different amplifiers?

If you're talking about AppleTV 4 then there a single HDMI output only.

You need either a HDMI switch or a divisor of direct HDMI to different amps (may not work at the same time due to HDCP) or see if an amp offers HDMI or optical output to the other depending on whether or not you want to distribute audio or video to the 2 amp.

If you need a splitter/switch, it's an extra box and you might consider only 2 AppleTV, don't forget a rental on one will not be seen on the other.
